Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 1 – Summer – Evaristo

We’re back with my favourite alien in the Oasis Springs Society, Chiara Evaristo. Who remembers what Chiara did last time? Because I’ve done 3 night shifts since then and I’m tired with a capital ‘t’.

She got a job as a critic, was ridiculously poor because she kept throwing parties for her aspiration and eating out, and had her first kiss with barkeeper Trevon Patino. And I think that’s about it. We’re joining Chiara in the middle of a heatwave. But who is she greeting?

Why this guy of course, Elliott! I still don’t have a clue who I want to pair Chiara with, or if I want to pair her up at all… but then I don’t want to lose her genetics…

So I’ve decided to do a little science experiment to find an alien to pair Chiara up with.

Elliott just does this out of nowhere..

And the first kiss too!

And Chiara decides to investigate whether Elliott is an alien. Sadly, he isn’t hiding anything. Thanks for participating Elliott, now home you go.

But he invites Chiara out to the flea market. Chiara is trying to haggle with the vendor is here who is more concerned about dancing? But Chiara is too poor to afford anything anyway so it’s a bit irrelevant.

Aw, they are actually quite cute and Elliott did this autonomously.

The gang then also decided to hang out at the karaoke bar that evening as Chiara wanted to hold a group gathering.

Our test subject *cough cough* the next day is Trevon, the bartender who Chiara had her first kiss with last rotation. I figured we might as well check if he is secretly an alien. But, he isn’t.

Looking at Chiara’s relationship panel she actually hates Mimsy, but her and Bernard are the only ghosts who haunt the lot. Sadly Chiara was asleep or I’d be watching for the sparks to fly!

Considering Chiara is a critic, one of her work tasks was to try out all the flavours on a bubble blower. I couldn’t be bothered to send her out so I buy this one with the intention to sell it afterwards. Bubble blower rental scheme anyone?

Ahem, say no more.

Third guy on the list of conquests is also not an alien.

So Chiara heads out to meet new people and is very impressed with herself.

And she meets Jesminder! Who is looking pretty frustrated about something… but Chiara is more interested in her food.

We try some darts as this pub is pretty dead on the hot men front. Literally there was just Travis Scott and seeing as he’s been a spouse in pretty much every legacy, we certainly know there’s no alien genetics hiding under his trousers.

So our next step is that I noticed the Mail man is pretty hot. But he didn’t seem to stay for long. Note how Elsa Bjergsen is literally everywhere in my game.

So we throw a party for Chiara’s aspiration!

Ishaan: “oh hey Nancy! No hard feelings on our partners flirting with each other hey?”

Well, this is a bit awkward. Keep in mind that Johnny and Ishaan are good friends!

And we hire Jesminder as our bartender (see I knew there was a purpose in talking to her at the bar).

But it all ends in tears, and for a pretty stupid reason. You see Johnny gave Nancy a little kiss, but because he has that goddamned relationship bar with Chiara, Chiara took it pretty hard. Yes, she is upset and angry that Johnny kissed his own wife.

She did actually slap him. Why in my game?!

Not sure why but Vihaan was pretty pissed off after that and decided to start on Chiara.

But then Vihaan seemed to continue the feud that he has with Johnny. It’s always fun with these 2 together as they really just hate each other and I don’t know why!

So Johnny had to go and give himself a pep talk in Chiara’s bathroom because he was so upset.

Yes, I have no reflections in my mirrors as my game chugs a bit!

All in all, the party nose-dived seeing as Chiara is upset that her lover who isn’t her lover dared to kiss his own wife, and the arguments with Vihaan and Johnny.

I tried to cheer Chiara up with a night at Alien night at the bar. We went to that really nice secluded place in Windenburg which I thought was stunning! And I love the little cottage that is out of the way in the distance too!

I thought some Don’t Wake the Llama would work, but it didn’t as Chiara lost and only got more sad.

Although she did meet this guy, Clive.

Clive: “You know I had some doubts that you were a real alien Chiara, but you actually are! You even know the secret handshake with the added shaking of the szwrffsklwab! And your Sixamese is perfect!”

It looks like they got along but they actually didn’t. Chiara is very sad here and getting her motivated to even do any interactions with Clive was hard work. So she called it a night and went home.

The next day the cherry tree outside had born fruit so I had Chiara gift one to Nancy to help grow her garden. I thought Nancy would see it as a good present but she actually hated it!

Never mind as the Oasis Springs Society decided to tear up the town at the local bar! Although they all then complained that there was nowhere to dance! Facepalm!

This guy did try to flirt with Chiara, but beat it bub, unless you’re an alien under that baby face keep moving!

Nancy: “That’s it I’m going!”

The next day Chiara’s work task is to review 3 drinks and paint some graffiti. So where better to go than the spice district?! She blatantly doesn’t care that its 09.30 and she’s ordering a wine.

Bartender: “Umm yeah sure this is all for work purposes lady…”

That little writing down her notes action is so cute! Look at her being all serious and things!

Just a photo because she is gorgeous!

After, Chiara goes out with Clive to the bistro. I can only assume Clive takes food straight from the fridge on account of being a klepto?

He then came back to Chiara’s house. Bearing in mind they had a pretty good relationship at this point… he autonomously erased her memory! God damn it! I had a decision to make at this point whether to give up or to try and build their relationship again.

That’s obvious what I chose isn’t it!

It was then time to cool off at the bluffs with some skinny dipping! Funnily, Chiara was the only one who did actually take her clothes off, Nancy and Kirby stood back and only got in the pool to swim.

In fact, Chiara was so shameless that she had no inhibitions about shaking her thing to the DJ booth I sneakily placed. I love Nancy’s face in this! And in some ways I think it sums up their friendship well!

Nothing to add here, just that I love these girls!

And it’s time for Chiara’s ‘last day of the season party’ which I think I should make tradition! Note how Nancy goes right up to talk to the plants instead of other humans… or aliens… whatever.

Clive seems to be fitting in well whilst Nancy and Johnny do what they do best and flirt non stop.

Aww cute, Vihaan and Kirby actually have a really good relationship!

And after the party I decide to move Clive in. I wasn’t going to do this so soon but I want baby aliens and I figure if things don’t work out then that’s fine too. Clive’s traits are kleptomaniac, self assured and lazy… so not the best.. but his aspiration is bestselling author. So maybe he can write all day and watch the kids.

Chiara does manage to fit in one last trip to the bluffs… and this time she’s so confident in her own skin she comes all the way home in it!

Anyway, until next time!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 1 – Summer – Cooper

Hi and welcome back to the Oasis Springs Society! We’re back with Nancy Cooper who last time had a tendency to set herself on fire, but also found her soulmate Johnny Zest. I’ve had the couple quickly get engaged at the beginning of this rotation so we can move on with the wedding but I just had to put this screenshot in! I thought it was really sweet that they both feel deeply in love with each other! As you can see Johnny’s traits are goofball, ambitious and outgoing.

Let’s move on with the wedding shall we?!

Where else would I pick but the Von Haunt estate?! Oasis Springs is burning hot and sunny, but here the weather is quite overcast – although at least it isn’t raining. I love this little location they have here as it looks so idyllic. As Nancy loves the outdoors I think this suits her too.

At the beginning of the party I quickly whipped the house in to shape and removed the silly guest barriers so that the rooms were functional again for an actual party. I understand that initially it was meant to be like a historical, preserved home that you can go and look round… but in my mind I can’t help but see it as a historical house that has been restored over the ages and now you can rent it out for functions and things. I’ve kept the information signs about the place but I’m glad we can now use things like the kitchen, dining room, lounge and bathroom!

And here we go, get ready for the spam…

Aren’t they gorgeous everyone?! I’m pleased with the choice of venue! I was a little apprehensive as to where all the guests would stand to watch, but they stood back nearer the fountain so it worked out ok!

Now, you may notice that I can’t take staged photos as fancy as the other nice simmers out there! There’s always someone else getting in the way or my sims pulling derpy expressions, but look at the beautiful day these guys had! Maybe I should download a pose hack so I can take some nice family photos…

Johnny continues to torment Vihaan a little bit! I’m not sure why but he’s always mocking him, same in Kirby’s rotation. I think Vihaan actually has very neutral if not negative relationship with Johnny because of this – the poor guy. Even though Vihaan was an unexpected addition to the family I do really like him.

Even the ghosts love a bit of what our caterer is cooking!

At the end of the party, the couple retires to one of the bushes in the garden. What? You didn’t expect me to use a deceased couples bed do you? I have some decorum.

Anyway, I’m actually a bit annoyed at Johnny as he decided to go ahead and flirt with Chiara at his own wedding and now they have a relationship bar! Fml! So this rotation I’m going to have to find her and ask to just be friends. This actually really made me angry, I even contemplated feeding Johnny to Pickles the cow plant once we’d used him for baby making purposes but my husband talked me out of that. So I guess we’ll see where this goes.

The next day Nancy has a little announcement for her husband. Johnny was very happy that he’ll be a dad so that’s good.

Kirby also invited herself round so Nancy shared the news with her too. I’ve finally used Johnny’s moving in money to do up the house. It’s nothing fancy so I won’t be doing a tour… but the downstairs is now completely open plan, I’ve spruced up the garden as it’s Nancy’s favourite place to be and added 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. I do see this being a forever home for the couple so I want to make it in to something nice for them.

The girls also get pizza. I’m glad it keeps pregnant women away from starvation in TS4 as much as it did in TS2!

Chiara actually invites the Oasis Springs Society out to the ancient ruins so they had a little water fight and then went home. Nancy may or may not have had to pee in the bush a couple of times.

Nancy continues to rise through the gardener career track and her daily task was to give one of her flowers away as a gift. I was going to invite Chiara round so that Johnny could also chat with her about you. Know. What. But Chiara is busy every weekday, and even when I click on her house it says she isn’t in – maybe it’s the hours of her job. Anyway, I digress… Nancy gave Kirby one of her nicest and most expensive flowers she harvested that morning but Kirby didn’t seem to like it much… excellent.

So the couple decide to go to Geek Con for something to do instead. Nancy proposes they woohoo in the observatory, it’s a shame they couldn’t have some spaceship woohoo but the game seems to feel that that isn’t something pregnant simmies should be getting up to.

Johnny also then decides to flirt with this lady who I think is Averie Oliver. For god sake Johnny go be a lush in someone else’s story please?

And then, to my dismay…. Nancy uproots Pickles the cow plant! God damn it! We only just got it and I was kicking myself. I even had her go through the trash to see if we could get it out… but no luck.

Anyway, I tried out the new cooking together action which started off a bit like this…. Nancy hates cooking so was complaining whilst preparing the fish. Johnny stood there awkwardly.

He did eventually help out making a sauce or something though. So yeah, pretty sweet interaction, would recommend!

2nd trimester here now and I’m hoping we’re not looking at twinnies!

Meanwhile, Johnny is invited to join Partihaus by some Star Wars looking guy. It might fun so I have him join.

Who’d have thought that Star Wars guy was Marcus Flex?! I love the way the girls in the background are looking like “who’s invited Johnny Zest?!” They do all have a good time though!

Back at home, Nancy has risen through the career ranks enough to become a botanist and her career reward is a cow plant seed. Which certainly made me feel better about pickles ending up in the trash. I’m not sure what to call this little one… maybe it’ll come with time.

However Nancy decides to go in to labour in the garden.

I know the dad panic is often humorous, but for some reason when it’s Johnny Zest it makes it more hilarious?!

We have a boy! This little guy is called Logan and will be largely ignored until he’s a toddler.

So it’s business as usual. Johnny has actually become really good friends with Marcus Flex which just makes me laugh too much! Johnny hates fitness but still wants to show off his ‘muscles’.

Marcus is a good friend and pretends to be impressed. Stick to the comedy Johnny!

