Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 3 – Spring – Morgan

Welcome to the start of a fresh new rotation with the Oasis Springs Society! It’s rotation 3!! Let’s refresh my memory, what happened last time with the Morgans? Well, after the death of Ishaan, Kirby and Walter decided to up-sticks to the more serene Mount Komorebi to experience a slower pace of life.

They settled right in as Walter’s relationship with Florence blossomed. Kirby, perhaps moving on a little too soon started dating Trevon Patino.

However, I also have to update you on another family… the Chandran’s have moved in! That’s correct, after Vihaan divorced Sofia I didn’t really know what to do with the father, daughter duo. Agnes has the Mount Komorebi aspiration, so they moved in. I’m sure they will be one big happy family here.

Case in point as Kirby instantly pulled her step-son in for a hug. The Morgans have always done a lot of hugs in comparison to other families haven’t they?

Anyway, you may be wondering where I’m going to put Vihaan and Agnes. This is only a tiny lot and I am fresh out of bedrooms. It really did make me think for a long time of how to make use of the space. In the end, I thought I couldn’t really add on an extension as I wanted to keep the structural integrity of the house… I also thought that the family could do with some more living space anyway.

So I built down! I made a basement with spacious living and skilling area, two bedrooms and another bathroom.

Photos for those who are in to that sort of thing, otherwise please keep scrolling!

Peaceful hallway area.

Living room, trying to keep with the theme of the house.

Vihaan’s room, with some of the decor he had from San Myshuno.

A small but comfortable bedroom for Agnes, with walk in wardrobe.

Anyway, life continues. Walter is still absolutely smitten with Florence.

And the mourning continues. Good plumbbob Kirby I thought this was the end of this?!

Meanwhile, Vihaan and Agnes are settling in extremely well.

And it’s time for Agnes’ first day at the new school. I then consider if Vihaan may like to consider dating someone again and I scroll through his relationship panel.

Well, you can imagine how astounded I was to see he is good friends with one of the personal trainers and out of all the other women I think “yeah, maybe we could give her a call”. But she was already walking down the street and comes up to knock on the door!

Considering myself as a fortune teller / match maker, I invite Candice in and Vihaan greets her with a hug.

Even Johnny seems to approve.

That afternoon after school, Quartz comes home with Agnes. These two are actually pretty good friends considering Quartz seems to hate most people. Although with Agnes dating her brother, I guess it’s best to not get on Quartz’ bad side?

Anywho, I figure it’s time for the teens to let their hair down a bit and have some fun. What’s more fun than an onsen? Ha! Well, Agnes is living her best life. I’m doing this for her aspiration by the way, but figured we could turn it in to a social event. Even though everyone got pissed at Walter because he didn’t shower before getting in.

Although that isn’t the only problem as Quartz makes a few moves on Walter, and he reciprocates!

Walter Morgan you have been in love and chasing Florence since before I can remember! What are you doing!!

Florence: Urge to kill rising….

Leaving the teens to deal with their own filthy love triangle, back at home Vihaan and Kirby are enjoying some video games.

Vihaan even gets in to the sims. I used to love playing this in Sims 1. I thought the winter holiday destination was fascinating. I figure Vihaan could take up programming as a hobby, but he just gets bored and plays video games instead.

After school, Syrah comes home with Agnes. These two are so sweet together

Meanwhile Walter is going through a phase and has come home a bit irritated with absolutely everything. Pfft, tell me about it. He decides the best thing for it is a bubble bath.

As Agnes is just pulling Syrah in to her wardrobe next door.

Kirby, however, is back to mourning. Seriously, if I leave her on free will and don’t regularly check on her she would spend most of the day in front of the urn.

I decide it’s time for a night out with the girls. This time we’re at the karaoke bar, the one with the nice garden out the front. Anyway, what’s better than dancing with the entertainment?

Chiara: “Umm.. several glasses of wine of course?!”

Ah, I still absolutely love Chiara.

And Nancy… who seems to be getting absolutely trollied.

Nancy: “I’m making the most of being out tonight by whacking in the alcohol volume”

Well yes, I assumed as much…

In fact, I’m a little upset I didn’t get a nice photo of Kirby like this seeing as it was an outing on her rotation.

Whatever, the girls didn’t have a really late night as the family have plans today. But first thing’s first, Agnes develops the fear of being cheated on whilst sitting on the toilet. Yeah, that’s where I think of my relationship too, on the toilet…

But it’s Walter’s birthday to young adult today so we’re hosting a little shindig at home for everybody.

Things are going just great, in case you can’t tell.

Thankfully two kissing teens get it back on track. Enjoy, Walter because it’ll be a little bit of time before your next kiss…

It’s time to blow out the candles on the cake with seemingly no one else in the Sim Universe to care. That’s the running theme of this save apparently, and it builds character so get on with it.

Walter is now cheerful, responsible and has good manners. He kept the bodybuilder aspiration.

Agnes has more important business to take care of and decides to discuss her fear of infidelity with Syrah whilst Chiara sat and listened.

Worries quashed, these two are keen for a little private moment. Chiara has never been good at this type of thing has she…

Chiara: “Alright kids! Way to go!”

The party quickly gets back on track with video games. Everyone’s had a pretty great time.

Agnes spent the rest of the evening having some peace and quiet as she read her book.

Whilst Walter considers his young adulthood.

He goes straight in to the athletic career, you weren’t expecting any different were you?

The next day I decide to get Vihaan out of the house so we go to Willow Creek.

A bit of a let down really, as half the guys I invited didn’t show up, and those who did stood around talking about the beautiful plants you can get in the suburbs…

Johnny: “Umm.. this is a bit different to Partihaus?”

Yes, I know Johnny, I wanted to create a sort of outing group for the guys, but I messed up.

Back home, Agnes and Syrah go on a little date. They are such a wholesome couple, I really feel with them that it’s not always about the romance, but the friendship they have too… They just seem so strong and well rounded.

Agnes is having the time of her life, Syrah seems a little unsure of the strange human flying contraption. It’s a beautiful sunset too!

Back at home, Vihaan continues to see where the dating game is taking him… he’s taking things a little slower with Candice than he ever did with Sofia. Walter leaving for work in the background sets the tone perfectly.

Maybe it’s wise that Vihaan is taking his time with women now. Candice here for some reason is inconsolable as she randomly decides to mourn Ishaan, who, may I remind you all, is Vihaan’s father. I know, maybe some things in life aren’t worth knowing…

Back to a relationship that is actually working, Agnes and Syrah head out after school to one of the coffee shops in Windenberg.

I really love the look of this place. It seems so clean and contemporary. I don’t really have a lot of time to play the Sims these days, so even if something came out years ago, I’m still enjoying looking at it often for the first time (as I’m sure I’ve never properly looked at this cafe before).

Ishaan: “So this is my wife’s new lover is it?”

Ishaan spends a lot of his afterlife moping around the house these days in a state of ennui. I may release his spirit, but I also enjoy having him around..

No one else notices Ishaan’s presence anyway, Agnes is getting in to fitness with the help of Walter.

She also exchanges promise rings with Syrah as this rotation comes to an end.

Meanwhile, Kirby (who we’ve not seen a lot of this rotation) has a relaxing trip to the onsen.

And this move to Mount Komorebi seems to be doing the world of good for the whole family as Vihaan progresses to level 7 of the culinary track.

But that’s all we have time for this season! Join us next time for more fun with this lot. For once, I’ve not played ahead and I have no ideas in mind… so your guess is as good as mine for what happens next!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 3 – Spring – Cooper (2)

Welcome to more Oasis Springs Society. The rotational save that makes you go “hmm”.

And then probably shrug your shoulders in apathy. But I enjoy playing these little pixels and writing about them! So we carry on!

Last time with the Coopers…. Dates were had, Logan and Rocco moved out, Winterfest was celebrated and with the kids growing up, Nancy looked for ways to fill more of her free time.

I must admit, the start of the rotation felt a little empty without Logan in the house anymore. So the family went out to the pub in Windenburg to spend some time. As you can see, Florence is loving winning this game against her parents.

And even Sam has joined us!

It actually looks like wholesome family fun doesn’t it!

But, wholesome family fun comes to an end for a gathering of the whole crew at home!

Umm thanks Rocco. I was stunned to find that no one actually likes him. Everyone has a very minimal friendship bar with him and I’ve noticed when left to their own devices, he often argues with the rest of the crew. Oh well, there’s always one black sheep and it takes the heat off of Quartz doesn’t it.

Cliff has come prepared for the water slide. I like to think because he’s good friends with Johnny, he gave him the heads up to bring his swim trunks!

The only concern I do have with Cliff though, is that he still has an irrational fear of the dark / just being outside in general. When I played his rotation a while ago he developed a fear of the dark, and I couldn’t cure it in time so moved rotations. Ever since, the fear is no longer showing in Cliff’s simology page, but he still freaks out like it is. He’s been like this for so long now that I’m now past the point of caring. But he often goes around screaming at people.

The Morgan’s are of course being the Morgan’s.

And Florence decides to show Walter a selfie. Soon, Florence, soon. You age up tomorrow and then you can be together again.

The next day Kirby and Walter stop by. Which is convenient that they’re already here for the party!

I love these ladies so much!

And it just slays me that Walter (who is actually very respectful) always greets Florence’s father, Johnny, with a handshake.

Logan has also come back home for the party. In fact, pretty much the entire Oasis Springs Society is here.

