Sul Sul! And Welcome to the Oasis Springs Society! I’ve played through a whole full year already and we’re back to spring with our very first family – the Morgans.
I played this season ages ago. Like literally months ago – so I’m going to have to do a lot from memory. My laptop decided it couldn’t keep up with the sims anymore – so I had to move my save to my husband’s desktop computer… which of course didn’t get done until recently… anyway, let’s see let’s see… I seem to remember some aliens having loads of parties and then they had a baby. And my gardener sim Nancy was just ticking over with life. Kirby and whatever her husband is called were making quite a cute little family. So let’s see what happens this time.
We start by joining Walter doing his homework here, sigh – he’s such a great kid. My absolute favourite so far, but let me see how Syrah grows up first (shhh don’t tell Walter).
Kirby is still trying to search for life outside of this solar system. Umm, your best friends are aliens – it’s hardly a mystery.
Ishaan and Walter are being Ishaan and Walter. Walter must have said something shocking.
And the kids are still finding time for a good amount of play dates. It must be great having your best friends right across the street. Walter gets on well with both Logan and Florence, even when they decide to set fire to his chemistry table. *facepalm*
Thank God for these responsible adults though. Kirby rings the fire department but it’s already put out before they even get here. Ishaan is really not that bothered. This must not be his first chemistry table fire rodeo.
Walter: “no hard feelings on almost burning my bedroom down guys”
Florence: We almost had it! So close!
Florence, honey, you’re mean, not evil… can you tone it down a touch please?
Ishaan meanwhile plods through work and comes home exhausted. There’s something very difficult I find about the culinary career hours in TS4, they’re just exhausting… plus with all the requirements to practice making dishes or drinks at home. I know it’s much like real life and the hours in the restaurant business are killers, but it hurts to see my simmies so drained!
Kirby is plodding on through as well really. God I’m so useless at the medical career. I almost always get the diagnosis wrong (despite using a walkthrough I found online which lists the different symptoms)… and then Kirby gets massively upset. And her patients get very pissed off.
Kirby: “yep, I can confirm. No brain.. torch goes right through!”
Although maybe her bedside manner doesn’t help. (Can confirm I am a decent medic IRL – promise!)
But she loves coming home to play a relaxing game of chess with her son. Hashtag I love Walter!!
Meanwhile Ishaan is being a bit of a grumpy pants this rotation and would prefer to take a bubble bath.
To spice it up, we go out to one of the libraries. I figure Kirby can skill, and Ishaan can socialise. Kirby ends up playing a game with her old boss and good friend, Wren. Which was lovely to see. Meanwhile, the librarian tries to flirt with one of the customers only to be swiftly turned down.
I wouldn’t worry – it looks like the librarian is already exchanging messages with a nice woman on smatch.com already.
Ishaan: “I told you, you’ve got to start off with a few nice messages. Make it seem like you’re not just some guy in a library.”
Ouch.
It suddenly turns in to a reunion of my playables and friends of friends in here. And my laptop was starting to lag like an elephant through peanut butter. So we went home. Umm, Sato… Kirby’s eyes are up there hon.
Thinking this couple could benefit from some private time, I thought a night out at the fancy experimental restaurant is just what was needed.
And it was all going really well until this couple (who’s name always escapes me… the Olivers?) started flirting from their table too. No thanks, we’re not in to that! Just wanted a quiet night out as a couple! My save is cursed with promiscuity.
Ishaan was raging and they argued the rest of their date away. Meanwhile I watched this guy here coo over his dinner. Then noticed he had 2 meals and wondered who he could possibly be dining with.
Katrina: “heh heh heh, thanks for paying!” *goes to eat somewhere else*.
The class on this one, am I right?!
Anyway, marriage almost ruined by some unreciprocated flirting in the restaurant (it’s true, Kirby and Ishaan did nothing but argue when they got home and now barely have a relationship bar left!), it’s time for Kirby to go to work.
This lady collapsed in the entrance and needed some life saving surgery. I had to laugh aloud. So realistic, I’m able to walk all my critically ill patients to theatre too! *eyeroll*. Anyway, the woman was fixed and able to go home straight after.
In celebration Kirby decides to take her clothes off and I consider my save around 98% cursed.
Another space trip for this little explorer. And I just love this house as a family home (just wish there was a bit more outdoors space).
The next day I got a quick chuckle from both the Landgraabs needing to be at the hospital.
Geoffrey: “Umm, it was all Nancy’s idea! Oh gawsh, please don’t let my manager find out!”
Sure, you guys smack me as having as much smut as each other, hope you enjoyed yourselves.
And it was time for another party. Kirby felt instantly refreshed from being around the rest of the Oasis Springs Society as the bickering between her and Ishaan is continuing at home.
Vihaan has actually become really good friends with Johnny Zest and it’s nice to see. I’m sure I remember them hating each other when Vihaan was a teen.
Umm hello, birthday over here people!
Everyone is seemingly fascinated with Nancy or something out the window so whatever. The only person watching is Walter (of course! *squee!*).
Everyone does join in for the cheering and the cake however.
And Ishaan, after an appropriate elderly makeover goes to dance in the bedroom.
God I love Kirby so much!
And Chiara too! Who just makes an Eiffel Tower out of clay like it’s nothing.
And then it’s time for more work. And the end of this rotation with the Morgan’s. Sorry it’s been a bit dry. I was trying to make Kirby advance more in her job and at home the atmosphere is pretty tense with her and Ishaan. Walter has just been sweet little Walter and kept out of the way. I’m going to try and spice these guys up a little bit next time. I suppose I need to evaluate where Kirby and Ishaan’s relationship is going to go. I’m not even joking – they actually had barely any relationship bar left after that date so things must be tense. Anyway, I have other households to think of! And it’s time to play spring somewhere else!