Baako is also at the lounge and I learnt that Johnny hates him! Like actual enemies?! I have no idea what’s gone on to cause that… Baako is just there to show his sweet moves to the foxy ladies, aww yeah…

Kirby comes round and I thought she was going to change the baby… but actually she just wanted to think that he smells like old boot. Ok then.

And it’s time for Logan’s birthday to toddlerhood! All the gang is here and I have Johnny invite Marcus as his only friend.

Chiara goes to see Logan and evidently has something important to tell him.

Yes, I’m a little anxious having Chiara here what with her relationship bar with Johnny – facepalm.

Kirby is busy making friends in the street.

And it’s only Nancy around to watch Logan age up. Blimey what an outfit. We’ll get him to a dresser ASAP.

But in the mean time, it turns out I had nothing to worry about with Johnny and Chiara as he’d rather make out with his wife.

And this is Logan after his makeover. I kept the hair similar but not as long. And I changed his outfits. Logan rolled fussy and I can see a lot of Nancy in him with his complexion and eye colour.

The party carries on going really well. Of course Logan gets a big serving of chocolate cake to celebrate.

Until this happened. God damn it! Johnny decided to flirt with Kirby so now they have a romance bar too! But in front of Ishaan and Nancy who are both now absolutely raging! Gah I just hope things are alright with Ishaan and Kirby next season! For crying out loud Johnny you are so getting cow planted at some point.

Needless to say that evening the Coopers got their trash can kicked over. Surprise who that could have been, but I’m guessing Ishaan.

Cassandra: ‘I’m not used to neighbourhoods like this… I think I’ll cross over!”

Well that’s the end of the Cooper’s rotation, from a wedding to Logan to the extramarital flirting, it’s been a busy summer. Maybe they’ll have a slightly less eventful fall. Until next time!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 1 – Summer – Morgan

Are you ready for more Oasis Springs Society? Sure you are! Let’s go!

It’s summer and we start off with a heatwave. When I loaded the lot Kirby was dutifully playing chess before her shift at work.

She gets in to the swing of things and even treats her first patient.

Whilst arguing with another. Elsa just started being rude out of nowhere so Kirby argued back. I’m really glad my patients aren’t children, Kirby is nicer than I am!

We have to give Nancy Landgraab an x-ray but I couldn’t help but laugh at her face. Poor thing.

Then we’re back to give Elsa her treatment. Sadly (ha ha ha) llama flu can only be cured with a shot. So hold tight…. This gave me a lot of satisfaction if you can’t tell.

We can now afford the woodworking table for Kirby’s aspiration! I’m interested in exploring the woodworking hobby with Kirby as I’ve never got very far through it before. She made me laugh carving a big block of wood in her scrubs, not something I recommend.

That evening Kirby invites Ishaan out for a date. It looks like she’s really complaining at him here, but she isn’t, they’re actually have long a really nice time! I just had to get a shot of them having a nice evening whilst the waitress is struck by lightening outside! Yeah we’re having a heatwave in Oasis Springs, but that translates to storms everywhere else it seems!

Kirby asks Ishaan to be her boyfriend and he says yes. Look how happy she is! They are really sweet together.

Got to get a new relationship selfie.

And well we know what happens next.

Kirby’s recent promotion has led to a reshuffle at the hospital. Sato is now a doctor and there is a new orderly who does no work but just talks all day. I couldn’t find Wren and thought surely she hasn’t left, but she’s now on the reception desk?!

I didn’t realise that Kirby could now get bleeps which I thought was pretty interesting. Hopefully she’ll get some more interesting urgent jobs in the future.

It’s time for a reunion of the Oasis Springs Society. I still love watching the group dances and I love how they make the group happy when they’re performed.

After the outing, Ishaan invites Kirby out on a date at the estate in Windenburg. It’s still raining heavily and they’re uncomfortable that their clothes are soaked. I also saw Ishaan complain that he was really hungry so I did a few interactions and called it off. Turns out, even when a date isn’t ‘scored’, Ishaan still recognised it as a bad date and was a bit angry with Kirby! I have her do a smooth apology and it goes down well. She goes home to somewhere a lot warmer!

The next day at work Kirby successfully treats this lady. I know she doesn’t look like anyone in particular, but this lady always busks in the arts district and Chiara watches her a lot for her job tasks. So I felt a duty to treat her so that Chiara would have someone to watch!

That evening, Kirby asks Ishaan to move in with her… and I can’t decide if it went well or not.

You see, Ishaan had this guy, Vihaan in his household. Even though he was wearing a scouts outfit I didn’t really think much of it. So I split the household. I assumed Vihaan was Ishaan’s brother or something so I’m then taken off to decide where I want Vihaan to live. I plop him down in the Culpepper Apartments to then see he’s a teen! Of course he is! So I check the relationship panel… and yep… Vihaan is Ishaan’s son. Bloody hell. So I think I can’t send Vihaan to live on his own, the family should be together. So overnight Kirby now has a teen in the house and is essentially a step mum. There’s no record of who Vihaan’s mum actually is. He has nice traits though so it’s not all bad… just not exactly the direction I was going to take this couple but never mind. I must admit, this definitely made me think of the situation with Adora in Sam’s Culpepper Pals!

Did everyone keep up with that? No? Let’s look at stats then.

Ishaan is an adult who is ambitious, a geek and a bookworm he has the aspiration master chef.

Vihaan is a teen (as we are all painfully aware) who is cheerful, a geek and has the added trait of spice hound. He also has the master chef aspiration… but I already have plans for adulthood in a shortlist for him!

I convert the room Kirby’s woodworking bench was in in to a small bedroom for Vihaan. It has all the basics and is cosy enough. Nothing special. The family didn’t bring enough funds for me to do anything drastic with the house, but had enough for me to be able to decorate or make a few things better.

The next day, Kirby invites the girls round but Chiara couldn’t stay. I love this photo, it makes me think that Kirby is telling Nancy how her life changed suddenly over night and Nancy is like; “he has a son?!”

But these two are smitten for each other and Ishaan proposes. Of course Kirby says yes. I’ve held back on the spam so you’ll be pleased to hear there are only 2 photos of this!

The next day at work, Kirby has to perform her first surgery which I thought was a cool milestone to reach. Ah, you never forget your first clinical procedures! Although Kirby royally screwed it up and lost a lot of job performance. I felt crappy on her behalf actually but there’s always next time.

Kirby: “You mean this kidney shaped organ isn’t the swollen appendix?!”

Vihaan is a really good kid actually and has slotted in to the family with no fuss or dramas. As we already know he’s in the scouts and enjoys cooking, so I’m trying to have him work on the badges that involve cooking, cleaning, manners etc and then focussing on the skill based ones. In fact, even though I got seasons some time ago, Vihaan is the first time I’ve played a kid through the scouts. So this is the game that keeps giving!

There’s still always ample opportunity to blow off steam with the Oasis Springs Society though!

Umm Chiara… you, and that guy’s leg? Give him some space?

Random guy: “heh heh foxy alien lady! I’m just gonna keep dancing!”

I did a bit of thinking about the Oasis Springs Society and I’m definitely keeping it as a group for just the 3 original girls. However, I may make a bigger group in time of the girls and their respective partners so they can meet up as one extended bunch.

It’s a Saturday, so I figure it would be nice to take the family to the pool to cool down and so that Ishaan and Vihaan can properly meet the rest of the group. Johnny was tense the whole time as he hates swimming. Nancy and Kirby actually really enjoyed themselves. Chiara came for about 2 minutes then ran off. I’m not sure why, but she never stays for long at events anymore… I wonder if it’s the timings of her job?

Vihaan also loves swimming and is having a great time…

Right up until he dives directly on to the guy’s head. Was that Denis Kim? Bloody hell I’m surprised Vihaan didn’t kill him. Kirby is just as concerned as I was that there’s now an elderly guy in the pool with a head injury. But this is the sims where none of that apparently matters.

I decide I want Ishaan and Johnny to be friends, which is fine only Ishaan is now glitched and has to swim to go anywhere. Great, I hope this isn’t the beginning of the end of this save! The guys are friends now though so that’s one thing I guess.

Vihaan generally got along well with everyone, except Johnny it seems… who shouted at him because he was tense… because he hates swimming… but he got himself in the pool. Go figure.

Back home, Ishaan is thankful to be back on dry land! And as I was saying earlier, this couple is the sweetest. They’re forever doing autonomous romantic interactions. I’m totally here for it.

And as it’s the final day of the rotation, we decide to throw a little dinner party after swimming. Doesn’t this look like a nice night?! Chiara didn’t turn up altogether, so I’m not sure what’s going on with her, but I feel like she’s barely been involved this rotation.

Vihaan spends the last evening in summer doing some fishing by the family home. Again, in an effort to work towards a scout badge.

And the adults are doing what seems to be a regular thing in this place. So we’ll leave them to it shall we?

Kirby has certainly had a really eventful summer! She is halfway through the medical career field, she’s engaged to marry Ishaan, had a son sprung on her… who knows where the next rotation will go!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 1 – Spring – Evaristo

Hello again! Are you ready for the final household for this season? We’re joining Chiara Evaristo in spring. You would have met Chiara already, but I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned her traits or aspiration before?

Chiara is the best lil alien and she is a foodie, creative and outgoing. Her aspiration is party animal. I’m picturing playing Chiara to be a lot of fun. I’ve checked her relationships panel and she has some interesting friends (the Fengs, Penny Pizazz etc) and already has an enemy! So lord knows what happened, but I’m guessing the guy deserved it.

I really couldn’t decide which career to pick for Chiara. I’ve never played the social media one before and thought that would suit her, but I went with critic in the end to tie in with the foodie trait. Chiara has a quiet morning practicing her writing skill.

But Chiara isn’t about the hard work and she needs to meet new people for her aspiration, so heads off to a bar in Windenburg. She autonomously orders a stiff drink as she’s feeling a bit tense from ‘low brain power’. I get that making small talk too, Chiara. I feel you! Mostly people are very receptive to Chiara being an alien – what can I say, we live in a *pretty* tolerant world now… but there are a couple of jerks who don’t like her. To be honest Chiara couldn’t care less.

As a slight aside, I’ve given Chiara’s house the haunted trait as maybe we can make friends with some ghosties.

Not wasting any time, Chiara throws her first house party. It’s quite a small one with the other girls invited and Johnny, also Penny Pizazz and another one of Chiara’s friends, but I forget his name. I should really write all of this down shouldn’t I?!

Chiara just loves having people round and decides that everyone could benefit from some Mac and cheese.

Fortunately, the food goes down well and the party is going great in the background there. Chiara is still pretty much flat broke, but the Oasis Springs Society knows by now that you only need banging tunes for a good time.

I love Chiara too much I think (like the other girls) but she does annoy me by autonomously erasing people’s memories. She was good friends with this guy but erased his memory and she has to start from scratch again. Maybe it’s a tactical thing if she’s planning many love interests? Your secret is safe with me Chiara, and the good people at boolprop.com. Hello!

There’s a reason I didn’t remember this guy’s name, because he is a jerk. He told Nancy in front of everyone that he didn’t like her.

Kirby found it all a bit overwhelming and had to cry. Meanwhile, Nancy’s boyfriend Johnny is too busy being charmed by Penny. God, the sims.

No sooner had the party finished, I thought some karaoke was in order so Chiara heads to San Myshuno. My favourite karaoke bar there is the one in the spice district as I like the little rooms and it just feels cosier. Surprisingly, Johnny decided he also needed another drink and showed up too. Arun was pretty stoked to meet Chiara actually and no sooner had he met her, started talking about spaceship woohoo. And I can just imagine his nerdy little self like

“Well hello alien lady…. So I have a question about…”

Chiara really is the life and soul. Her traits mean that she pretty much instantly makes friends with people.

Just look at that face! And I can’t help but notice how Raj is looking at her, but I don’t particularly like him much so moving swiftly on!