Even though Logan would rather get cereal whilst his sister is aging up. And you will notice through the window that Johnny’s pull to the water slide is just too strong.

At least we still have Syrah to be a general sweetheart and celebrate.

After Florence ages up, Walter immediately pulls her in for a kiss. He really is smitten with her and always has been!

Florence is now self assured, mean, dastardly, happy toddler bonus trait and her aspiration remains chief of mischief.

It’s smooches all round as the party comes to an end. Everyone seems to have had a good time.

I was a little bit stuck with the direction to take Florence. I had always pictured her being the villain of this generation, but she simply isn’t mean enough. Not when compared to Quartz at least. She’s incredibly clever and quite independent, even with Walter head over heels in love with her, Florence really doesn’t seem that bothered. It was at this point, that the Jungle Adventure pack was being given away for free by Epic Games and I thought, this may be the unexpected direction I need…

So the family take a little holiday. Johnny loves the relaxed vibe of this place. Nancy immediately came in and started cleaning. I can imagine her being the sort of mum who doesn’t trust that the rental property has been cleaned to her standards after the last guests!

Sam joins us too of course! I figured he’d like the exercise. And I love this shot of Florence enjoying her first day on vacation.

The parents seem to be enjoying themselves too!

Nancy: “This place truly is beautiful isn’t it?”

We take a trip in to the village. Some of us have different motives to each other.

For Florence it is a chance to buy supplies for her to start looking for artefacts…

For the OG Oasis Springs Society, it’s a chance to try the delights of the local booze.

Hilariously, because this is the Sims and anything can happen, Vihaan was also here??

Florence: “Oh hey, Vihaan? Fancy seeing you here in the middle of the Selvadorada jungle?!”

Vihaan: “Hey Florence! Yeah, weird huh?! Well I’m just here to see the local sights, have a little vacation somewhere warm you know?”

Florence: “I see, well I’m going to be doing some exploring… have a great time Vihaan. Just one question though…”

Florence: “… why are you here with your ex wife?”

Yes, you can’t write it. Sofia Bjergsen has for some reason come to the middle of the jungle with Vihaan? Of all the other ladies Vihaan could have invited, he chooses her?! Maybe he’s trying to lure her to some of Selvadorada’s poisonous offerings?

Back in the cantina, it doesn’t take much for these two to be all over each other anyway (they are my most loved up couple!), but exotic drinks and the atmosphere of the place mean that these Florence and Johnny are giving multiple displays of affection.

In fact, they’re not even that bothered that their beloved daughter is going off galavanting in the jungle.

This place is really beautiful isn’t it?!

Anyway, please enjoy some pictures of Florence doing some cool explorer things.

And yes, it is chucking it down and she gets soaked.

So beautiful! I am actually quite impressed with this pack, so far I’m having fun. And Florence so far has actually found a fair few artefacts that she will need to validate.

Florence’s parents however have basically not moved from the cantina for the duration of the trip. Nancy is missing her friends from home it seems and decides to chat with these ladies. Her gossip just doesn’t hit the same as it does with Kirby and Chiara!

Florence opts for a different outfit the next day which may be more suited to the downpours she has experienced so far in the jungle.

Although I think it is definitely better for Florence to be out of the small vacation lot, as when these two aren’t drinking, they’re flirting.

Good boy Sam joins Florence for her exploring today.

But now our vacation is over. And it’s time for a quick swim before we head home.

Normality resumes.

Including Johnny’s definition of normality…

Johnny: “Oh water slide, I have missed you!”

Florence makes. a start examining her artefacts. It seems to be taking an age though, and I’m not sure if she’s doing it right? Maybe something to explore next rotation.

But anyway, she’s invited out for coffee by one of the Selvadorada locals she met on her trip.

They go to one of the nice coffee shops in Windenburg. And hey, he’s pretty cute! And it is love day…

We just so happen to bump in to Chiara, who completely isn’t bothered that Florence is on some form of date with this guy and not Walter…

And well, it certainly seems like she’s drawn to him….

Back at home, Florence continues her archeology whilst thinking about the options for her romantic interests… but that’s all we have time for this rotation.

Join us next time for more fun, adventure, and what will happen with Florence’s love interests? Your guess is as good as mine!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 2 – Winter – Evaristo

Good evening! It’s that time for some more Oasis Springs Society! We’re back with the Evaristo’s, our favourite family from outer space; where abouts exactly? Pfft, Quartz says somewhere far flung and remote, you wouldn’t have heard of it.

Right, let’s try and remember what happened last time. Cliff just did a lot of writing, novel after novel, got to get bestsellers for his aspiration…. Chiara carried on being a social butterfly but without the overwhelming psychological pressure of completing the party animal aspiration… Quartz demonstrated her evil trait perfectly and did nothing but argue with Syrah, causing him a whole range of complex emotional issues leading to him either having to pep talk to himself or cry in his bed almost on a rotation. And we had Syrah, who grew up with the aspiration of Mansion Baron, quite fitting really for a boy who is apparently desperate to run far away from his family. He also grew close to Agnes Joy Chandran and the two seem to compliment each other very nicely indeed!

The weather for winter in San Myshuno is always miserable. But when I send the family out places I always seem to forget that every world has awful winter weather apart from Oasis Springs. Chiara had to review some dishes for her job so we have a family outing to the bistro in Willow Creek. It’s also snowing heavy here but Chiara is able to warm herself by the fire.

The waitress has the genius idea to sit them outside, Cliff looks just thrilled, doesn’t he.

Although they do actually look here like a very nice picture of family life.

Hey who brought in the trash? Ha ha, seriously that joke just wrote itself. Get it, Sofia Chandran with some dirty dishes. Ah *wipes tear from eye*.

Sofia continues to try and get air time by popping up in various spots and acting casual about it. I’ve never seen this other woman before in my life, but see – she just wants me to be interested in her.

Anyway, back home Chiara came down with a nasty case of food poisoning. Eeek, way to go, poison the food critic – I bet they’ll get a bad review!

Anyway, we start off Monday morning with Syrah feeling gloomy. This is normally the case for him, he’s in a bad mood at least once a day.

Cliff however is loving life writing book after book. However still no best-sellers. I remember struggling with this aspiration an awful lot with my Waites legacy too. How on earth am I ever going to get 3 best-sellers?! Cliff does nothing else but write these days in the.hope of achieving it.

Anyway, we decide to hit the town in order to get away from miserable children and a husband who may as well be attached to the computer by ball and chain. The girls have not had a night out like this in a fair while and don’t they look great all dancing again!

Chiara and Kirby are really getting in to it. Meanwhile, Johnny has also turned up so Nancy goes over to flirt with her husband. Just like the old days really.

Readers will also note that Sofia Chandran is here as well. In the bottom left. *sigh*

Back at home we find Baako singing to our door for some reason.

Honestly, everyone truly believes they have weird neighbours I’m sure. But these ones really are something.

For work Chiara has to paint some graffiti. I hate this work task in the winter as all the areas to paint in the city are on the floor apart from this one on the arts centre, so it’s the only one that Chiara can use to complete this task because of the snow. Anyway, I digress.

Walter comes over for a bit that evening to socialise and also to try and get to know Quartz a little better so that all the kids are relatively decent friends.

As you can see, this perhaps isn’t going well as Quartz seems to be freaking everyone out with her story.

But whatever, it’s time for a night out and we pick the lounge so Chiara and Cliff can have a drink and Quartz can make a mess and go in the pool.

This kid still really loves swimming.

Ah yes, wholesome family fun. Kids swimming whilst the parents down cocktail after cocktail. Parenting attitudes must be a little different on Cliff and Chiara’s home planet.

Not for me to judge, Quartz decides to start another fight with her brother whilst this poor woman is left to clean up her mess.

I really love this chaotic little family, and actually I noticed that Chiara and Baako have made pretty good friends whilst I’ve not been playing their household. They’ve let bygones and little maid outfits be bygones apparently. See, neighbours can be good friends!

The next day it’s time for Winterfest. I normally serve a grand breakfast as opposed to a grand dinner as my sims are never normally too hungry for such a big meal at dinner time.

After breakfast, Quartz continues to not give a crap that Father Winter sees you when you’re sleeping, knows when you’re awake… and when you’re dropping 3 tubs of paint on the floor. Cliff also does not care apparently. But we knew already that his precious offspring from space can do no wrong.

However both kids do go to read books on free will?! Who’d have thought.

And it’s time to open the presents! Chiara didn’t actually like hers but she got a freaking karaoke machine!!! Quartz decides to throw some flour around whilst she waits for her turn.

She got something good for some reason, as she totally doesn’t deserve it…

And the family sinks in to their afternoon of fun and wholesome activities.

Quartz: *Evil cackle at her snowman army*

It’s soon time for Father Winter to make an appearance.

Quartz: “Hello and Welcome to our home Father Winter”

Father Winter: “My what a sweet little girl! Just let me go and re-stock your present pile!”

LIES! DECEIT!

Father Winter: “Ah, I love the alien houses! The hospitality is always first class”

Yes, because all Chiara does is drink!

The next morning Syrah tries his future cube before school. I asked about his love life which actually said it was blooming! This actually meant that Syrah went to school happy for once instead of completely miserable from his gloomy trait.

With both kids at school, the couple can work on their career goals. Cliff is still churning out the books. Chiara here has just topped the food critic career!

