Welcome back to the Oasis Springs Society. But which family is this?
Well, Vihaan has moved out now hasn’t he – so we’re joining him in his small and not even tastefully decorated apartment in San Myshuno. But first, we just have some business to attend to with Sofia Bjergsen.

“hmm… I don’t know why it’s 6am, and we’re all in the garden and I was a teen only 5 seconds ago but now I’m a young adult… and none of my family have aged or changed in any way?! Oh well! Tee hee!”
That’s it, Sofia – you call a cab to move out.

Vihaan: “Sofia?! What are you doing here?! And you’re now a young adult?! But how?!?!?!”
Sofia: “Oh Vihaan, I’m moving in! You know I think we’ve misjudged the creator’s level of intelligence. She really isn’t as stupid as I’ve certainly always thought,”
– gee thanks –
Sofia: “anyway, I knew she knew I am the only sim in this save file who could make you happy. Suddenly I got the strangest sensation that my household was being played. And I knew the creator is far too lazy to play me through the entire of my teenage years… so I felt something strange come over me, like a magical spell… and I suddenly thought I heard the words cas. fulleditmode. Next thing I knew I was a young adult and being sent to come and move in with you! Aren’t you happy?!”

Vihaan sure looks happy – and the couple seem to know how to celebrate.

Yep. Exactly.

Life in the big smoke carries on relatively normally for these two now. No more peculiarities from me being involved. Vihaan has really started to love playing basketball and is getting pretty good at it. Having the court outside is also very useful for keeping him fit.

I then feel sorry for Sofia who is very musically inclined but has no outlet for this and I waste (ahem, I mean spend) our last buck on this piano.

Although I do realise I haven’t taken any sims to a restaurant in a really long time – so the couple have a nice date at the pre-made bistro I plopped down in Willow Creek back at the start of this save.

And look, Kirby’s colleague and friend Wren is here with her lovely family. And the Bjergsens also seem to be out for dinner. I totally made up in my mind that they were checking in on their daughter and hoping she wouldn’t realise – as in my head canon they are that nuts.

Umm, kid, you probably don’t want to get in the middle of these two.

And the Coopers also showed up for something to eat! I love it when everyone in the save mingles together. Although I was a bit pissed that the servers sat one of my favourite families outside in the cold.

Vihaan is a foodie so he ordered the chef’s special of everything and look how happy my baby is!

At home the next day we finally get the welcome wagon. Sofia is actually making pretty good friends with Geeta here, but Chiara comes along and decides to wipe her memory. What is it with my aliens?! They do this to each other all the time, and it’s so tedious trying to build up relationship constantly.

Meanwhile the stragglers of the welcome wagon are having some sort of punch up in the lobby. I don’t know why, but it honestly went down.

Chiara: “Umm, hi, friend! I know I erased your memory like a couple of hours ago but that food smells so good so lets be besties and I can come in and eat yeah?!”

I really enjoy watching the world go by in the apartments. I find it so fun how my sims can be getting on with things indoors whilst I keep an eye on the street sellers or basketball or something. I then spotted this really white, ghostly figure and when I zoomed in found it was Kirby almost freezing to death! What is it with doctors?! Shouldn’t she be at work or something?! Kirby did eventually go and I kept checking Vihaan’s relationship panel to ensure Kirby was still there and she hadn’t shuffled off this mortal coil. But I’m sure I’d have been notified if his stepmum froze to death? No?

Meanwhile, Sofia seems to have the freest of free will and decides she quite likes the look of Raj. I watched what happened here for a little while and they were flirting long in to the afternoon.

Just further proof that Sofia has no inhibitions.

God damnit Kirby not again! I’m not sure why she’s so keen to put her tracksuit on and freeze?! I send Sofia out to go and say hello and try and get her inside. But Kirby just walks off and goes home.

But its time for winterfest (on the cheap because we’re poor ok?!) and by the time Kirby comes round she seems to have considerably warmed up. I thought it was appropriate to invite the Bjergsens even though the Culpepper apartments aren’t what they’re accustomed to. But I wanted the families to get along.

Ah, yes. The delight of a sims party.

Elsa makes sure Doctor Kirby hasn’t forgotten all about her. God, they’re essentially family now. From the look on Kirby’s face, she does remember how awful Elsa used to be as a patient at the hospital.

That evening its time for father winter. Vihaan loves his gift.

Sofia, who is stuck up and unappreciative hates her present – so Father Winter must be an excellent judge of character. And yes, I smiled wryly at Raj passed out right by his front door.

No, don’t adjust your screens. This is not an error. The couple are that poor that Sofia gets a part time job as a barista. I figured that suits her the best out of all the part time options and she can work on her music.
Sofia: “How do I look?! Tee hee!”
Oh yeah, amazing…. I totally see that look plastered all over my simstagram?

I thought this was pretty neat. Kirby rang Vihaan and after the call he had a moodlet from hearing family gossip. I can’t help but feel that in TS2 or TS1 we would have got a pop up saying what the gossip actually was, but I liked it all the same.

Vihaan is actually getting really good at basketball now!

Although he did get an injury and almost break his legs… so, you win some you lose some.

I send the couple to the romance festival as something to do and decide to see what happens.

This, however, is something I wasn’t accounting for. Vihaan is absolutely smitten with Sofia and wants to propose.

She says yes, and there’s an arch right here so I figure why not.

Yep, the couple tie the knot in their outerwear.

Aww, it was quite cute in a way. Something quiet, unassuming, not flashy… I thought it was really appropriate for this couple as they’re struggling with money right now.
As an aside, I never actually thought they would get married or if they did, not until a lot later in my gameplay. But Vihaan had whims the whole festival to spend the rest of his life with Sofia and I live to make him happy. So there we go.

Back at the flat it’s time for the New Years Countdown.

See, look how he looks at her?!

And the season is finished off with a kiss.
I really enjoyed playing these two and I’m looking forward to seeing where the next season goes. Hopefully, Vihaan will be working up the culinary ladder and getting more money in no time. But for once, I actually have no idea what I’ll do next. I’m actually up to date with updates for where I am in gameplay! So join us next time for the Coopers!