Hilariously Kirby is also here with Sato?! I love how she has her hand on her hip like she is expecting nonsense to happen. She’s giving him ‘don’t let me down’ vibes.

The next day Chiara is invited out to Geekcon but bumps in to the bartender from yesterday. They’re pretty good friends actually and he seems a nice guy.

But I have other plans and send Chiara home to throw a dinner party with the girls for Chiara’s aspiration. This is really like some form of desperate housewives as the topic of conversation changed to woohoo and the girls were clapping and laughing.

It’s all in a days work! Chiara goes to the arts district as she has to watch performers for her job. I wish this guy was some sort of interpretive art but no, he was just minding his own business taking a shower. I love how nobody cares what he’s doing. You do you!

The weather also takes a bit of getting used to, I’ve been really used to the very hot days in Oasis Springs (its the main hood I used to play anyway) so to see heavy rain in the middle of spring in other worlds just confuses me!

After a hard day of work it’s time to have a dance party! Kirby must have been working as she couldn’t come to this gathering of the Oasis Springs Society. But Chiara and Nancy made up for her absence.

That face! ❤️

The girls get some food and the bartender does the blowing fire trick. Does this count as Nancy getting set alright this rotation too? Why break the habit of a lifetime Nancy!

The next day is love day and Chiara really wants to go out on a date. I don’t want her having a rubbish love day, but the only guy she knew who she had a slight romance bar with was J Huntington! And he then turned Chiara down (the jerk). So we go out with Trevon (the bartender) and it then turns in to a date so Chiara is happy at least. They actually had a pretty good time. I had to spam them a bit on the romantic interactions as they didn’t seem too bothered about doing anything themselves. I don’t see them being together in a proper relationship but it was fun to see what happened.

Chiara then went to go get some curry (my ploy to get her to learn a new recipe) and then on to the karaoke bar.

Again, a good night was had by everyone and Chiara also got talking to the guy in the back, Elliott.

She managed to pick up some produce that Nancy hasn’t yet been able to find for her own garden. So I had Chiara plant them with the intention that on Nancy’s rotation I can stop by Chiara’s and harvest the fruit or take cuttings. Such good friends who like to share obviously!

And it’s time for the last day of the season so we might as well throw a party! I invited Miko over as Chiara actually has a very high relationship bar with her – without any input from me. These things are always a little slow going.

But eventually people make it outside where I’ve set up a little dance station. I didn’t buy the cardboard dance floor by the way, Chiara somehow just had it in her household inventory so I thought why not.

Yes, Nancy was invited! But she stood outside a lot talking to the Fyers lady. I didn’t realise she was in the gardening club, which may be something I get Nancy in to next season.

Eventually, we look like we’re having fun! Or was until Chiara flirted with Elliott out of nowhere and then Trevon was in a bad mood from it. Facepalm.

Yes, a brisk naked jog always cheers me up too. Maybe Nancy wanted to lighten the mood but I so did not think she would be the sort of sim to do something like that. So I really laughed. Hey, the parties are wild in the Oasis Springs Society!

Chiara then wanted to kiss someone. So I had her kiss Trevon. Again, this doesn’t mean I like him. To be honest I’m not sure why I don’t but I just don’t think they’re entirely suited.

However, the party was a success and I was able to sell the reward we got in order to get Chiara the bar she’s wanted for 3 days straight! Finally!

And typically, on our last night we got our first haunting. It’s Bernard from Windenburg! He haunted the bin outside for a little while then went home. Truly petrifying obviously!

What a spring Chiara has had! She’s actually done really well in the critic career track and has more friends in her relationship panel than I know what to do with. She’s almost finished level 2 of her aspiration as well (we just need to throw 1 more party and I was going to try and squeeze it in but couldn’t).

She really is fun to play as I still don’t know what direction to take her yet, so everything is still quite experimental. Who knows, join us next time to see what happens – your guess is as good as mine!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 1 – Spring – Cooper

Hi and welcome back to the second household in the Oasis Springs Society! We’re joining Nancy Cooper who we met briefly last time. Nancy is family oriented, loves the outdoors and neat. She’s just joined the gardening career but plans on having her own sizeable land to grow whatever she wishes. Nancy has the freelance botanist aspiration.

The welcome wagon quickly turn up. Nancy already knows everyone from Kirby’s rotation so it was more of a catch up, except this time Johnny brought the fruit cake. As per usual, Nancy hated it.

After the welcome wagon Nancy has a few drinks at the bistro to see who she can befriend but this evening it was a lot of families out to dinner together.

Upon getting back Nancy is quickly abducted.

And she is massively annoyed over it! Which I found weird as she felt confident when discovering that Chiara is an alien. I guess being forced to outer space against your will in a beam of light is a bit much though. Nancy went to bed anyway as it was getting late and she was absolutely raging.

The next day, just when we think things may start to go better… Nancy sets herself on fire again! Is she going to do this every rotation?!

So we head over to Johnny’s to make friends with the neighbours. I figure he might be able to make her laugh at least!

Johnny had to go to work not long after that, but the humour and hijinks festival was in town so the girls went together. Excuse the spam. Have I told you I love them already?!

After work Johnny calls Nancy to ask if she’d like to go with him, so they spend the rest of the night as a group. They get on well with the bubble blower, Chiara is loving every moment!

The next day, I send Nancy around Willow Creek to look for any plants she can harvest, preferably ones she doesn’t already have so that she can plant them in her own garden and increase her gardening skill and collection.

I figure she might as well go to Sylvan Glade, which I haven’t unlocked in ages, but did first time this time! Once I was in there I realised it was mainly for fishing as there weren’t any plants at all that Nancy could steal.

That evening Johnny comes round for dinner and the pair get on really well! They autonomously flirt and they just bounce off each other really nicely with telling jokes and funny stories too. I’m not rushing these two but we’ll see what happens if they go to social events together or invite each other out anywhere.

I then get Get Together which I’ve wanted for ages. I love the look of Windenburg and the various ways of socialising the EP gives. I quickly make the real Oasis Springs Society! I didn’t want to set them required tasks just yet and make it too restrictive, but who knows if I will do later.

The rest of the day is spent tending to the garden to try and boost gardening skill. Nancy is already pissy with me as I tried to get her to study it from a book and that didn’t go down well. So you know what I think we need….

Our first club meet yeahhh!!! Look at these queens!

Candy Behr suddenly had an ‘anti-alien’ speech or thought bubble (I didn’t properly see it in time) and then tried to show off with her dancing but landed flat on her face. And I love how Chiara appears so happy about it!

I told you last update that Chiara always sneaks off when I try and get photos of them all. Well here we go again. She decided her coffee was super urgent and she had to get it exactly that moment. Hey, guy in red, I’d get out that alien’s seat if I were you!

Nancy then wanted a bee box. And you know what, I hear it does great things for the garden so I got one. I’ve never had much luck with the bees, probably because I’m not sure what I’m meant to be doing with them… but I will try this time for Nancy. Don’t they look good friends already? Yes, they stung her after this.

Kirby calls another meeting of the Oasis Springs Society… and this time I ask that she adds Johnny on. I was going to see what happens with him and Nancy on free will. The club actually got so busy that they barely socialised with each other at all and instead just danced non stop.

All that dancing works up an appetite though, and the group head out to the bistro. There, Johnny and Nancy flirt a little bit.

The next day is love day and Johnny decides he’s not messing around. He asks Nancy out on a date about 10.30am! He actually selects the lovely area of the ancient ruins. And even though there’s nothing there, there didn’t need to be as you’ll see the couple barely moved from that spot. You’ll see from the pic spam they shared their first kiss and they also became a proper couple. It was actually so sweet, the pair do really suit each other and I just left them pretty much on auto pilot as they flirted and also told some jokes of course! This pair has a great way of conversation! It was really sweet how pop ups from Johnny were saying how he’s having so much fun etc. Sigh, so cute!

They make use of the bush whilst at the ruins. God sakes kids, can’t you read the sign?!

No sooner as her date had finished, the girls went to the spice fest.

I like to think that here they were talking about Nancy’s date (plus the stranger) as all of a sudden Chiara started talking about woohoo and applauded. How much do I love these girls?! The stranger quickly ran off after that!

Chiara also tries to eat the spiciest curry (I assume because she’s a foodie she wants to give it a go?). In the back you’ll note Nancy harvesting every fruit she can get her hands on. I didn’t check her inventory til I got home and you know what….

Meet Pickles! Yes! A cow plant! I’ve never had one in TS4 before. The TS2 ones were pretty cool so I can’t wait to see this thing grow and I’m already wondering who it’ll eat first. Yes, it has to be called Pickles to lure unsuspecting sims in with its apparent harmlessness. Insert evil laugh here.

The next day is the last day of the rotation and Nancy didn’t get up to anything really except potter about doing work and asking Johnny to move in. I know it’s not been long but I don’t want things to change without my input during the next rotation between them two and they suit each other so much that I’d feel mean to keep them apart.

And we’ll end the rotation there shall we?! Nancy has moved up the gardener career ladder a few times and I think she’s now on level 2 of freelance botanist. And in a week she’s managed to get herself a partner who’s moved in with her… so even though Nancy can’t help but to go up in flames in her kitchen, she’s not had it entirely bad has she?!

Join us next time for Chiara Evaristo’s turn in the rotation and if you’re enjoying the Oasis Springs Society, please leave a lil comment. Until next time!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 1 – Spring – Morgan

Hi and welcome to my new TS4 rotational save! I know I used to play the Waites legacy, and loved each and every one of the sims I had in it. But at the end of 2019/ early 2020 I had some issues with my game and my save couldn’t be restored and I’ve lost those characters seemingly forever. The past year I’ve also been pretty unwell but now back and playing again because I miss it! I didn’t fancy starting a new challenge as I liked the rotational gameplay I had with the Waites family. So here we are with a new rotational save!

It’s Oasis Springs, the homes are relatively cheap and it’s a fun place to start out if you have to work your way up from nothing – which these girls seemingly have to. It’s spring currently and the weather is already hot and humid. We’re ready to join the first member of the Oasis Springs society, but who is she?

Kirby Morgan moved to the area in search of a bit of peace and quiet. Kirby is good, ambitious and a genius with the nerd brain aspiration. She wants to become a doctor and also reasons to herself that maybe by living out in the boonies, she might see some interesting patients in her hospital.

The girls all live in the neighbourhood that has this cute outdoor space which I love! I love the secluded fishing area (if you ignore Nancy Landgraab!) and it made me chuckle that there’s a cupcake stand in the middle of the desert. Hey, when a girl wants some cake, she better get some cake.

Kirby spent pretty much all of her money on her house which is ok as I’m sure she’ll grow in to living there, but it means she only has the essentials indoors. So she heads out to the park to try and get some logic skill for her aspiration and career in the long run.

Kirby starts chatting to some locals. Doesn’t she look so enthusiastic? I’m really enjoying playing her already!

Although Kirby quickly discovered that the guy she was chatting to is evil. Which made her sad as she’s good.

Look at her poor little face!

“Umm, why are people mean?” Puppy dog eyes included!

The following day Kirby starts work as a general dogsbody at the hospital. She had a nice chat with her coworkers and got to know them a bit throughout the day.

But I think this actually glitched the lot, as then Kirby’s coworkers didn’t move all day and patients would just queue behind them and go home after a while. Maybe we’ll try a different technique tomorrow!

I was a bit miffed that Kirby had been out to a few places in town but hadn’t bumped in to the two other girls I had put in the neighbourhood, Nancy and Chiara. So Kirby decides to drop by Nancy’s house after work.

Nancy was cooking at the time and promptly set herself on fire which I thought was a touch extreme to get out of socialising!

I forgot we could call the fire brigade now, so Kirby jumps right in and puts the fire out herself.