Quartz: “Now then baby McCuddles… I can hear the beat of your first heart, but what about your second heartbeat? And the song coming from your liver?! My daddy tells me every normal human has two hearts and a musical liver. You must be extremely sick! But don’t worry, I have just the medicine. Now tell me, are you allergic to poison?”

Umm, gulp.

Moving swiftly on, it’s time to introduce the girlfriend to the extended family. Even though I’m sure they all know each other already as this save is like one big family.

See, wholesome family times had by all.

Chiara: “Look Cliff! Your child can actually clean up after herself!”

It did make me laugh how genuinely happy Chiara looked that Quartz was doing something to reverse her destructive nature.

Still, coming from these two as your source of a stable upbringing I’m not sure what I expected…. Cliff is chained to the computer day and night until he gets us those 3 best sellers. And here is Chiara drinking cocktails for breakfast. You see…

Nancy still rings every day wanting another baby. Seriously, no matter what other family I’m playing this always happens. It’s quite sad really but I’m not giving the Coopers another child now! However today, Cliff also had the want for another baby! Which I really wouldn’t have expected of him.

Get your hands off of your wife, Cliff!

Well, they woohooed and that is it. You will note in Syrah’s bed too! Honestly why is the coding of this game sometimes so sick.

Still, we decide to get the whole group together for a meal at the bistro where again the server sits us right outside. Oh and look, best hide that pile of dirty plates from Chiara who is the city’s top food critic.

I must have forgotten that this is the same place that gave her food poisoning… to be honest it looks like Chiara forgot too as she’s having the best time!

Squee! It’s so nice seeing them all together!!

That night, I figure the kids also need to do something as a group. And what is a more wholesome bonding activity than underage clubbing? I mean I turned out ok…

They’re actually having the best time!

I love them all, Syrah is such a cutie!

Anyway, he goes to approach Agnes. These two still aren’t going steady and I want to try and make that happen so they don’t develop romantic relationships with anyone else when I’m playing another lot.

Anyway my plan was a success. So please enjoy the Syrah and Agnes selfies. I’ve got in to the habit of taking selfies of all my couples.

So adorable! Although Syrah’s happy aura makes him look actually bio-luminescent.

Anyway, the night came to a close when Partihaus came to show off their moves. Meaning that Johnny royally went all out with the dancing (at least Logan looks impressed), Chiara went straight to the bar. Seriously, I’m not even making this up.

That night, the Jang’s are back to their normal selves. Syrah, who is full of confidence from Agnes’ requited love is not in the mood to suffer fools tonight.

It actually works! Although I spared you a photo of Baako in his maid’s outfit again.

Finally the end of the week and it’s time to do a few chores before Quartz’ birthday. So she’s doing her homework at the art gallery.

Whilst Syrah goes to have a look around. I actually love this painting!

But this is the real reason we’re here. 2 hours of mural painting again. My least favourite work task.

As soon as we’re done though, it’s time to go to the park in Oasis Springs for Quartz’ party. Everyone is so predictable now. Of course Kirby is dancing and of course Chiara is serving drinks!

Anyway, enjoy the party spam. Everyone is having a great time.

Rocco has just slotted in to the crew seamlessly!

Meanwhile, Florence is hanging out with this group of delinquents at the jungle gym.

But it’s time to blow out the candles!

And look! Everyone came to cheer Quartz on. She is absolutely gorgeous but please excuse us 2 minutes whilst we find a mirror to give her her hair back.

So the kids got a table and decided to chat amongst themselves.

Although Rocco keeps supplying the under-aged with drinks!

And here she is! Quartz rolled art lover like her brother frustratingly. However, her rolled aspiration is… soulmate.

That’s right, Quartz who is one of my most evil sims wants to find the right person to settle down with. Although I suppose we could find someone who shares Quartz’ keen interests in sim misery.

She promptly decides to tell a story about sim death and suffering. What a delight.

Anyway, you will note that she still charges around the house like she owns the place.

Syrah quite literally just keeps his head down.

But the cocktail is suggestive that it’s time for the sim year to come to an end. Well, the cocktail might suggest that if it was anyone else but Chiara. We are already well versed in her little juice habit.

And knock me down with a feather, it is the siblings who spontaneously hug?! Syrah, the kid who used to cry every day at the thought of his sister, and Quartz who would torment him for jollies…

Have they finally let bygones be bygones? Pfft, I doubt it, but who knows. Join us next time for more Oasis Springs Society! Will Cliff ever write three best sellers? Will he ever even write one? How will things go with Syrah and Agnes? And will Quartz ever find a soulmate? Well, I dread to consider who he will be if she does!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 2 – Winter – Cooper

More Oasis Springs Society did you say? Welcome back. This time we’re with the Coopers in Oasis Springs.

Last time a few interesting things happened… Johnny completed his aspiration, Florence and Walter became a couple, Logan and Rocco became even closer… some outings with the Oasis Springs Society were had and we got Sam! And now I can’t imagine this family without him! It felt like a busy season last time and I guess it kind of was, as I managed caring for a dog and managing 2 teenage relationships.

Anyway, it looks like a pretty bleak start for the Coopers this morning.

Not that that stops Johnny from his favourite activity, the shark head slide! Closely followed by drinking coffee.

However, it’s a busy day considering it’s a Sunday as it’s someone’s birthday! That’s right, as I intend for him to be an established part of the family, I’ve held a birthday party for Rocco to age up to Young Adult (and then he stays slightly older than Logan too).

Of course Chiara was the first one to the bar, and Florence and Walter continued to be all over each other.

Yeah, everything seemed to be going as well as it could be, considering these types of social events always descend to chaos when you have to socialise with townies.

Speaking of which, Sofia decided to show up for some reason. Umm, you weren’t even invited hon.

Chiara: “Well she still wants her face to have some air-time”

Chiara, I think you should leave those two drinks there, you’ve had enough.

Anyway, poor little Rocco grew up pretty much on his own. Everyone apart from Florence, Syrah and this guy were all too busy drinking.

Nope, nope, not awkward at all.

Anyway, the rest of the party was spent socialising. Rocco grew up looking exactly the same (as teen to YA always do for some weird reason)… so we wrapped things swiftly up before it started to snow heavier.

Ah, it may be snowing just a couple of hours ago at the party, but in Oasis Springs it’s somehow warm enough in winter to still be able to walk your dog in a bathing suit. Go figure.

That afternoon Vihaan comes round for some video games, which you will notice throughout seasons, is something that he and Johnny like to do.

Umm, no one invited this lady though.

Florence however, was waiting outside for her young love. Walter Morgan is at this house pretty much every day.

Florence decides to show off her outfit, which is great honey, seeing as you look exactly the same as every other day *pats*.

These two take some cute relationship selfies by the front door.

Aww look!

I still don’t know how I feel about them as a couple. Walter is absolutely smitten for Florence, but I just don’t know how they suit each other… still, we’ll just see what happens.

Meanwhile, Logan has been asking for advice a lot recently, I think he’s trying to cram as much guidance in to his final teen years as possible.

And the afternoon carries on quite quietly…

Apart from Logan who goes and cries over something. I don’t know.. I think he may have even been having a mood swing at this point. I don’t remember.

At this point I remember Florence’s selfies. I think it’s pretty self explanatory which one we’ll be keeping.

Sam remains the best dog ever.

The next day, Florence comes home from school and to my delight has entered the ‘loud’ phase.

For a sim who is mean, this makes her even more obnoxious than usual and she goes to yell at Sam who looks extremely confused.

This broke my heart as I can’t stand people being mean to animals. Even pixel ones, so I do have Johnny go and discipline Florence about this.

Tired of the domestic bliss that this family brings, we decide to have an outing of the whole crew at the Oasis Springs bar. Johnny did start a comedy routine but as you can tell, no one cared.

The time was spent dancing instead.

And then the girls spotted an ice rink in the parking lot, so we went to do that for a little bit.

Considering these two have pretty good fitness skill, they spent a lot of time on their backsides. Johnny however, who absolutely hates fitness stayed on his feet the whole time.

Figuring that Nancy had significantly damaged her coccyx by now, and that the kids would be home from school, we go home.

Ah yes, home. The most comfortable place on earth. Florence now does nothing but swear and stomp around. It truly is very welcoming.

Sam also has a habit of sleeping right in the doorway leaving members of the family to magically glitch half of themselves through the wall.

But none of that really matters on a day like today. It’s Winterfest!

Nancy looks particularly happy with her cooking.

After a grand breakfast it’s time to decorate the tree. You can tell that this is one of Nancy’s favourite traditions. She’s so homely.

Johnny: “At least I still have time for the slide!”

Yes, you do, although is there any point in the umbrella? The rain is doing nothing that you’re not already doing to yourself…

Johnny then goes to his second love, to fix the coffee pot. I figured it would be quite ironic if he died of electrocution fixing this thing. Thankfully, he remained alive.

Anywho, it’s time for a Winterfest birthday. Logan is quietly growing up to young adult.

For his final trait he rolled jealous.

One of my least favourite traits of the whole game. Great. I am now going to have a lifetime of ‘where’s my partner?!’ moodlets. I used to really like you, Logan. Don’t let me down.

I have plans for Logan and Rocco to get their own home at the end of the season and to have Logan start a different career. In the mean time he takes a job in business for some quick cash and goes to work on his logic skill.

Not that he has much time to practice, as look who is literally sprinting down the street.

Rocco: “Oh Logan my love! I came as quick as I could. Those three days whilst I was an adult and you were a teen were hellish! Thank our plumbobs that we’re now the same age again and can continue our relationship!”

More soppy stuff was said, hands were held, kissing was done etc etc.

And as I said, Walter is here almost every day. No one invited him, but for some reason he has no problem whipping his clothes off to go on the slide with his girlfriend’s dad.

Walter: “Hey, I always pack my swim trunks when I come here!”

With all the chaos going on outside, it’s easy to forget that it is still Winterfest.

Father Winter only gives gifts to the kids this year as they were the only two bothered by it. Johnny and Nancy were showing their age and were in bed having a nap by 8pm!

Logan gets a good present, I don’t think Florence did.

The next morning is started with a jog. It’s felt a bit difficult this season as there isn’t a lot of winter plants in the garden to tend and with the kids growing up, Nancy hasn’t had a lot to do.

So she takes Sam out to Brindleton Bay.

But I forgot that everywhere in Winter apart from Oasis Springs is covered in snow and it seemed pointless having a drink and freezing to death, so we go home.

Bartender: “You would be surprised the lengths some sims go to for a drink. I’m out here in all weathers and I really think my employer needs to do more in terms of workplace protections!”

Umm,… join a union, is all I can say…

Florence is no longer loud, but she is incredibly overdramatic, or whatever the phase is.

For a sim who is mean, argumentative and generally standoffish, she does nothing but cry at the drop of a hat.

Here we go again. She was so over the top with this one that I really thought she was going to collapse to the floor. So I thought long and hard… what would cheer Florence up….?

Well! Working on her aspiration of course! She has to do some pranks on someone, so I peruse my list of victims… by which I mean, see who’s walking by the house.

She picks this lady, but is lacking so much confidence that she can’t even complete her prank. Good Llama Above, Florence! Get on with it.

Lady: “Aww, it’s alright dear, be as mean as you like. I’m a townie, this is the most social interaction I’m ever going to get, I’m glad of it… get it out your system”

Anyway, the next day, Florence is at school and Logan is at work. My daughter was playing my save and I only just realised that this bar has a downstairs!! So I sent Nancy and Johnny to their favourite date spot to have some drinks and try it out.

It was all going well until this lady flirted with Nancy. Johnny was absolutely raging and let this ruin the date. What is it with townies and their lack of shame?

We have a quick game on the football table and then head home.

Johnny is taking the solitary flirt a little hard. Umm, Johnny, you’re only hurting yourself by doing that because I’m going to make you pick it up and put the rubbish back in straight away…

Deciding to focus on a relationship where the couple doesn’t hate each other, Logan and Rocco go out to dinner in the middle of a blizzard.

Mortimer and Bella also decide to show their faces.

Where Bella and this guy immediately flirt. Mortimer genuinely doesn’t seem to care. I don’t understand how he feels so comfortable being ignorant to his wife across the entire sims franchise.

Mortimer: “Hey, when you’re getting as much as I am, you tend to be able to look the other way about the small stuff.”

Umm, he means as many chess matches, kids. Hmm, yes, as many chess matches. The Goths and their small, wooden pieces… am I right?!

Rocco turns up looking like a member of the Men in Black. But these two are having a nice evening.

Even Trevon and Kirby are here! He’s currently strutting out thinking of spaceship woohoo. Ok Trevon, whatever you like.

Anyway, these two are the absolute cutest of cute couples. I love them, they compliment each other so well.

Here they are complimenting each other, whilst Chiara is dining out with this guy?

I have absolutely no idea. I don’t know who this guy is, I’m not sure why he knows Chiara, I’m not sure why he’s wearing something quite casual to a fancy restaurant, I’m not sure why Chiara is with a guy who is lowering the tone so much. Anyway, the boys don’t seem to mind and only have eyes for each other.

After their meal, they go back to the house for the night. I was pretty impressed, it was the night on the town event and I was expecting some money off the bill, but they got their dinner completely free!

They decide to take some selfies in the garden, when Logan asks Rocco to move in. Rocco’s stats are as follows:

Rocco McRae: Mean, Outgoing, Vegetarian, Collector
Aspiration: The Curator

Now, I was in a bit of a dilemma, as I play a cheat free game. I moved Rocco’s family in to a large house in Oasis Springs. They are richer than the sultan. Even with buying a mansion, they still had close to 1 million in the bank. Now, I have plans for these two to buy a comfortable home and work on their respective careers (more on that when I play their rotation!) so I had to work out how much money to move Rocco in with.

I figured that 60k was pocket change, and would help set the boys up with a pretty decent home when they move out at the end of the season.

I was also robbed, as Rocco isn’t an alien at all! But we all saw what we saw when they started dating, Logan fooled around with Rocco and was pissed that he’d been deceived as Rocco was an alien. I was pretty cross about this, but it’s a good job I love these two instead of being inclined to break them up. I’m sure I’ll let Rocco off.

It was at that precise moment, with one day left of the season, that Johnny Zest goes outside ready to be picked up for his date with a probe and an alien with the initials PT.

Damnit! I know they wanted another baby but not like this!!! I was on tenterhooks for the rest of the season watching out for any signs of alien pregnancy, but thankfully the aliens decided they didn’t want to use Johnny’s genes for the purpose of alien / sim procreation.

Florence: “Brother.”

Now you may be wondering who gave the teenager that cocktail. It was Rocco! I’ll let him off because he was celebrating New Years, but he’s already absolutely hilarious.

The rest of the family then decide to have a meeting in the bathroom.

Before counting down til midnight.

Meanwhile, Johnny is throwing up. I was seriously concerned at this point. But no, thankfully no alien pregnancy, just a sickness bug.

And we finally celebrate the new year. Vihaan has joined us for the occasion, whilst Florence doesn’t seem to give two hoots.

These two see in the new year with some kisses though! I have a feeling Logan and Rocco are going to get on just great.

Join us next time for more Oasis Springs Society. Next in the rotation we’ll be with the Evaristo’s. When we join the Coopers again we should have Florence growing up and Logan and Rocco moving out and experiencing the beginning of their lives together. Find out next time if Florence’s mood swings will ever stop – will she finally be able to be mean to people?! Will Nancy and Johnny have a nice, normal, romantic date together? Will the shark slide see even more action?! You already know the answer is yes as it’ll be spring! Anyway, in a while, crocodile!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 2 – Winter – Chandran

Is it time for some more Oasis Springs Society? It seems so! Join us with the Chandrans! Right, let me try and remember what happened last time…

Family events were had, including Agnes being cute, Sofia taking her clothes off at her husband’s birthday party and Vihaan generally plodded through life continuing to go to the gym. Lets not forget Sofia and Raj Rasoya’s ‘friendship’ blossoming further. To be honest, when I think of the last rotation I can’t help but think about Vihaan being unable to clear his fear of a dead end job, and Sofia trying to write songs all day with varying degrees of success. But it’s time to move on, so follow me…

We start off with the family at the Festival of Youth. Agnes had a great time and is so cute with her little ice cream.

Sofia meanwhile: “Yes I’ll have a drink of whatever has your highest alcohol volume please”

Pfft, so classy.

At least Vihaan is indulging in his child’s interests and is enjoying the festival with Agnes.

Life carries on back at the apartment. Sofia is trying to write another song which leaves Vihaan to do most of the things around the house.

Still, I decide it’s worth Agnes knowing more of her extended family, so Elsa comes round for a little bit.

Agnes is also brilliant at basketball. I don’t know how she’s managed that, but it was really fun to watch.

Agnes: “Ok everyone, queue forms to the left”

Sofia makes the most of the apartment being empty by spending time with Raj. He doesn’t seem to care that she’s blotchy from llama flu or whatever, he also doesn’t care that he’s just fought with the waste disposal chute. It’s always a good time to make out.

Apart from when it isn’t.

My poor Vihaan. I feel so bad for him. Despite her overwhelming flaws, he really liked Sofia.

And even though they’d just been caught cheating, Sofia and Raj still woohooed.

Hilariously, Geeta also seemed to be getting it on. But who is she in there with? Your guess is as good as mine!

Although some things are better left a mystery.

Vihaan is understandably raging and all the pair have done since is argue.

I don’t normally divorce my sims although I think this is the only option here, but I’m not going to do it just yet. I don’t know why.

Vihaan also had to go to work this evening and the game said it seems like he’s in the middle of something right now, do I still want him to go? I was like yes please, get him out the apartment for a bit!

I’ve also been side tracked by keeping up with Agnes. She asks to bring Quartz Evaristo home from school today. I don’t know how they’ve become friends to be honest.

And look, they’re pretty good friends! I’m not sure how an introverted little girl like Agnes has made Quartz Evaristo as one of her only friends – the girl who is so evil that even her own brother hates every moment of living with her. But hey, these two get on just great thanks!

To give her parents some space in which to argue a bit more, Agnes goes to the park after school where Elsa is having a wholesome game of chess.

Elsa: “Oh boolprop! How does this piece move again? Is it 5 spaces? Or diagonal?”

She was evidently just trying to hustle Agnes though, as she wasn’t as bad as she looked.

However, Agnes did win the game which is just a little bit funny that a kid was able to win a chess match against her aunt.

Despite everything, Agnes loves both of her parents and could sense that Sofia needed a hug.