“So, hello! I’m Kirby Morgan!” *waves*

Oh Kirby, you loveable dork. Nancy is lovely but I can’t help but think she’d be like:

“Excuse me, my kitchen just burnt down!”

Kirby decides to try and help Nancy feel better, but Nancy is very very aware that she stinks, is burnt to a crisp and there’s a stranger in her house. Nancy sends herself off for a shower after this and Kirby heads home (maybe she’ll have better luck befriending the girls tomorrow!)

The next day after work I have Kirby ask Nancy out for dinner at a little bistro in Willow Creek. Nancy is feeling much more herself today after nearly burning to death, and I plan to get these girls to be friends!

On another note, Mortimer is here with another woman. You can wear shades all you want, darling. They’re less of a disguise than you think they are’

And just look at that view! I didn’t realise the bistro was in quite such a gorgeous area when I plonked it in a slot from the gallery. I think I’ll be sending sims here a few times!

Kirby does quickly befriend Nancy whilst I take in the atmosphere. The girls are given a table outside whilst I people watch.

I’m not sure if it’s bugged though, although I’ve never had an issue with Dine Out before… but Nancy never got her food. So I felt a little bad that Kirby could tuck in to her BLT. On the other hand, Nancy looks pretty impressed with the chef’s choice of ‘juice’.

The next day at work ticks by nicely. I had to include this because it made me giggle. If light shone through my patients’ ears whilst I did that at work it would certainly cheer my shifts up a bit!

That evening Kirby goes round Chiara’s house to befriend her. The pair get along like a house on fire and become good friends very quickly! Kirby also loves that Chiara is an alien, and Chiara got the adoring sentiment for Kirby. So I’m sure the neighbourhood girls will get along great!

The next day is Kirby’s first day off so I have her invite one of her coworkers over for a game of chess to help her aspiration. Kirby is already good friends with Wren who she works with and this is Sato? Kirby soon gets a sentiment that she adores him… I wasn’t planning on pairing these two up in any way but maybe we can see how things go.

At that point, the welcome wagon calls round. They’re only about 4 days late but whatever. I love how Chiara brings the fruit cake. She’s a foodie so I can imagine that it would be one of her priorities to supply a good fruit cake for the welcome wagon.

Chiara drops the cake off on the table and then immediately comes out to just enjoy the sun and smile to herself then goes back in. Have I told you already I love her so much?!

Mortimer then came round unannounced for a chat, but didn’t stay for long as Kirby has other plans with the girls.

They head out for some singing at the karaoke bar. God I love this little group!

Kirby tries out some new dishes too. She quite likes cooking so I figure it would be nice for her to learn how to prepare these dishes.

Coincidentally, Sato is there and Kirby greets him with a hug. I’m just going to sit back and see what happens with these two.

The girls take to singing. They’re terrible, but at least they’re having fun!

Chiara has a thing about not being in the photos I take. I don’t know why, but she always manages to walk off at the wrong time or goes to do her own thing. It came as no surprise that she was at the bar!

The next day Kirby is off work and it’s love day, so I have Kirby ask Sato out to the park in San Myshuno to see what happens. Again, I’m not going to force anything but today Sato didn’t even make conversation with Kirby and instead walked off to go indoors. Kirby so wasn’t bothered and went to go and check out the telescope, oh well, I tried.

At work the following day, Kirby made me giggle. She randomly went up to Sato and scared him. Which I thought was very appropriate for him being a bit of a jerk yesterday. Have that, Sato.

After work, the girls go out for a fancy dinner to celebrate Kirby’s promotion. I feel a little bad for Chiara though, as the food was experimental and even though she’s a foodie, a lot of the dishes involved some sort of Sixam creatures and it made me feel a little awkward. I don’t think Chiara would be happy eating a fellow alien? Whilst they were ordering, Kirby got an invite to the romance festival by a guy I’ve never really thought much of this whole rotation. In fact, I can’t even remember his name. But why not, let’s go for it.

After dinner was finished, they head along to the romance festival. It’s evidently much colder in San Myshuno this evening. Kirby has a pretty good time with her date (who isn’t a date!) and conversation flows freely.

In fact, it’s going so well, she scores her first kiss! At this exact moment Kirby came down with food poisoning and had to run to the bathroom for fear of explosive diarrhoea. Face palm. So romantic.

You can see Nancy in the background there covering her mouth and she even threw up on the floor, so I had Kirby call the restaurant and managed to get a refund and compensation of double her bill. Need some money on the sims? Go somewhere you’ll get food poisoning from!

This left Kirby’s gentleman friend stood like a lemon, but I had to get this cute snap of Kirby’s work friend Wren and her husband.

And that’s where I’m leaving it for now! Kirby has got 2 promotions this rotation and is now a medical orderly. She has completely the first level of nerd brain but I’m waiting for her to have more money for her to get the wood working bench for the next step. She’s best friends with both the girls and now has this guy as a romantic interest (God how bad I can’t remember his name!!!)

Next time I’ll be with Nancy Cooper! If you liked the first rotation please leave a lil comment, I’m really enjoying playing these gi

The Waites Legacy – 2.6

Welcome back to another Waites legacy chapter.

If you haven’t been reading along, you probably haven’t missed much.. and there’s a link to the family tree right at the bottom of this post, so if you need to know who’s who then I suggest you check that out!

I also explain at the bottom that after this chapter I’ll be formatting my updates differently and splitting them by season and family so I can share the rotations that way with you all. I explain more at the bottom but I think doing it by season will be easier to follow and to share and also lead to shorter chapters. Win win, right?

Anyway….

Life has been ticking along relatively normally for the family. Yaretzi is so close to maxing the rocket science skill and I’m sending her on several explorations a day to try and increase it quickly. Favouring the indoors today, she takes to a book.

Meanwhile, Debora and Alexander are still a very cute (if not dim) couple.

Debora, being materialistic, cares a lot about the more subjective things in life. Such as her appearance. And she likes to share these interests with her boyfriend.

Layla carries on being Layla. She’s a real sweetheart. Her mix of good and jealous traits means that she comes across as a bit of a hopeless romantic and is desperate to be partnered up.

Awkwardly, as Layla had that whim, her parents are sucking face outside having both just come home with promotions. Everyone has someone but Layla it would seem.

Hadley: “I can’t believe it’s another party. Is that all this family does?!”

Yes, Hadley, yes it is… And your point is?? Seriously, Hadley is a queen but (as we all know) does not suffer fools gladly. Even if those fools happen to be her own family! So it’s time for Debora’s birthday party. Let’s see how that goes shall we!

Layla: “oh man. I don’t feel so good”

Layla please, you’re right in the shot of your sister’s birthday party!

Thankfully, everyone turned out to celebrate.

Debora is still absolutely stunning and she knows it. However, my sides almost split with laughter when she rolled…. Mean. Yes, the same as her sister Emery. And then cousin Hadley is hot-headed. I don’t believe this!

However, it suits Debora perfectly, materialistic and destined to marry in to the Goth family. I can see her being a complete diva.

And the party carried on well, everyone enjoyed getting together and socialising.

Like, seriously, how beautiful is she! I really love all the kids for their own little quirks, but my goodness Debora is dreamy.

Debora: “yeah, if anyone needs me I’ll be upstairs organising my wardrobe”

Hadley: “what the actual -! It’s filthy in here. Look at this damn plate on the floor!”

I don’t know why Hadley was so pissed off before she even came to the party, but she was not happy apparently.

Hearing Hadley’s complaints, I send the family to tidy up. Which Debora just looks thrilled about doesnt she?!

Debora: “well in all honesty I thought we’d have a maid by generation 3 of this legacy.”

Umm, shut up?

So she decides to get a job in a career that I can only imagine suitable for Debora Waites…. She will be a stylist!

I can see it now, can’t you? She and Alexander will be quite the power couple.

Scenic shot as I’d just got seasons at this point so was enjoying playing around with it. My daughter made us start in winter and it was nice to see how bleak and dreary the rest of the landscape is.

Finally!! I have big plans for this and fingers crossed it all goes well.

Anyway, it’s time for Travis and Yaretzi’s double birthday. I’m not doing a party, just because there’s been so many birthdays recently and I’m a bit partied-out.

Travis: “argh my back!”

Yaretzi: “now honey, I’m sure it’s not that bad!”

Yaretzi: “my spine!”

Layla: “yay mum and dad!”

Layla is now the only child in the house. Debora moved in with the Goths the day after her birthday. I took loads of photos of the occasion which I may collate in to a short story as it was frankly hilarious and very ‘Debora’ in nature (i.e. ‘extra’).

I also found it pretty funny how there is a fireplace channel with seasons! Layla seems to be enjoying it too.

I try and get some quality family time in now that it’s just Layla at home and will be for a little while. Until she partners up and has her own children. So Travis pulls up a chair to start a chat whilst Layla finishes her homework.

Yaretzi is still a badass bitch as she works on the final upgrade of the rocket… The wormhole generator.

Travis: “I’m siiiiiingiiing in the rain, just siiiingiiiiing in the rain….”

Travis carries on being love-ably quiet and out of the way. I’ll miss his peaceful nature when he eventually snuffs it.

Travis: “yay! Woohoo!” *Quivers*

Bless them. In fact, the elders are now less busy than they’ve ever been and their lives are quite leisurely. Including the woohoo on demand.

The next day is new years, so the family enjoy a nice breakfast together. I really like how each sim enjoys different parts of the holiday tradition based on their traits. Travis pretty much loved everything about New Years, whilst Yaretzi was less bothered.

So Yaretzi decides to finish installing the final parts of the wormhole generator, and she completes it in no time. Just as it starts to rain.

Anyway, I decide I can’t hold back any longer. It’s time for Sixam!

Sixam is beautiful although it was a bit bizarre and difficult to get truly immersed when the aliens are in their t shirts and jeans. Uggs anyone?

Yaretzi does a bit of collecting before she finds what I was looking for. A male.

This is Evan, and the pair hit it off well. Whilst they’re socialising, I take a little look around Sixam and snap a couple of pics…

Yaretzi quickly befriends Evan and then it’s time to head home for Layla’s birthday party. On new year’s no less!

I just love Yaretzi’s expression in this!

Yaretzi was able to squeeze Evan in on the journey back home so he could experience his first earthly party. Yaretzi became confident around aliens, and surprisingly so did Layla.

And suddenly, there’s alcohol. What is it with Layla and underage drinking?! Still, never mind. The pair’s relationship bar is going through the roof without me having to do much to keep their conversation on track.

Yaretzi: “woohoo! The plan worked!”

No, Yaretzi is not cheering at my matchmaking attempts with her daughter and an alien.. she’s just happy she completed part of a holiday tradition. Which involves the toilet in some way, if this photo is anything to go by?

Hamza comes knocking for Layla daily. Although today its a bit more awkward in that Layla is outside chatting up a blue alien man.

Oh I just love this family. And best friends Yaretzi and Bella are getting a great selfie together.

However, the family is so busy socialising that they pay no attention to Layla.

Debora: “can you hurry up Layla I want some cake!”

Layla rolled perfectionist as her final adult trait. Ok then, on to gen 3 we go!

We actually make a point of hiring our regular shit entertainer this time. I don’t know why, as she’s useless… But for some reason I can’t stand to think of the elderly going without an income?

Ugh, these two are certainly the beauties of gen 3. Layla definitely has a very sweet look about her too, but I just can’t wait to see Debora’s genetics passed down. Those cheekbones! For Hadley, I’m going to focus on her aspiration and career in more detail first.

So all in all, Layla had a pretty good birthday party which was also coupled with New Year’s. Besties and soon to be mothers-in-law, Yaretzi and Bella exchanged a hug at midnight to see in the new year. That’s it Yaretzi, spend New year’s with your BFF as opposed to your husband, I get it.