We decide to go to the gym to let off some steam. This personal trainer is very enthusiastic in cheering Vihaan on..

And when we get home it’s an actual blizzard. The only sims stupid enough to be out in this are the human statue, I suppose gold body paint doesn’t pay for itself.

Not that I would know…

Johnny also ventures out in the blizzard just to check in on his best buddy. They spend a bit of time talking about everything going on at the moment.

But then also spent the rest of the afternoon playing video games. These two are such great friends which is lovely to see this relationship come out of the Oasis Springs Society. And Johnny really did turn up unannounced, these two really are true friends and compliment each other really nicely.

Anyway the next day is Winterfest and it’s started with a lovely hug for Agnes and Vihaan. So cute! I have no idea where Sofia is, but whatever.

Sofia also doesn’t join them for singing around the Winterfest tree.

These two are just so adorable I’m going to leave them to it as I resist the urge to screenshot every little interaction they have.

Meanwhile…

Jesminder: “pfft, why do all the creeps come out when the streets are quiet”

Ahem, moving swiftly on.

We have a big Winterfest gathering of both extended families as I figure that would still be nice for Agnes to have time with both branches of her family.

For once, it actually seems like quite a well functioning family. I’ll assume that Vihaan is being a good host as opposed to making all of the drinks for himself. The Morgan side of the family are again the most wholesome with that hug in the front there!

And now it’s time to open some presents!

Clara: “oh hi, you must be my daughter’s new boyfriend whilst she’s still living with her husband, because this player is too lazy and uncertain to divorce them!”

Ouch, Clara. Don’t make me cheat your household funds away!

Well, the party continues anyway. Both families aren’t just here for Winterfest, but also for Agnes’ birthday to teen… which I’m really very excited about!

They actually look like they’re really getting along. I think Walter and Elsa are actually pretty good friends considering the similar ages, so it’s nice to see them joking around too.

Anyway, this is how Agnes grew up! She looks amazing but I don’t really think it fits her personality.

Here she is after a bit of a makeover! I love her! She is such a sweetheart. She got the mount Komorebi aspiration which will be nice to do, and the proper trait which even though I always randomise just fits her so well!

Anyway, Clara and Bjorn take themselves off in to the bedroom for some reason.

Don’t you two start!

Once everyone had gone home it was time for a couple of things. First things first was presents from Father Winter.

The second thing was to divorce Sofia. She looks remarkably angry for some reason even though she had this coming?

Sofia will stay living here until the end of the rotation as I’m too much of a lazy player to have my ages and rotations out of sync.

Maybe Clara Bjergsen was right about something.

Vihaan was feeling pretty rubbish about himself after I finally admitted that divorce was the only option. We go to the gym to let off some steam.

Although I don’t think Vihaan needed to be too worried. It seems like divorce has made him instantly attractive to pretty much everyone.

Eliza: “What?! It’s always good to have a backup plan!”

Jenna: “pfft! Not a chance in hell, I’m even wearing a towel!”

Agnes decides to come along after school and bumps in to Florence. Agnes just seems to get along with everyone as she’s also pretty good friends with Florence. Agnes is evidently one of those very charming people that everyone seems to know and also seems to genuinely like…. doesn’t it make you sick?!

Nah, kidding, Agnes is a delight and so I’m really not surprised that she has such an extensive array of friends.

Meanwhile, home is a little bit depressing.

Agnes invites Syrah over that evening.

These two have always been close and now as teens I’m just seeing what happens for them.

Never mind that I have their whole lives planned out in my mind so this all seems to be working pretty well, thanks!!

Another day, another gym session. Vihaan just cannot shift weight for some reason?! Walter is big built but when you look at him it’s muscle, but Vihaan just cannot shift that final bit around the middle.

Anyway, I took great pleasure with Sofia’s struggles.

That evening it’s time for Agnes to experience her first Mount Komorebi festival as a teenager. It looks beautiful doesn’t it! I love this neighbourhood!

And look, the Morgan’s house. They’re lucky to have this on their doorstep. I can’t wait to play them again!

But I digress. Cliff and Chiara are also here on a date which was really nice, and I got this arty shot of Cliff dancing.

Meanwhile we do all the touristy things.

Umm, how much does that colour suit Chiara?!

I love this sim.

Agnes also buys a dress, leaves a note on the tree and then it’s time to head home.

Where Sofia is feeling a little bit sorry for herself. Sofia, honey, maybe don’t offload your life problems to your teenage daughter?

Anyway, it’s the weekend so the family head back to Mount Komorebi for Agnes to work on her aspiration. We drag a few others with us too.

Some flirts were had…

…hands were held…

…squee! These two are so cute! And I’m so happy they’ve taken this direction! And look at that view!

Yes, can you tell I was very happy playing this.

Agnes goes to take a dip in the lake as part of her aspiration.

Although I forgot it was winter, so the couple nearly freeze to death. The warm each other up interaction is so cute! Funnily enough Syrah doesn’t hang around after this.

But we have limited time left anyway and are home just in time to do the new years countdown.

Sofia is apparently very tired (well she has been sleeping on the sofa since Winterfest) but that’s fine. This is her final moment as a played sim, she will move back in with her family for the next rotation.

But that’s all the Oasis Springs Society we have for now. Join us next time for the Coopers in Oasis Springs. When we see the Chandran’s again we’ll be exploring Vihaan and Agnes’ new life. What will they get up to now it’s just the two of them? Well, we’ll just have to see won’t we! Except I played ahead and it’s pretty good so you know, kind of undramatic cliffhanger there… Until next time!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 2 – Winter – Morgan

It’s time for more Oasis Springs Society! We’ve made it to winter with our first family, the Morgan’s.

Last update, Ishaan died of old age after just getting his marriage with Kirby back on track. Walter had grown quite close to Florence Cooper and are going steady and our lovely Kirby Morgan topped the medical career track.

Let’s see what happens this season shall we!

Oasis Springs always seems so warm and vibrant, but winter and the feeling of melancholy on the lot just makes it feel so grey.

And even though Ishaan was never very noisy and kept himself to himself, the place just feels very quiet.

Walter and Kirby share a hug.

It’s a Sunday, and Kirby doesn’t have work, so the pair ease in to the day in front of the sofa.

Walter: “you know mum, we don’t have to stay here. I know you love Oasis Springs, but maybe it’s time for a change?”

Kirby looks like she’s seriously considering this, the house is small and the family has outgrown it… maybe it’s time for a new adventure.

But first, we stop off at the flea market to listen to a street performer as invited by Vihaan. Kirby and Walter also buy an armchair.

Which ends up being perfect for their new life in Mount Komorebi!

Yep, I thought this would really suit the mother and son pair. Walter loves being active so should really enjoy skiing and snowboarding, and I figure Kirby would really enjoy the slower pace here as a contrast to her medical career.

However she certainly mourns Ishaan on free will a lot more here.

Kirby: “why did he have to die?! Why?!?!!!!”

Trevon: “umm…. Hi? We’re the welcome wagon…. Can we come in?”

But no, the mourning continues.

In fact, Kirby gets herself in such a rut, she has to go cry it out in bed.

Whilst Walter tried some sushi.

This whole place really is beautiful. Look at that landscape Walter has the joy of this view during his run. Although the poor mail lady has quite a walk!

Mail Lady: “Yeah and this is after I’ve delivered the post.”

We then go and try a relaxing onsen as I really think this will help Kirby to chill out.

See, she looks happier already!

In fact, she had so much fun that she decided to get out and dance in her swim suit. I don’t think that’s the done thing culturally, but what do I know…

At least she’s becoming more of the Kirby Morgan we already know and love again!

We then go and try some skiing and snowboarding. I briefly consider whether my game is in the middle of spontaneously imploding as I seem to have invisible snowboarders…

Kirby and Walter decide to not let a little thing like that put them off, and they hit the slopes.

Evidently Walter does much better than this guy who ended up on his butt.

Kirby is a little more tentative, but also does well.

Teenagers… can’t resist a selfie.

Walter: “what should I caption this? Mount Komorebi gains?”

Meanwhile, Kirby eats some sushi. Aaah, this place is so peaceful, even I’m relaxed!

And it’s Walter’s first day at his new school. Squee! He’s so cute! He took a vacation day yesterday to do touristy things with Kirby, so back to getting those grades today!

Meanwhile, Kirby depresses herself further. Flaming llama doody Kirby, do I have to hide this urn?!

Some sims like to get water, or coffee.. or if you’re Johnny Zest go on the waterslide repeatedly on free will.. but not my Kirby, she just wants to cry over her late husband.

Walter brings Florence back after school and she is raging about something. Both he and I know that the evening is never going to end well when Florence is in one of these moods so he sends her home.

Florence: “what part of you moved to the other end of the known sim world and didn’t tell me do you not understand?!”

Space Squid: “Oooh, dramas” *side eye*

Anyway, it’s time for Winterfest and to feel a bit more positive. We’re going for a very family oriented Winterfest as I figure that is what Kirby would want. Agnes is so adorable!

Ah, the whole family is here. Walter and Vihaan still have the best sibling bond!

Yes, Sofia did come but decided to wait outside. That’s fine Sofia, give me more reasons to hate you.

They all take part in decorating the tree.

And then it’s time for opening presents. Actually, everyone was very happy with their presents this year. I didn’t have a single negative reaction. Of course, Agnes as the current baby of the family was the absolute cutest.