It was at this point that I really thought this chapter was done and we can move on to gen 3. But then I realised I hadn’t played through the spares’ families so the ages were slightly out! I decided to go and do that now and put their hilarious (*ahem*) lives underneath. So if you want to read it, it’s up to you. If not, that’s all the main family antics done and next chapter Layla will be taking over the family lineage. ANYWAY…

We start in San Myshuno with Helen and Phil’s side of the family. I send Emery in to the town centre partly to help her city native aspiration but also to help her career goal of completing mischievous interactions. Katrina here is her guinea pig.

Emery: “so I’m hosting a party this weekend and you should totally come! It will be great!”

Katrina: “oh my gawd Emery thanks! I can’t believe I finally get air time in this legacy when really no one really knows who I am in the Caliente family but everyone has their own headcanons!”

Umm, Katrina Hun.. we gave you plenty of air time already. Phil hit on you before he met Vincenzo and Emery taunted you when she was a child.

Emery: “psych! The party’s fake you nobody!”

As you can see, dowdy tourist Katrina was pissed at this and let Emery have a piece of her mind.

Emery returns the compliment and needless to say Katrina then said she had to go whilst silently raging to herself.

The good news is that Emery completed her mischief actions requirement before work.

Meanwhile, Emery carries on working on her aspiration and tries chatting up Korey whilst on a jog.

There’s obviously something alluring about a girl in a pink sports bra, so Korey goes in for a flirt.

Hadley looks unsure, but she was totally in to it.

Hadley: “yeah more than this jerk!”

Hey it’s Graham! One of Hadley’s previous love interests in her teen years. Look how angry her face is just by seeing him. I had to laugh.

Anyway, it’s time for Hadley’s first day of work and I can’t wait. I intend to have her conduct lots of ‘important’ research here.

And there’s certainly plenty of males to also add toward the aspiration.

This one is even whining about his sorry love life. Hadley will have no difficulty.

I’m just going to include a few photos of her day because I just adore her…

All in all, Hadley had a pretty successful first day. Look how proud she is of herself! #womeninscience

She did plenty of experiments and even a bit of flirting with Efrain there.

After work, she invites Efrain round to the house. I didn’t recognise him whilst he was at the lab but eagle eyed viewers may notice he’s the walkerby that Akira tried chatting up last chapter. HA! He’s pretty cute actually.

Ahem.. the pair quickly make it to Hadley’s bedroom where I get a popup to say Efrain is actually an alien. Well, that’s one way to find out!

Hadley then got out of bed at midnight to change her clothes and go and inspect a weird glowing outside. She therefore became my first abduction. It just had to be Hadley didn’t it?!

She returned to earth with a thump just as Efrain was leaving.

Efrain: “oh I see you’ve met my parents! Well, see you at work tomorrow baby!”

Hadley looks less impressed with the ordeal even though she became instantly confident at not only discovering that her lover is an alien, but also being beamed up to his home land. Hadley doesn’t do things by halves.

Vincenzo’s life bar is full and shimmering. I have a feeling it might be today, so I intend to have my favourite couple spend a lovely day together.

Oh man. *Sob*. The loving looks these two give each other.. I’m not looking forward to losing Vincenzo.

Helen also aged up to elder. See, told you my rotations were out so I’m now playing catch-up… As she’s meant to be 3 days older than Yaretzi. Once I’ve caught up all will be back to normal. She has a small gathering of family instead of a big party.. just in case Vincenzo dies and you know… Ruins it for everyone.

Hadley continues with her aspiration of which the latest step is to kiss 10 sims. Korey obliges by being number 3 of 10.

Vincenzo: “sorry to interrupt.. but hello!”

Oh dear… Vin and Phil had just finished woohooing when Vincenzo got out of bed.

Korey: “oh my god what is going on?! I was just woohooing Hadley and got a sudden urge to come and watch a death!”

Yes, for real.

Korey: *cries like a baby*

He and Vincenzo didn’t even know each other!! Hadley meanwhile is wondering when she can get back to the bedroom.

Vincenzo Todd – died 160 days old from old age.

Oh and poor Phil… Who was just stunned by it all.

Meanwhile I’m lol’ing at this. Vincenzo’s body is lying on the bedroom floor but don’t worry, Hadley can always try and seduce grim to spare him.

With old age, I always think there’s not much point pleading with the reaper as it’s going to happen at some point… So I leave them to it.

Hadley, however, does manage to do some flirting with grim whilst Phil takes himself back to bed.

Hadley also manages to almost freeze to death as she spent too long in her underwear. Typical Hadley.

The next morning was gloomy, even in terms of the weather as it was heavy rain and foggy. Helen sits down to try writing a book.

Uhh man. My heart is breaking for Phil.

Hadley heads off to work the next day and has to either test out a serum on herself or a colleague. Deciding that I don’t trust Hadley’s ability just yet, the receptionist is helpfully volunteered (by me). There were unfortunately no harmful consequences.

Once Hadley had finished her work tasks I switched back to the home lot to get Emery ready for work and saw the receptionist shooting hoops with Father Winter. Maybe she faked being sick from that serum to leave early?

Hadley: “ah crap.”

I don’t know what it is with Hadley but everything seems to be happening to her right now.

Phil: “Stop drop and roll Hadley!”

Thankfully Hadley is fine apart from some slight charcoal discolouration. I promise you all I laughed so hard. Hadley quite suits darker hair though don’t you think?!

Anyway, ignore Philip’s photo bombing… Helen has been very sad since Vincenzo’s death and wrote a book during that time… which turned out to be a bestseller!!

Yes, that’s right! We finally have a bestseller after all this time for Helen’s aspiration. Only 2 more to go. I hope we can do it before her time is up. At least I know it’s not a glitch and I just have to make her super sad before writing.

Apart from being a perfect husband, Vincenzo apparently gave one final gift to the family, Helen’s inspiration for a bestseller.

And it’s time for Philip’s birthday. Once again we have a quiet celebration.

Helen: “happy birthday Phil!” *Shoots confetti*

Hmm, Phil doesn’t look too happy at being so enthusiastically welcomed to elderhood.

Hadley continues working on her aspiration. This is another co-worker, Brett. This time he wasn’t an alien. Yes, Hadley ‘checked’. 4/10 first kisses.

Vincenzo also came out to haunt for the first time that night. In life he was a stinky slob so he decided to haunt both the downstairs toilet and shower, completely putting the bathroom out of action.

Anyway, we’ve now caught up with the rotation so now have to do a day with the Goths and then we’re back on track.

When I loaded up the lot it was love day. How appropriate seeing as Debora moved in last rotation and she and Alexander are besotted with each other.

Speaking of which, the pair immediately go to woohoo. This was entirely autonomous, which I’ve never had a couple do autonomously before! I was checking the toilet for ages afterwards to see if there was a pregnancy test option but thankfully there wasn’t. I want them to get married first and have a really lavish wedding.

So Debora sits down to start work for the day, writing reports for her stylist career. The first one was apparently terrible, the second was better.

Debora: “I don’t get it, did I use the word ‘hawt’ too many times?”

As Bella loves an occasion, she decided to throw a love day party and invited all the family round.

I had to coax them out of the tiny downstairs toilet with the food Cassandra was cooking.

The party was going really well, and it was also love day… So I thought what better time than for Alex to confess his love to Debora.

Debora: “oh my gawd Alex, are those diamonds real?! They are?! Oh of course they are!”

The couple were thrilled. Even though Debora comes across quite cold, she also has the big happy family aspiration so at some point will want a large family.

The party carried on really well, until out of nowhere Layla decided to flirt with Alex. You can see how pissed Debora was about that.

Alex: “oh honey! It was nothing! I promise!”

Seriously, don’t mess with Debora Waites.

Debora gave Layla a true piece of her mind and became happy from arguing with her because she’s mean. So all in all, love day was kind of a success??

That’s all the Waites family chaos we have to print right now! I’m going to format the chapters differently from now on and do a chapter per family rotation. Mainly because I know my chapters are annoyingly long, but also so if people only want to read the main family then that will be easier now. I’ll be separating the chapters by season and family.

It looks to be pretty fun so far! Please leave comments etc 🙂 and don’t forget to check out the family tree at: https://www.theplumtreeapp.com/public/5d39b817162cc70006fb3262

The Waites Legacy – 2.5

Trash eating racoon says “hey it’s another Waites update!”

I’ve been slow on this one for a few reasons. Most of this chapter was played ages ago but then I started my new job and took a little break from TS4. I was still enjoying playing it, but had kind of got a little bored with it. However, not any more! Lets see what’s going on shall we?!

Emery is currently laying in to Layla about something. I think she’s had a bad day at school.

The bad mood continues as she then argues with Debora.

Umm maybe Emery, if you spent more time concentrating on your homework and less time arguing you’d be finished by now? Just saying.

Never mind, it’s selfie time!

Debora: “I am just so hot today!”

Debora’s personality lends itself to being a bit of a diva. I’m sure she’ll rack up the followers on Simsta.

Meanwhile, with his aspiration finished, Travis makes us some side funds from hacking various trust funds and estates. See, he’s useful and never bothers anyone.

Ok then Layla, you glitch yourself through the ceiling. Goodnight!

I also really like this painting.

Travis: “Thank you, I call it The Creator getting out of the shower

heh heh…. thanks… you’re a class act.

Meanwhile, Yaretzi has got another promotion in the astronaut career to…. ermmm.. I don’t know… I don’t really take notes of promotions. But I think she’s now level 4 or 5 and steadily moving up.

I’ve been meaning to do a house renovation for the longest time but was unsure how much money the family would need? Well, I bit the bullet and just did it. I bulldozed the LOT. So here is our before shot… before you look at what I created, please remember I am not much of a sims builder!

ta-da! Here we have it. I may do a tour a bit later on for those of you who are interested in those sorts of things. I know I am when I read sims stories. I love photos of makeovers or buildings and floorplans to get ideas. However the difference between those stories and mine is that those simmers can actually build whereas I just click and drag and hope for the best!

Can you tell where I got my inspiration from?! Well, over the summer, my daughter who has just turned four, became obsessed with Scooby Doo. Both the original and Warner Bros versions. Anyway, I really really liked the look of Fred Jones’ house, the colours and the mixed levels caught my eye. I thought I’d try to re-create it here. Google the house if you want, you will see the two look nothing alike. But hey, I tried.

With all the space in the new house, Layla decides to do her homework on her bathroom floor.

Emery: *grumble* “Still pissed off about something”

Okay Emery, stomping around the place is just your constant state of being.

Launching in with a floorplan. I decided to do a basement on this house, purely because even though the house is over three floors, there still wasn’t enough bedrooms. I always make one as a main room for the current heir/ess, one bedroom for the grandparents and then we need children’s rooms. Well, my construction expertise meant I only added one bathroom and that would never do. I put a bedroom and bathroom down in the depths of the basement to give Emery a little lair. As you know, contact with other sims doesn’t seem to be good for her.

Ground floor we have a long hallway which will showcase the family’s treasures, a kitchen and dining room in top right, living room underneath, top left is a play room which will also be a baby room for future generations and bottom left is the ‘inspiration room’. Basically, a study but with things that give off inspired aura and the room will be for creative skill building. Do you like that I’ve even tried to landscape?!

Floor one, hallway at the top with a grandparents room and main bedroom (slightly hexagon shaped!) coming off. Then a small but suitably sized child’s bedroom. Can easily fit two beds or would be a spacious single room. As you can probably see, all bedrooms have bathrooms as I hate getting several sims organised in the mornings.

Second floor we have the gym (which has the rewards from Lexie’s career to give an energised aura) and the ‘focus room’ which has things from Travis’ career and space objects to give a focussed aura.

And there we have the house. I may make the nursery smaller at some point to give a downstairs bathroom, even if it is just a toilet and sink.

Back to business, it turns out Debora has plans of her own. Either that or I have plans for her, but where could she be? *shifty eyes*

Debora: “So like hi! I know I invited myself over but I’m totally a legacy spare. It sure is a lovely home you have here…”

In no time at all, Debora and Alexander were socialising well.

No, I didn’t actually play the Goths to age him up. I don’t have the time for that. You see, Debora is materialistic but also has the big happy family aspiration. Meaning, she is going to want to have a few children and have a fair bit of money. So I aged up Alexander to teen, Cassandra to YA and Bella to adult in CAS and will then just add them to my rotation. Simple! The plan will work a dream and Debora will have her happily ever after. I still rolled Alexander’s traits and aspiration though. And he got lazy and City Native, why?!

It’s birthday time, so gen 3 heiress Layla, has a quick hug with her mum, gen 2 heiress, Yaretzi.

And what a great party it was. Debora invites Alexander over, even though the two aren’t officially dating. But I have declared that they shall wed so he better get used to the family early on (they’re a tough pill to swallow).

From this point onwards everyone got sick. My sims get sick SO often. Like once a day per sim. I’m pretty sure that it must be a glitch?! As they only got ill so rarely in TS2?

Hadley: “Umm yeah that’s great Aunt Yaretzi. Your zombie impression is really something.”

Oh look, you can finally see our fish. I named him Albert.

The party is in full swing. It’s finally time to see how our heiress grows up!

You really didn’t want to see the picture that came next. So we’ll jump right ahead to the CAS screen! This is Layla post-makeover! She has all of Yaretzi’s facial features. In fact, the only girl of this generation who looks different is Debora.

Layla rolled jealous as her trait (oh God) and painter extraordinaire.

Travis keeps himself out of the way as he always does at parties by cleaning up after everyone else. Good boy.

Meanwhile, Debora gets rejected by Alexander. Does he not know who she is?! In the back, Layla is sad at her own birthday party as everyone else is coupled up and she isn’t. Damn that jealous trait!

Ok Layla, I get that you’re miserable but you don’t have to burn my new build down!

Just kidding! This was the next morning. But what a great start.

Over at Helen’s household.

Akira: “I just can’t work out how to make the French toast?!”

Go ahead Akira, give me more ways to hate you.

Hadley: “Hello there unassuming aspiration fodder! Please do come round for more loving!”

Hadley continues trying to woo sim boys to study their psychology.

First thing’s first. Attempt to seduce.

Adam: “Uhhhm” *voice breaks* “What is she doing with her butt?”

Akira can never miss out on a sleaze-fest and goes and flirts with this random walk-by. Who accepts!!! Damn you Akira, he doesn’t even know you!

Helen makes it through the days by drinking tea as black as her soul and continuing to write books. I cannot, for the life of me, get her to write a single bestseller. And she needs to write three to complete her aspiration. I have her write and finish the book whilst inspired. We have the most expensive computer. Writing skill is maxed. I even made her try writing children’s books as I saw online that they are easier to create at a higher quality… but nothing. I’m down to my last three hairs here, reader.

Hadley: “gah, curse the social interactions of adolescent boys”

She gets her own back on whatever Adam did, by telling him that there was a spaceship behind him and then cheating like the clever little sociopath she is!

Akira however is still trying to charm the pants off of this guy, however now he has wisened up. Please excuse Akira, he doesn’t think using his brain.

Hadley invites over her next victim, Graham. (I think?)

Graham: “Yawn, the decor here is so boring”

Yes, Graham, looking like that you’re a fine one to talk.

Things seem to be going along great and Hadley continues her charm. I’m pretty sure she did kiss Graham, as for the serial romantic aspiration she needs 3 first kisses, and she’s done 2… so that’s Adam and this guy?

Meanwhile, Helen and Akira are just divorcing. Nothing to see here. They both had whims to do romantic interactions together, so they tried to kiss and embrace etc on freewill. Sadly *ahem*, their relationship bar is actually in the red so they then decided to fight on freewill too.

Hadley: “Hey guys! What’s going on down here?!”

Umm, now might not be the time or place Hadley. I was really surprised that Akira didn’t immediately move out such as is the way in TS2. So he goes on to stay in the house for a couple of days before I decide what I’d like to do to him. Hey, I hate him, but I’ve got to have him fit in with my long term simming plans!

I’m trying to get Hadley to go on a successful date with each one of her science experiments. Where better to go then to the local park?! Graham here doesn’t seem to be in to it today though…

Hadley: “How dare you reject my advances creepy teenage boy! I should tell you you are nothing but cheap aspiration points! You shall regret the day you rejected Hadley Waites!”

Hadley tells this dork straight, just like I thought she would. That’s my girl! Needless to say their romance was fleeting and by this point, essentially over.

Helen is taking her divorce particularly hard. Akira doesn’t seem to care in the slightest, he’s sad, but I don’t think I’ve seen him cry once. Helen on the other hand is constantly moping around and bursting in to tears. Her gloomy trait is likely making this worse. Here she is trying to cook but unable to even get the ingredients out. I feel like a jerk. But it had to be done as Akira was vile, there I said it.

Just a quick picture as I can’t help but notice how the women of the family all have very similar body shapes which I assume they must have got from Lexie. It would be interesting to see how the children of Debora and Alexander look, as Alex has very narrow hips and broad shoulders. I do love sims genetics.

On to the next rotation and it’s Vincenzo’s birthday. All the family friends are here! As always, would it be a party without Travis and Yaretzi showing affection? Of course not.

Philip is a sweetheart and tries to cheer up Helen. At this stage, no one is taking the slightest bit of notice of Vincenzo.

Vincenzo: “Hello? I’m an elder now! It’s my birthday, is anyone going to even watch?! Hello! My hip is stuck like this!”

Typical Hadley could not care less what people think of her and whips out a parfait to eat. Just like she did back at Emery’s birthday. Ah, she makes me laugh so much.

The pair do a bit of karaoke whilst Helen continues to be upset.

Helen: *sigh* “Cake, you are the only one who truly understands me right now.”

After a good sing-song, Vincenzo celebrates his birthday by farting, which fills him with glee. He is a slob after all.

I love the absolute look of disgust from the other guy.

Back home, I give Vincenzo a little makeover that suits his older features. I notice he’s getting a little round around the middle (as Philip prepares more food in the background!)

Vincenzo continues to have a great birthday, as he shortly finishes the Painter Extraordinaire aspiration with his fifth masterpiece. Again, he celebrates by farting, which he seems to thoroughly enjoy.

If there’s anything better than a fart joke in the sims, I have yet to find it!

Despite his stinky ways, Philip still absolutely adores Vincenzo and vice versa. They remain my sweetest couple and will always flirt, kiss or compliment each other on freewill. I can sit back and watch the sparks fly on a regular basis.

The boys invited round some friends one afternoon, here we have Layla and a townie I saw walking through San Myshuno one afternoon that I made Vincenzo run out to befriend. Hamza has interesting features I think, and if the top secret plans I have for Layla completely backfire, Hamza may be the runner up for her spouse. Please ignore Layla drinking, I have assumed that Vincenzo and Philip are her two cool uncles who don’t care that she is absolutely under age.

Philip and Vincenzo’s rotation seemed pretty short this time, as we’re back at the main lot. With Travis literally getting in the middle of his two eldest daughters.

Travis: “Girls, can you keep it down and remove your arm from my spleen? I’ve got a movie on!”

I feel I have to point out how slow Debora is at her homework. Both of the other girls have finished and long gone, but Debora is still plodding on! I’ll let you all make your own jokes about that.

Debora just cares about other things instead. Her materialistic trait means she has gone to cheer about the toilet in the new downstairs bathroom I added. Yay porcelain?!

Nor is Debora very domestic as Travis and Emery complain about their breakfasts in unison.

Debora: “Umm, like what did I do wrong?”

Emery’s temper gets me every time! I can’t not be cheered up by her complaining!

Meanwhile, Bella autonomously helps Layla with her homework. Umm, Bella honey? I don’t think it’s Layla who needs your support…

She and Yaretzi remain best friends. Gosh look at them both, can you imagine the wedding we will soon have?!

Speaking of which, Debora and Alexander are now officially a couple. Which Alex seems really stunned about. Don’t think too hard about it Alex, questioning causes grey hairs!

Debora: “eek! We had better not!”

Yaretzi is also coming along great with the space ship. It takes her next to no time to do the upgrades and she gains Rocket Science skill really quickly. I’m not sure whether her high handiness has anything to do with that?

Yaretzi: “I also just maxed my cooking skill by making Emery’s birthday cake!”

Umm, yeah, but this is the second one you made Yaretzi, as you decided to EAT the first one! True story, I had to laugh!

Debora seems to have taken my ‘slow’ comment to heart, and decides to do her extra credit autonomously.

Debora: “I am not slow! What was I reading about? Oh damn!”

Emery: “Gah! I can’t believe it’s my birthday idiot sister and I am angry!”

Emery, you are always angry. Go and blow out your candles and try not to argue with anyone.

The whole family has turned up for the occasion. Including Alexander and ‘mum-in-law’ Bella. Yes, Alex, this family exhausts me too.

Eagle eyed readers (ha, he’s literally right there) will spot Hamza.

Hadley has also completely had enough of this oddball family, and has taken herself inside the venue to get the party started.

Even this lady, who we normally invite as our entertainer, showed up. She wasn’t a guest and we didn’t hire her, she was just here! So she obviously can’t stay away.

Entertainer lady: “so, Yaretzi, can I call you that, Mrs Waites? Having air time in a legacy is just the biggest honour, considering I’m rubbish at playing the guitar and all. It would be less embarrassing if that wasn’t my day-job.”

Ah townies, they only want one thing!

Random lady continues her air time by completely bombing this birthday shot. Still, it’s not as if any of the family are paying any attention. For some reason they’re all staring at Yaretzi.

Yaretzi: “Well, duh! I am fabulous”

Ah, that’s better!

Emery rolled ‘foodie’ as her final trait making her a well-rounded but nasty piece of work. I have plans for her anyway.

Debora and Alex are strong runners up for being my cutest couple. They are always flirting on free will and decided to sit together until Bella came over to cramp their style.

Not to be outdone, Yaretzi and Travis show do their usual party trick of autonomously showing affection. Considering Travis hates a party he sure can come alive at random times..

Emery spent the remainder of her time before moving out this rotation rather un-ceremoniously mopping the bathroom floor. We’ll see Emery again next update, as it’s now time to go to Helen and Hadley and Travis and Vincenzo, who I have moved in together in to…..

My updated version of the old salt house! I love this lot. It’s central to the spice market and is a really good size. I managed to build this comfortable home which fits all of their needs. If you don’t care for tours then just skip this little bit.

The downstairs with living area, red bathroom and what will be Emery’s bedroom when this rotation is complete.

Upstairs with spacious hall, balcony, bathroom, Phil and Vin’s bedroom, creative ‘nook’, Hadley’s red bedroom and Helen’s bedroom.

And it looks like they’re settling in just fine! Even if Helen is staring at Vincenzo like he’s a loon.

I mainly moved them all in together as now, without Akira, it felt odd to have Helen and Hadley living together alone when Hadley will soon be aging up. And now Vincenzo is an elder I’m watching his life bar very closely and I don’t want my precious Philip to be alone. I can’t even stand pixel sadness I guess.

As for Akira you ask? He moved in to a grimy apartment in the Culpepper block. I plan on leaving aging on for him every time I play this rotation so he will grow old and therefore kick the bucket as opposed to remaining immortal as 1. I can’t stand timelines that are out of sync and 2. He’s a jerk so he doesn’t deserve eternal life.

Hadley heads to the creative nook right away to go and troll unsuspecting people on the internet. Just look at that view!

Hadley: “Trolling is so behind me. I’m looking at profiles of fellow teenage boys for my experiments.”