I think I’ve mentioned before how umm… overwhelmed Agnes can get. I’m still not sure what the right word is for it. She doesn’t have the gloomy trait or anything like that, but every now and then when socialising with other people she just gets sad, with nothing to provoke it. So she goes to cry in Walter’s bed. This happens quite a lot for her on free will. She’s just a gentle soul, and is probably fairly introverted. I don’t control this part of her personality at all so it’s really sweet in a way, to see that she will often need some time out to decompress.

But she’s back to the fun of it in no time. Aaah, now this is a family winterfest. Cooking a big dinner, cousins gossiping, someone holding a big lump of clay… brings a tear to my eye.

Squee! So adorable!

Agnes then goes to sit on Kirby’s bed for a bit for some more alone time.

Whilst Walter has a quick workout. Clara finds something hilarious apparently, umm.. no one invited you Clara.

Anywho, whilst Winterfest continued on without a hitch inside.. I was about to slowly lose my mind…

Because suddenly, my game developed a really interesting glitch. I sent Vihaan, Sofia and Agnes home, but they wouldn’t go anywhere. Sofia went to jump in some trash and I think Vihaan actually got in to bed to go to sleep. Infuriatingly, the ‘send home’ interaction was no longer available either. And I got the impression I would just have to wait this out.

So cute! It seems like ages ago when Walter was a toddler, asking Father Winter for a present.

Anyway, I’m also keeping an eye on the extended branch of the family who I can’t control in any way. Real classy Sofia, touch up your husband in a trash pile. How unexpected of you…

Agnes has decided she’s staying for the long-haul and goes to sleep for the night in Kirby’s bed.

The early hours come round and Agnes does her homework, whilst Sofia, who has been up all night generally making a nuisance of herself in the house, falls asleep at the table. There is still no option to send them home.

As if this place can’t get more cursed, this is the first time Ishaan has come out to haunt.

Honestly, every appliance of ours was haunted and therefore broke that night. Ishaan was evidently pissed about something. In the end I stopped repairing and replacing things because I was just wasting ridiculous amounts of time and money.

When morning broke, there was an eery calmness about the place. Ishaan had gone back to his cosy yet thankfully eternal urn. We still had our three unwelcome houseguests. But the thick snow and quiet of the street just makes it look so warm and inviting.

Logan comes round for a bit. These two are still the best of friends which is lovely.

Afterwards, Vihaan decides to tutor Walter doing his homework.

I really am starting to wonder how I’m going to get rid of the Chandrans. I think it’s been at least two if not three days now and they are still here. I figure they must leave eventually if they have to go and do something…

So I decide for us to go and do something instead. Little did I realise, but Kirby invited the girls out when it was actually a Mount Komorebi blizzard. Nancy, who is used to the boiling weather of Oasis Springs seems a little confused.

Chiara: “How magical! Frozen earth water!”

I quickly realise this is a pretty sweet little bar!

It’s also ladies night, so the men are significantly outnumbered. Not that anybody on this table seems to mind.

Party on the top, business on the sides back there can dance as close as he likes to the girls, I really don’t see them being bothered in the slightest!

We also play some cards. Kirby has an epic poker face don’t you think? I actually really love this little room, the lanterns, the card table… it has such an atmosphere. I still love these girls so much. They’re a great group of friends, but also really unique in their own way. I think it just shows that I still really enjoy and look forward to playing them because of their variety.

Hey, even Mimsy has shown up.

Mimsy: “I don’t know Kirby, Cards were improper for women in my time, but maybe I could give it a try…”

We certainly make the most of ladies night. Chiara enjoys a good cocktail anyway and we definitely all already knew that! But even Kirby stayed out late. I think she got home at about 2am.

Anyway, after a lay in to recover from tiredness and umm, probably a cracking headache, Kirby decides her resolution will be to find love.

Trevon seems ok, they get along well. I’m sure he is one of the first people Chiara dated when I started this save. And whilst I don’t see him being with Kirby long-term, he seems sweet.

This resolution was quickly completed and Kirby now has a boyfriend.

Love must be in the air as Walter and Florence also exchange promise rings.

Florence seems to have calmed down at Walter’s sudden move to the back end of nowhere. Even though, you know, Oasis Springs seems to be its own special ‘back end’ of nowhere… go figure.

Anyway, it’s the Festival of Snow and time to do touristy things.. even though we like, live here. But whatever! Kirby has gone all out with the outfit and Yamachan selfies. Walter however is happy to just eat food and snowboard.

Although he doesn’t look as graceful as he did last time…

That evening he decides to invite his friends over for New Years. Kirby is absolutely beat and spent it in bed.

But the guys seemed to have a good time playing video games until the count down.

Walter then hugs Logan as his best friend. So cute!

But that’s it for now for the Morgans. I’ve really enjoyed starting to explore Mount Komorebi with them, and I’m liking the different, more peaceful way of life there which I think definitely suits Kirby.

Next time, I’m sure Walter will be due to age up to adult, what will he go on to do? How will things progress with Tevon and Kirby? For once I haven’t actually planned or played ahead to have any big ideas for anyone!

Join us next time for the Chandrans in San Myshuno, see you then!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 2 – Fall – Evaristo

Hello to you all and welcome to more Oasis Springs Society. This time we’re with the Evaristos. You may remember last time was very stressful for me (to put it tactfully) as Quartz was one of the most time consuming and demanding babies and toddlers I think I’ve ever had. So much so Cliff quit his job and decided to write novels from home.

Then, I had Chiara who needed what felt like 700 million gold parties for her aspiration – and do you think it would go to plan?! Well the answer is no, it was a backbreaking force of labour to achieve. Which eventually paid off and Chiara completed party animal (I’m dreading redoing it for Logan Cooper I’ll tell you now).

And then little Syrah ticked over nicely and was generally ignored by all – sorry, little guy!

We start the rotation with Cliff trying to get some rest, Quartz however does not get the hint and would prefer to follow him everywhere.

Still, Quartz’s nonsense won’t last much longer – as it’s her birthday! Thank the shining green plumbobs for that! It’s been a long toddlerhood. To celebrate Quartz becoming a kid and being a little less needy, she gets a hug from her big brother. Take a long hard look everyone because I fear this is the last time these two will be close ever again.

Ah, it’s so nice to throw a party because I want to, instead of being marked on it! Although seeing the whole gang back in this house gives me a slight nervous twitch… I had decided I was going to hold all the power here, and I turned party scoring off. I must say it was quite liberating!

Florence: “pfft! You might have scoring off but this is a total dud!”

Umm, like, shut up? You literally just got here!

Ah yes, everyone’s socialising, everyone’s having a great time!

Until suddenly….. it’s time to blow out the candles….

Vihaan: “Congratulations you little rascal!”

Bless Vihaan, he’s the most wholesome guy. And has turned in to one of my marked favourites! Meanwhile, as Cliff just sits there…

Chiara: *crying uncontrollably* “waaaaah! My kid, who isn’t even my kid, just rolled evil!!! What have I done to deserve this?!”

*cricket chirps*

Yes, Quartz Evaristo, devil spawn of Cliff and Pollination Technician number whatever has rolled evil. Ah man. I had a really funny suspicion this would happen after how difficult she was as a baby and toddler. You guys know by now I randomise all my traits… so this was written in the stars evidently.

Everyone moving swiftly out it seems after this shock horror.

Cliff: “well, if I leave now I can be in Simexico by morning break”

Vihaan: “aww, what a sweet little girl! Look Agnes, a friend”

Umm, Vihaan… there’s being a sweetheart and then there’s just being gullible!

Anyway, I figured I’d stand back and watch as my newly evil alien meets my mean as a rattlesnake teenager, Florence Cooper.

Amazingly nothing happened. The pair just looked at each other vacantly and just left each other alone. Hmm, maybe the town is big enough for the both of them?

Both kids now at school, these two don’t have to run around organising the never ending chaos. Chiara’s work task is to do some writing, and I’m determined to get Cliff to finish another book – so we go for some wholesome couples time to the library.

Although Chiara also has to try some bubble blower flavours for work so after a morning of culture, we hit Maison Bargeila.

What is it with sims and the bubble blower? They instantly complain when someone uses one as if it’s distasteful? Ladies, your ancestors in sims 2 would have fought over this thing!

Meanwhile, Quartz can seemingly do no wrong and that’s partly because she is always misbehaving on free will! So I don’t always have opportunity to discipline her. Syrah keeps himself out of the way most of the time, which is sad really.

Speaking of ‘out of the way’, Chiara decides she would rather go and watch Sofia busk than spend another moment with the kids. Sofia is really pleading poverty with that guitar!

Sofia: “umm, it’s all about the image I give off?!”

Syrah: “lum te tum! Did you have a nice day at work dear? I was listening to a very insightful piece on the radio about -“

Quartz: “foolish human doll I will crush you like a bug!”

Whatever her name is: “Hi jerks can you keep the noise down or something?!”

What was happening when she complained about the noise. *tumbleweed*

Thankfully, Chiara is no shrinking violet and tells her neighbour where to go.

Chiara celebrates this with a juice.

That day she has to make 3 gourmet meals for her job. Look how proud she looks. I felt it only right that I get a photo.

I also decide to let the couple blow off some steam at geek-con. I don’t normally send sims to this but I figured why not. It gets them out of the house!

And there’s something about playing video games against Father Winter who is dressed as a superhero that makes this so appealing.