Still, having an uncle who is a level 10 bartender also has its advantages. It’s mid-morning and Hadley decides to help herself.

Hadley: “Oh hey! You’re actually kind of cute teenage boy! Good for you!”

Hadley should also launch a side experiment about how to flirt as she can be pretty awful at it.

Still, this guy who’s name I forget obviously doesn’t seem to care and he comes back to the house. Anyway, it’s not as if I need to remember who he is, Hadley is only concerned about her aspiration meter.

Random teen: “hmm, the lighting in this room really shows off my cheek bones” *selfie*

Hadley doesn’t care that this guy is absolutely insufferable. Tier 1 of her aspiration complete.

Meanwhile, Helen still hasn’t written a masterpiece. I had one more thought. Maybe if I make her sad she will produce better work (due to her gloomy trait). So I had resident artist Vincenzo paint this.

Vincenzo and Phil are still just the cutest ever.

Unfortunately though, the painting idea didn’t work and Helen can still only write excellent books.

Vincenzo does nothing but brew and drink tea all day. I think he is lacking direction.

Vincenzo: “hey! The tea helps with digestion!”

Hmm. Note to self, get him a hobby.

Anyway, it’s time for Hadley’s birthday and she launches straight in to blow the candles out. You’ll note that Akira is here, as even though I hate him, he is still Hadley’s dad.

Hadley rolled art lover as her final trait and immediately went to brag to Layla about how hot she is. Sigh, this family.

Helen: “umm, Layla, honey… You’re kind of in the way?”

I really don’t know why she decided to drop and make herself comfy there.

I had Hadley join the scientist career track as I can’t imagine her doing anything else. Her plans to study the male psychology through extensive flirtation and woohoo lends itself perfectly to science.

And who doesn’t think researchers are hot?!

That’s all the Waites legacy we have time for today. This chapter is fit to burst! Join us next time for some great fun (I’ve seen it, trust me).

I’ll leave you with this image of Raj Rasoya heart farting the golden statue lady.. because that’s Raj Rasoya all over, am I right?

Please comment if you enjoyed! Until next time! (Which should be much quicker to publish than the massive delay between this chapter and the last!!)

The Waites Legacy – 2.4

The Waites legacy welcomes you back! I don’t actually remember what happened last time as life and things got in the way.. you know how that happens. Anyway, I know as much as there was some birthdays, some ghosts and a bit of extra-marital flirting. So we’re all caught up now then, huh?

It’s now Yaretzi’s first day at work in the astronaut career as a technician. I was expecting the uniform to be a little bit more *flash* or exciting. But she looks like she’s taking the kids on a day trip. Anyway, she’s in a good mood so fingers crossed for success!

And here we have the first meeting of good versus mean. I’m waiting for free will to make sparks fly, but so far the wait has been long. Layla and Emery actually have a pretty positive relationship from their toddler years.

Tough day at the office, kid?

“you messed up a chance card giving me a medium performance loss, ON MY FIRST DAY!”

Oh yeah right. What can I say? I’m really awful at them. I thought they would have admired Yaretzi’s initiative at installing whatever it was without authorisation. Evidently not.

And we have the first haunting of Lucas! Although I’m not sure why he’s angry?

“you want me to tell you why I’m angry? Well, don’t believe the hype about the afterlife! There’s no bars. There’s no hula ladies, no parties. It’s like I’m in hell!”

Lucas! In life you were a devoted family sim!

“oh yeah?! Well not anymore!”

*crash!* *bang!* *thud!* *whap!*

Death obviously does funny things to a sim as Lucas was a jerk that night.

Emery: “doing homework I see?!”

Layla: “yeah but so are you?”

Wow, the conflict in this place is edge-of-your-seat stuff!

Lexie is also out haunting. Doing in death, what she did in life; tending the plants. She is also pissed off about something but who knows what? Grimmy obviously isn’t running a very reputable afterlife. Sigh, eternity really has gone downhill in recent years.

But where is Travis running off to in his pyjamas?

Oh! He’s just skipping breakfast and heading straight for the cocktail someone left out. Travis its 5.30 in the morning.

“my house is a state and I have three girls to outnumber me.”

Ah, drink away then!

“umm like hello! I freakin’ stink here! And the sink stinks!”

Yes, without Lexie the house has almost gone in to a state of disrepair. Everything is filthy (evidently including the family itself!) And it made me realise how much cleaning Lexie did, without ever even needing to be asked, she would just wash dishes and empty bins and clean bathrooms.

After breakfast, the girls settled in to a very suitable *ahem* activity for a Saturday.

Emery: “right, does everyone remember the rules for Texas Hold ‘Em poker? We’ll start from the dealer’s left!”

Layla: “I’ll raise!”

Umm, sure kid. I’m not sure how successful you’re going to be playing poker with what essentially look like sim tarot cards!

Emery: “what about you, Debora?”

Debora: “I’ll fold.”

Debora: “this game is stupid anyways!”

Emery: “errmmm whatever. What are you gonna do?”

Yaretzi: “kids? Can you knock it off being weird for like, 5 minutes? I’m trying to eat a BLT here!”

In pursuit of more wholesome activities for 3 children, we took a trip to the park. Where the chess tables are so riveting, even the barista can’t resist shirking her own work duties in order to play a quick game!

And what’s the first thing Layla and Debora do on the lot? Get water of course, from the questionably clean bathroom facilities!

Errrr, hydrated playtime is happy playtime I guess?

Debora and Layla have become close little friends. They’re always hugging or exchanging pleasantries.

And here is Akira with a helpful message reminding us to spay and neuter our pets!

Yaretzi is his sister in law, no I don’t think she’d want to go to the romance festival with her sister’s husband!

Besides, it’s not as if Yaretzi doesn’t get enough loving at home!

I’m a lazy player ok? And with woohoo increasing both fun and social it makes things easier!

But I don’t know why they insist on woohooing in Lucas’ and Lexie’s bed?!!!

It’s the next day of the weekend and the girls are spending time socialising. Miko has come round just to use our pool (typical scrounger!) And it’s actually LAYLA who doesn’t take kindly to this!

Meanwhile, Emery is socialising with her own loon outside. She’s still unsuccessful at getting any friends.

Layla invites a friend round she met at the park. However sim children are obviously very emotional, either that or their coding is so strong, that they can’t help themselves but to cry at smashed dollhouses that aren’t even theirs! Honestly, this is still from when Lucas broke it, I just haven’t remembered to have Yaretzi fix it yet.

Layla: “wheeee! Look at me Debora I’m a monkey swinging tree to tree!”

Emery: idiots, the both of them

Hadley: “why the hell am I here? And who thought yellow was my colour?! Eesh!”

Yes, it’s time for a birthday party. Emery is aging up to teen! Would it be any sort of social occasion at all without a pissed off Hadley? No, dear reader, it wouldn’t.

Layla: “Hey! Hadley! It’s good to see you! Like, hello!”

Hadley: “Ugh! Mother! That is it! I’ve had enough. And you expect me to socialise at this thing?!”

I suddenly questioned where Travis was as I couldnt see him. Well, he’s never been much of a party animal so he went to do a painting. Priorities.

Back outside, Hadley is trying to make up for her foul mood earlier.

Hadley: “oh so hey! It’s you! My cousin! So good to see you!” *Finger points*

Helen: “listen you little twerps, I don’t want to hear any crap ok? This is going to be a fun party!”

Oh Helen, her hatred of children cracks me up. Without her we never would have had Hadley, the delightful little demon child.

Vincenzo decides to go and chew Travis’ ear off about painting and fine art whilst Philip accompanies like a spare part.

Philip: “bar? Bar? Bar bar bar?”

Ah, right, he’s on the liquor lookout.

Hadley decided she had had quite enough of waiting around so pulls out a pocket dinner and she doesn’t. Do. Sharing.

The way the two younger girls haven’t left Hadley’s side made me laugh. Like she is the respected, admired, older cousin. Although probably respected through fear as she can be a hilariously nasty piece of work!

As you can see, this party is so riveting it is likely my best one yet. Ok, can the sarcasm.

Hadley: “ah! Dweeby birthday cousin hello! We’re waiting for you to blow out your candles so could you move it along or something?!”

And ‘move it along’ Emery did. Good Lord my eyes. Emery grew up well, but that dress and haircut do nothing for her!

Aaaah, much better!

Emery Waites. Rolled clumsy as her trait (fab) and city native as her aspiration.

After birthday cake, the celebration went on as normal for the Waites family. Hadley teased every adult she met.

Whilst the adults had a bit of fun of their own.

And suddenly everyone started making out. I think that’s when I decided to call it a day. We had earned silver, so not too shabby!

That night, Layla was woken by the monster under her bed and Emery came along to help. Even if she did glitch the spray right through Emery’s face.

Emery: “come here, Layla. This sickening kindness should wash right off!”

The next day Hadley brings sweet Layla home from school and evidently traumatises her over something.

Akira somehow manages to get a promotion but is raging that his day at work was time away from Helen. Nothing new there either, did I tell you all how much I dislike him?

Meanwhile, Helen continues to work on her aspiration.shes now done 5/5 excellent books the last of which was ‘Go Verbits II’ and she is now working on ‘gimme more verbits!’

Surprisingly, Helen looks remarkably like me when I do my simming and writing. Late in to the night, frustrated and exhausted glee in my eyes. Words no longer making sense…

Layla: “oh Hadley, thank you so much for inviting me over! You’re like, super duper!”

Layla is just too sweet to everyone. Hadley on the other hand, is an ever-modest character…

Hadley: “thanks Layla, I sure do know it too!”

After Sandy, Akira’s next conquest was Cleo the mail carrier.

Akira: “wow Cleo, that looks great!”

Here she is, evidently showing Akira her umm… Uniform?

This photo is to demonstrate nothing more but how much of an idiot I am! I knew there was a lamp to get rid of the monster under the bed.. but I always ended up buying the wrong one and then wondering why the tip never worked. So I hunted the buy catalogue and saw that the lamp is actually this one! Thank goodness, because those monsters annoy me the most out of the whole game.

Yaretzi invites herself over and immediately asks Akira a risque question. Seriously?! What on earth is going on in this cesspit?? Her speech bubble here was about love heart print boxers. Umm, as if she imagines Akira in his smalls?!

Thankfully, Akira shoots her down (for once).

Yaretzi however, is so embarrassed she has to go and give herself a talking-to in the bathroom.

Cleo then invites Akira on a date and we accept. Partly because Akira was so tired I hoped he might pass out.

Vincenzo just so happened to be at the lounge.

“what the hell is going on here?”

I wish I knew Vin, I wish I knew…

It’s time for another birthday party, for our favourite Hadley Waites! So where is a suitable place for a child’s birthday party? A lounge of course! Well, this is Hadley we’re talking about.

“braaaaaains, braaaaaaaaains”

AAAAIIIEEEE! a brain eating zombie creature!

Oh wait, it’s just Travis (who we all know hates parties).

Helen decides she can’t stand to stay indoors because there’s too many children. So she spends her whole daughter’s birthday party angry and stomping around outside.

Layla decides to play with her doll and the entertainer never even comes inside. We always end up getting this lady, and she never gets any better. I think I may save the money next time and not hire one, either that or take her number so we can book direct and save some money (ha ha ha).

Akira: “aww my little pumpkin has blown out her candles, time to go outside and watch Layla play with her doll!”

Gah! Sims and their free will. Let’s see what the damage is shall we…

Oh sweet, shiny plumbob.

Travis, meanwhile, is up in the bathroom talking to himself.

“come on, pull it together! Everyone knows you don’t like parties but if you just go downstairs!”