Father Winter: “you know Cliff, it’s exhausting when people recognise you everywhere you go! Like how many of these guys even know my name?! It’s nice to be able to blend in!”

Umm, blend in in a costume? Ok.

Robot: “FIVE TIMES SEVEN IS THIRTY FIVE BEEP”

Quartz: “ugh! Boring human toys! Why will it not say something that would fill my heart with glee?! Something like death to humans?!”

Cliff: “now Syrah what have I said about making a mess?! It’s naughty and you should clean up!”

Syrah: “but daaad! I was just stood here! Quartz did it!” (He’s telling the truth and was literally in the wrong place, wrong time)

Cliff: “now Syrah I won’t have you tell lies about your sister!”

And then they hug. Damnit! Quartz truly is evil and has negative relationship with pretty much everyone. Well, except her daddy of course.

Still, if you’re like me and have had enough of alien psychological war-fare, a spot of brunch does the trick. Kirby and Chiara head out to the bistro in Willow Creek – I don’t think I will tire of that view!

And hey, Rocco is here with his family too!

Logan: “umm, I’m totally not following my boyfriend!”

Sure, sweetie. But you’re not exactly dining with him either, are you?

The girls have a nice lunch regardless. Nancy was invited but left quite early on for some reason.

That evening, Logan comes round. Mainly so he can properly meet Quartz to be able to add her to the kids group. Which is fine, but all she did was insult him and glare whilst Syrah did the schmoozing.

Chiara: “sweet alien deity do I need a drink!”

You and me both! As she’s pouring this she’s thinking about parties by the way. hahahahahaa – no.

Anyway, it’s Harvestfest and the kids’ relationship has really taken a nosedive. Quartz cannot be punished and has argued and insulted her relationship with Syrah to smithereens. In fact, he actually has the ‘deeply hurt’ sentiment from her so whenever they’re together Syrah is always horrifically unhappy which is then worsened by his gloomy trait.

So Syrah often takes himself to bed to go and cry, or hide in the closet.

Sweet Llama, why do I feel that these two are going to be two of the most maladjusted sims I’ve had so far?

And why did no one tell me that our neighbour sells voodoo dolls? Maybe Chiara should have toned it down earlier?

Anyway, maybe getting out the house will help this family unit start to get along again, and it’s time for a birthday party. These two have heard that kids parties on earth are normally held at fun places like the park, or in this instance – the swimming pool… instead of being held in a lava filled crater like what they’re used to on their home planet. What? That’s what they told me, I just document it all.

Cliff and Chiara are the first to dance.

Whilst Quartz decides to get straight in the pool. She actually really enjoyed swimming which I wasn’t expecting from her. Maybe this could be some form of *cough* emotional outlet.

(and look at that water by the way! It just makes me want to get in too!)

Still, it’s not long before Vihaan and Johnny join in. If there’s dancing going on – these two are on it!

I’m keeping an eye on Quartz in the pool and she just evilly cackles? What have I let myself in for? Truly?! I have never heard of a villain laughing with glee to themselves in a pool either.

Some semblance of normality resumes. Everyone is chatting or dancing and getting along as usual for the Oasis Springs Society.

As I said, this girl really likes swimming.

Anyway, the reason why we’re here is to celebrate Syrah growing up.

I never realised that this room was kept locked to make it seem like a private function room. I thought that was pretty neat. Everyone is here to cheer him on.

Look, even Florence is getting involved. But where could Quartz be? I didn’t expect her to be cheering on her brother, but at least coming upstairs would be nice.

But Quartz isn’t nice. And here she is beating 10 ton of crap out of the Villareal boy.

Sweet alien plumbob, Quartz. Aren’t you like, seven? I have no single clue what started this but they absolutely despise each other which is just great. Quartz’ alien mother has a lot to answer for with the personality she passed down to her offspring as she certainly doesn’t get this from Cliff.

Back to the party, I can’t believe I didn’t get Syrah’s eyes open in this! Syrah already had the gloomy trait, and interestingly he rolled art lover and Mansion Baron for his aspiration. I’ve never played this one through before so see, this is fun already! It also completely makes sense that the older child, who hates every waking moment at home because his sister acts like a complete rear-end, would want to move out and create a home that is beyond his wildest dreams.

Syrah, I already have big plans for you, kid.

The next day is absolutely chucking it down and Chiara has to paint a mural. Even she gives up as she gets completely soaked through. Cliff decides to come out for support and chat to Sofia, but you can also tell how boring he finds her.

So we call today a write-off and stay indoors. Syrah brings Logan home from school with him today which is nice.

Although he then bursts in to tears.

Logan: “Why does nobody like me?!”

I’m getting a bit down with all the misery in this place. Can you lighten up a little in here?!

Ah, I see… so Quartz has insulted both Syrah and Logan and in victory has gone to go and troll the forums.

Quartz: “Dear LoserSimmer51, your post was the biggest load of doody I’ve ever had to read. I wouldn’t be surprised if you actually had a llama head, as you’re as stupid as one and twice as ugly.”

Ouch.

It shows Quartz really is vicious as Syrah had to go and give himself a pep talk in the mirror after what she said to him. Geez, this family is falling apart.

Syrah: “Now you listen to me, man. She’s your little sister, the next time she tries saying stuff like that to you, I’ve got a great comeback, you’re going to look her in the cold, dead eyes and say-“

We decide to spend Saturday at the bar in Windenburg. I love this place! The weather is absolutely awful, but for a minute there it also looks like some vague semblance of normal family life. I mean, normal for aliens who decide to take their young children to bars. What?! They have games there, if anything taking your kids is probably encouraged!

The wider group of friends also decides to come along and join in. I’m just going to keep this photo as a record that Quartz can play nice.

Agnes: “I won! Did everyone see?! I won!”

Quartz is less than happy with this and lets out words that would make a sailor blush.

Meanwhile, everyone else seems to be having a great time.

And for some reason we’re even celebrating something?! I don’t know what, they just decided to do this. Cute really.

Afterwards, we head out to the love festival and Cliff can’t help but ask the guru if he’s compatible with Chiara. Well, it’s been long enough to find out by now, and the way they’re always all over each other at other people’s parties is also telling.

I can’t remember exactly what the guru said (I’m an idiot and should really write it down), but I’m sure it was something about the toaster. Did I dream that? Whatever it was, it seemed to make perfect sense to Cliff.

Whilst the adults were out drinking punch, the kids were also having a blast at the karaoke bar across the square. I’m not sure whether that’s wholly appropriate, but hey, they can have some breadsticks and fruit juice.

Bartender: “Hey, if I turn my head to the side like this, I don’t even have to acknowledge how young you kids are”

Atta’guy! Anyway, that’s about all the Oasis Springs Society that’s fit to print right now. Come and provide moral support for me next time, as I continue to deal with raising Quartz, and also trying to appease Syrah until adulthood when he can get the hell out of the family home. Next time we’ll have Winter with the Morgans, see you then!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 2 – Fall – Chandran

Welcome to more Oasis Springs Society. We’re back with the Chandrans. Last time, Agnes grew up to a beautiful child and rolled the bookworm trait. She formed a really close bond with dad, Vihaan and they have a great relationship. The same can’t be said for Sofia who barely acknowledges Agnes’ existence and would rather chase fame through writing music and performing, and chasing the neighbour Raj Rasoya.

On a side note, last update for the Morgans, Ishaan sadly passed away of old age so I’m wondering how the family will feel about that having lost a father and grandfather.

Agnes has obviously just come back from the hospital (see last rotation for the Morgans where she was Kirby’s most frequent patient) and sees her first snow. Umm, Agnes honey – maybe that’s why you keep needing to go to the hospital, hypothermia and pneumonia. Get some shoes on and get inside.

Meanwhile, Sofia just spends her days playing the guitar, trying to write music. She takes no notice of what anyone else in the family is doing. Sad, really.

Oh well, Agnes has epic family members on her paternal side. Walter comes over and he’s still extremely sad from Ishaan’s passing so Agnes tries to cheer him up.

Excuse our filthy sink.

Meanwhile, every weekday whilst Agnes is at school, Vihaan has got himself in to the habit of going to the gym before starting work. We’re not quite seeing the results of it just yet, but give it time.

Although maybe coming home and shoving several cocktails down your neck doesn’t help with the weight loss journey, Vihaan?

Vihaan: “My passion for mixology gets me through the day…”

Like father, like son.

Oh but it’s time to celebrate as it’s Vihaan’s birthday to adulthood. We organise a party in the San Myshuno rooftop bar. Sofia seems to be content in providing all the entertainment.

It’s quite weird as I really dislike Sofia, but Elsa seems quite a sweetheart now she’s grown up. Remember when she used to give Kirby grief at the hospital when she was a kid? Ha, those were the days.

Anyone going to come and watch the birthday boy? Anybody? No?

Sorry Vihaan. I’m watching you, *pats*.

Kirby: “Hang on a sec! I’m just trying to work out how to use this camera so I can remember Sofia embarrassing herself forever”

Oh yes, Sofia certainly did provide the entertainment. It might not look like it but people were raging that she nude dived in to the pool. Surprisingly to all of us, Sofia did actually feel embarrassment. I can’t help but feel that maybe someone who is used to making herself the centre of attention would feel pride instead?

Vihaan: “Well done for putting some clothes on now sweetie!”

The bartender looks less happy about this.