Hadley turned out pretty cool after I got rid of those weird pink eyebrows. I tried to give her a makeover to fit her rolled trait and aspiration. Ironically, she rolled what I was joking with myself that I would love her to have. Her second trait is geek and the aspiration she got is…. serial romantic. HA! A hotheaded serial romantic. Oh man, Hadley. You just give me more ways to love playing you?! I’ve had a loose plan for her ever since I saw her and the trait she rolled as a child. I have not been disappointed.

Back at the party, Akira tries to hit on Philip from across the bar. For some reason. What is up with my sims?! Especially Akira. He is a dog that won’t quit! Fortunately, Philip turns him down.

“Hmm, I don’t feel too good. Can’t quite put my finger on what’s wrong…”

Maybe someone’s sleazy husband senses are tingling.

Ah, teenagers. I have a feeling these two will get along great. A mean but clumsy spare with her friend the hot-headed, geeky romancer. Well, if this legacy got in to the hands of a corporation it would be made in to a sitcom immediately I’m sure!! *koff koff*

Bella: “Ummm, like… excuse me? I totally heard that some hawt girl was totally copying my sexy red dress. Does she like, want to get on the wrong side of me? Cause I can totally make people disappear.”

Geez, Bella. We know. Shut up.

Dina: “Bella, chill. Chill! Tell the nice people that you’re here for your trial shift with Hussy Entertainment House! Now you sit tight and watch us, then copy!”

For clarification on the Hussy Entertainment House, consult last chapter. (For all you party needs! Must be 18+, no refunds given, time alone with employees not permitted, large bills only).

And here is Hadley in her everyday wear back home. I’ve tried to go for that ‘provocative but could also cut you’ look, in both physical and mental expertise. You see, Hadley has decided that she wishes to be a scientist examining the sim psychology by… seducing as many of the idiots as possible. Ah, a research project!

And where better to recite love poetry than in your bathroom which needs cleaning? Helen is absolutely smitten for Akira, and it still makes my skin crawl.

Over with Philip and Vincenzo, the boys are still working away on their aspirations. This is a painting I’ve never seen before, and I don’t think I like it!

“Boo! You sucked! Call yourself a living statue!”

Sigh, Vincenzo isn’t even mean. Poor statue. You can see the quiver in her lip and she’s only a teen. I mean you must have a bit of a sob story to paint yourself gold and stand on the streets during the night. I did however make Vincenzo give her a tip, in order to unlock a little something…

Meanwhile, Philip has come home pretty drained from his mixologist career. However he did get us a promotion tonight so he’s now on level 7.

*radio crackling*

Vincenzo: “mission control, we have a situation here… A sexy situation”

Philip: “oh Vincenzo what is this?! You look great in gold!

Philip immediately ‘complimented appearance’ on free will. I just sat back.

Vincenzo: “what about we take this to the bedroom and…. Launch the rocket?!”

Philip: “I thought you’d never ask!”

After the boys’ imaginary adventure. Philip decided to have a soak in the tub with a cocktail. Well, gold body paint has to wash off somehow.

It must be an afternoon for ‘getting it on’ in the Jasmine Suites apartments. However, Jesminder is in there without Arun. Poor, sweet, Arun. I’ll leave you to draw your own conclusions.

I decide to let the boys throw a dinner party for the other adults in the generation. I’ve never done a dinner party before so thought they could have a sophisticated evening of conversation, games and relaxation. However this is the Waites we’re talking about.

Helen decides she’d rather talk to herself in the bathroom mirror. So whatever.

Whereas at every single party, Yaretzi and Travis always go for a public display of affection, whether big or small.

This almost looks like wholesome family life. Look, there’s even a hug in the background there! Note I have also slightly decorated the boys’ apartment to something a bit more classy and sophisticated.

Akira: “You hussy!” *Whap* *whap*

Everyone is like what the hell. Vincenzo continues to stuff his face whilst watching the show. Helen and Akira honestly are a pretty wild couple. Why I ever thought these two were suited to each other, I don’t know. But if you recall the story, I did marry them out of haste. I wasn’t even looking at what had happened here. I was watching something else and then saw everyone react to what was going on.

It looks like they quickly made things up. Have I ever said how much I hate Akira?!

The rest of the party Philip and Vincenzo were in playful moods. So instead of civilised conversation, they were sharing fake bad news and joking about being criminal masterminds.

“like, buh-bye! Hope you all had a good time! Can’t wait to catch up again later! Bye bye now! It’s been a blast!”

A ‘blast’ is one thing to call it, Philip.

After the guests had gone, Vincenzo painted this. I call it “fruit dinner party”. There’s even the correct number of characters!

The rest of the rotation was far more wholesome. Vincenzo has got in to baking so Arun invited himself round and the boys settled down for sugar cookies. All we needed now was the Earl Gray!

Back at the main lot, things are adequately dysfunctional.

Hadley: “like blaaaah little heiress twerp! Hee hee hee!”

And, quite suddenly, Yaretzi also finished her aspiration by completing a collection of elements. That wolfium took a long time to finally get, but we got there in the end!

So she now sets her sights on finishing her spaceship. We decide that’s quite enough excitement for one day.

“gah! These cookies are vile!”

Turns out Emery had made a batch of sugar cookies but had messed it up so royally they turned out disgusting. Emery being mean, I can’t tell whether she meant to do it and is kind of chaotic evil?

We also send Yaretzi up in to space but that doesn’t end too well. I didn’t expect perfection as her rocket science skill is still pretty low, but it is also poor decision making from me with the chance cards. Like how was I supposed to know that her racing another space ship would end in danger?!

“AIEEE! My mum is taking a shower, and she’s completely covered with pixels! But I need to mop a puddle and now this?!”

Poor sweet, boring Debora. She always mops the puddles when left on free will. This time it was puddles with a surprise.

But it doesn’t matter anyway as it was time for Debora’s birthday. So in Waites tradition, the family got together for their usual party. Philip decided to come in his dirty sweats. For our party this time, we’re at the bar in Oasis Springs. Man, there aren’t any places round here for a wholesome kids party are there?!

Holy canoli! The coding in this game is surely wild. Imagine if I was playing an apocalypse… Id have to look at Debora like that!

After a little freshen up, Debora is absolutely gorgeous. The best looking Waites child of this generation for sure (so far). She did, however, roll entirely what I didn’t want her to get. I had other plans for Debora and now it has sent my gameplay in another direction. Which is interesting but anyway…

Debora rolled materialistic for her second trait and big happy family as her aspiration. That’s right, she’s going to want 6 grandkids and a heck-ton of stuff. Give me strength.

Travis comes out of the bathroom long enough to give his middle child a congratulatory hug. He really does not like parties in my game?!

Cute photo of the two eldest. I love the black and blond theme here. And Debora totally looks like she should be saying “welcome to the fun house!” Or something equally as exciting yet cryptic.

The rest of the party was a total dud. Usually my parties are a blast. I normally just leave the group on free will and watch the sparks fly. But this time everyone just sat around the bar not even talking to each other. Talk about dry.

Travis later became engrossed in a new telenovela, and Phil was stoked about something. Whatever, that’s about as fun as the party got. I cut it short and sent the group home after this nose-dive.

This has to be the most un-ceremonious photo ever to show that Travis completed his computer whiz aspiration. Still, that’s both him and Yaretzi now! Hooray!

Over to Helen’s rotation, where Akira continues to think that hitting on his sister in law is ok.

And oh my god, for once Yaretzi reciprocates. Damn free will!

Helen is seething in the background. As am I, in the foreground.

Helen: “you damned heiress beast! Temptress sister flirting with my husband!”

Yaretzi: “uhh give it a break! Akira I wouldn’t go for you if the nuclear powerplant caused an apocalypse during the Superbowl half time show and I was the only unzombified sim in Oasis Springs!”

Heh, heh… Be careful what you say there Yaretzi. Stranger things have been known to happen round here. *Shuffles nervously*

“Why doesn’t she want me? What’s the matter with me? I’m irresistible!”

In order to try and cheer her mum up about her dad hitting on her aunt (gosh how is that for a sentence), Hadley takes Helen out for a night at the karaoke bar. It’s happy hour, and the girls are settling in for their first song of the night.

Helen then decides she’d rather stay pissed off so goes and heckles this poor guy. I send them home. Helen’s anger is a mood that won’t quit!

I’m considering making the couple break up. They’ve argued their way down to absolutely neutral romance so really are now only married to each other for the sake of being so. I’m just waiting for the right time I think.

The next day, Hadley meets her first test subject, Adam.

And Helen publishes yet another book! Completing step 2 of the bestselling author aspiration.

It turns out, Adam goes to Hadley’s high school and was invited over after school. Ah, the plan is working perfectly without any intervention on my part.

Hadley: “yes come in research subject, before we begin please fill in this consent form and psychology questionnaire! Uhh, I mean Adam!”

Hadley must have undeniable charm (either that or Adam is very stupid) as the pair were going steady in no time at all.

Akira: “yeah go Hadley!”

Shut up Akira and do something useful lest I boot you in to the sim bin.

Debora also stops by and I have to take a picture at how quickly she is making friends with Helen. Honestly Helen is still just marginally in the green with her own daughter who, let’s face it, she has had far greater opportunities to get to know! But a few chatting interactions (on free will I might add) and they’re both good friends! Could we daughter swap and have Hadley in the main family? Heh heh….

Over in the city, the bustling population exposes all sorts of weirdos. Like this one here.

Philip and Vincenzo are doing just fine though!

Vincenzo has maxed painting meaning all that’s left to complete his aspiration is to paint 2 more masterpieces.

To let his hair down a bit, he heads off to the spice festival, where a shifty looking Akira is dashing off.

Akira: “I don’t want him to see me like this! This costume is for work! For work!!!”

Vincenzo manages to stop Akira to have a chat however, whilst also failing the spice challenge and falling ill in the process. Vincenzo spends most of this rotation ill with something or other FYI. There are lots of air-borne viruses in the city I’m sure.

I send the boys to the art gallery as Vin has a whim to paint a mural. Philip straight away brews some tea, probably due to how there isn’t any alcohol on the premises.

Helen also shows up looking ridiculous. She can’t even paint a stick man, so I don’t know why she’s turned up like Van Gogh.

She decides to butt in on Vincenzo’s mural though. Ummm, rude?

That night, Philip grabs some dinner in town and the bizarre old lady is there again. Then, free will really bites me in the ass as he goes over and FLIRTS with her. Like, what on earth is there to flirt with this woman about?!

“listen punk! You ain’t the only one who wants some of my loving! But you’re not getting it! Tough Mexican wrestler says he will CRUSH you!”

Errr, I think this lady has an alter-ego…

Vincenzo pops down from the apartment for something to eat a little later. As we can see he’s got sick again. I think this was the third time of the rotation.

And then I started questioning who the hell all these people are?! I swear the boys have gone out in the city before without everyone dressed like tourists. I don’t get what’s going on.

Vendor: “AIEEE! A mob of badly dressed tourists!”

Yes, quick, run! Before they get all your street food!!

As if the game can’t get any more warped, this happened. Yes, that is the lady Philip flirted with and she seems to have someone copying her. San Myshuno has bizarre trends that’s for sure!

We head out for a little karaoke. Would it really be the Waites Legacy without it?!

He was a skater boy, I said see ya later boy..”

Philip: “That’s my husband!”

Umm, yeah, Katrina knows, Phil. Remember, you previously apologised for hitting on her a few chapters back…

Aah, these two always steal my heart.

Back at home, Philip completes his master mixologist aspiration by reaching level 10 of the mixology skill. And he celebrates by setting fire to the tulips.

That’s all the Waites Legacy I think this chapter will hold for now, so join us next time for more fun! Will we ever see our heiress, Layla, grow up?! Will I ever get round to doing that house renovation?! Will Helen ever finish her aspiration and kick Akira’s sorry a$$ out?! Will Hadley woo all of sim-mankind as part of her psychological experiments?! Will other things happen?!

Don’t forget we also have our updated family tree here!

Until next time!