Back at home, sweet little Agnes heads off to school.

Vihaan: “Bye my angel! Have a wonderful day!” *waves*

So wholesome, when you don’t realise that the chair is perfectly blocking the cocktail that Vihaan is drinking at the table. Sigh.

Anyway, Sofia decides to join Vihaan at the gym today. Maybe she heard about the pretty lady he met last update. Hilariously, she doesn’t take quite so easily to exercise as Vihaan does.

Sofia: “Umm! Lyk this is totally hard and stuff! I was meant to be a celebrity!”

After some more general whining I can’t help but think that Sofia would be a wonderful friend for Bella Goth.

Sigh, Sofia continues to ‘get to know’ the neighbours. Her fling with Raj continues whilst Vihaan is at work.

In more wholesome news, Agnes brings Syrah home from school with her today. Even though he proceeds to throw paint on the floor. Syrah was in a really bad mood and just wanted to argue anyway, so we quickly sent him home before the relationship bar took too much of a hit.

Ah man, this line of the family is just so amazing. Vihaan, Walter and Agnes are always hugging and spending time as a family. Walter really loves Agnes in the same way Vihaan used to really enjoy Walter’s company when he was a kid. I don’t have Growing Together yet but I am so pleased to have a pack more centred around all of these family dynamics. However, I feel a bit torn as I’d hate to get it and then the pack overrides their relationships and all of a sudden they have distant or difficult relationships? But I digress. I’m sure I’ll get it eventually as it’s entirely my play-style.

San Myshuno can have some really rubbish weather. I think it’s rained the whole season so far, which certainly makes it more difficult to go out and have fun. Note Walter passing by there for a jog in the dark blue.

Not that Agnes seems to mind, it’s Harvestfest and she actually managed to make the gnome happy.

Unlike Vihaan, who royally pissed his off. The family suffered the consequences for the rest of the day. Seriously, these gnomes meant business. We had every tap, toilet and shower break several times. Then had to call the landlord because the fuse board went (and I didn’t feel like sacrificing Sofia to fix it) and countless puddles of water.

But we didn’t let that dampen our Harvestfest spirit. *squee* these two are so sweet.

So, we invite the family round. Both sides, the Morgans and the Bjergsens.

In fact, everyone seems to be getting on really well. Look at Kirby chatting with Sofia there!

Vihaan: “Please excuse the gnomes trying to murder us, everyone… I’m just finishing off the dinner :)”

We made tofurkey on account of Walter’s vegetarianism. And everyone is called to come and eat.

You may already have thought that everyone was already at the table, but no. Bjorn and Clara were being snobs outside and refusing to even go in the flat. Come on guys, your daughter married in to this family so check your pride and get on with it.

Bjorn seems like an alright guy actually, most of my playables like him. He has a good relationship with Vihaan and other members of the ‘society’ so yeah, he’s pretty decent. Plus Agnes was very happy to see her other grandpa and they greeted each other with this really nice hug (cute!!).

Anyway, Harvestfest from hell almost over, it wouldn’t quite be all done and dusted until the gnomes reduced Sofia to a smouldering wreck.

Sofia: “Oh man! This is so going to damage my hair!”

No, please. Keep going, I’ve even got snacks.

Sadly, Sofia didn’t turn in to charcoal, and life goes on. Speaking of which, the next day it’s time for another social event, a house party. For some reason, Raj thinks it’s appropriate to say he can hear us having a great party and asks to come in. Because Vihaan is like a puppy of course he obliged, these two are actually good friends. Well, I suppose they do have a lot in common… *cough, giggle, snort*.

Sofia: “Ah, crud.”

Vihaan and Johnny are such good friends. Remember when Vihaan was a teen and they hated each other?! Well, they’ve certainly let bygones be bygones and now greet each other with fist bumps. I can totally see that being something that Johnny initiated, as he probably thinks he’s the coolest guy.

Meanwhile, I can feel the tensions burst through Raj’s eyeballs. Calm it, you two.

Still, the party is underway. Would it be one of my parties without a public display of affection from Chiara and Cliff?!

Pfft, aliens – so touchy.

Anyway, everyone had a nice time. Dancing was done, discussions were had, yada yada.

The next night, Kirby comes round as a baby sitter for Agnes after she’s home from school. Sofia works until 11pm and Vihaan until midnight so it just makes me feel happier knowing Agnes isn’t alone. Look at Kirby tucking her in. So adorable.

The final day of the rotation is raining again, but I’m sick of being stuck inside the house. So we go for some karaoke.

Sofia: “Right, I have a glass of wine to get me through this, so lets go”

Agnes and Walter are already inside chatting about something or other.

But it seems they’re having a better time than Sofia who seems in physical pain with Vihaan’s singing.

Poor girl, I think I’ll leave it there and leave her like that until the next update. Next time with the Chandran’s we should have Agnes’ birthday, but coming up first, Fall with the Coopers! I’ll see you there – until next time!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 2 – Fall – Cooper

Welcome back to the Oasis Springs Society where we are joining the Coopers for fall. Last time Johnny carried on working at his joke star ambition and comedy career, whilst Nancy has completed her gardening aspiration but is slogging away with the logic skill to top the career track.

Our loveable first born, Logan, met Rocco McRae at school and instantly hit it off – only to get cross that Rocco is an alien. If you remember, I sorted that out by the end of the update and the pair are now dating so it can’t have been that much of an issue – pfft, Logan – so dramatic.

Florence also grew up and developed some bizarre tension with Walter Morgan, one minute wanting a relationship, the next hating Walter’s guts.

But, we carry on. Because carrying on builds character or something – just kidding! I absolutely love this family. So here goes.

Florence starts the rotation absolutely raging as she was dumb enough to eat the cow plant’s cake. Although she then wanted to go and collect the elixir, so over she goes.

Meanwhile, these two are still the closest lovebirds. When I play my other families in the rotation Nancy always rings to discuss having another baby, sometimes she rings once a day! I always say no as I like my population as it is, thanks. But I have to consider what the viable solution is for a couple who seemingly have so much *ahem* love, to give.

So I did what couples do when they’re about to become empty-nesters and realise they’re not ready for this – I got a dog!

Meet Sam. He looks like some sort of whippet / greyhound. I chose a medium size dog due to the size of the house and I think a small dog would just be lost in our kitchen or garden.

Everybody instantly voices their love for Sam. So in my typical fashion I think “this’ll do” and we decide to keep him. Welcome to the fun bunch, Sam!

And what a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than to go to the dog park in Brindleton Bay. Florence seems more concerned with grossing out her date meanwhile Rocco goes straight in with the public displays of affection.

Must be an alien thing as we all know that Cliff and Chiara can’t keep their hands off each other in public either.

We do have a quick try at the obstacle course however, which seems quite painful for Logan. He obviously doesn’t have much patience.

Squee! Sam is just the cutest thing. Be prepared for lots of pictures of him this update with zero context or relevance.

That night, Walter shows up unannounced to speak with Florence who actually acts shy! Good god, there’s a first! These two actually seem a bit more interested in each other now.

Oh man, so cute!

Johnny decides to make the most of an empty house by practising his comedy routines again. He actually felt burnout over this and said his material now feels “over rehearsed”. Ok Johnny, I’ll stick to the so-called comedy.

Still, we needn’t worry about that. The girls decide to go out for a drink at the bar in Brindleton Bay.

I figure it would be a nice way of getting Kirby out of the house. Whenever she’s invited somewhere she always turns up sad. But this time, it was just like old times and they had a great time socialising and catching up. In true Oasis Springs Society fashion, Chiara was also the first to the bar!

Back at home, it’s a relatively hot fall day (I love the climate of Oasis Springs!) so we go for some barbecue.

Florence has quite a good relationship with Nancy, but that also doesn’t stop her from looking like she wants to fight at any given moment. Would you cross this girl and her plate of ribs? Well then you are a braver soul than I!

Inside, Logan is really getting to grips with training Sam which is nice and he’s been able to teach him a lot of commands.

Johnny: “umm, son, can you get the dog out of the way?! I want to go back on the water slide!”

Yes, it’s true – if you’re looking for Johnny 99% of the time he’s on the shark water slide. He is really a big kid!

The other 1% of the time…. No wait! That’s not Johnny and Nancy… but it is their bed..

Gracious Plumbob boys! Have you no shame?! Logan that’s your parents’ bed!

These two however couldn’t care less as they exchange promise rings.

And celebrate by yelling out some manly cheers…

So adorable. Sam spam – I’m sorry!

It’s also been really nice to see Sam’s likes and dislikes. He has an irrational fear of the computer and also the bathtub.

Sam, there’s nothing to worry about, I’d be more scared of Johnny nude in the tub!

I then realise it’s been a while since I work on aspirations. So Florence decides to argue with this passer-by until she is disliked by him. Tick! That was only too easy.

Although he did then go in the house, help himself to snacks, then say he’s had a great time but has to go now. *eyeroll* sims, I don’t understands em, I just breeds em.

Walter is still head over heels with Florence. And it seems she’s actually starting to warm to him too as the pair get their first kiss.

And in other good news, this is what we’ve been waiting for. Johnny has finally maxed his comedy skill and so we have completed Joke Star! Johnny now has the ‘hilarious’ reward trait which he already thought he was anyway, but I guess this just confirms it.

The girls continue to make the most of the nice weather and I figure it also gets Sam out of the house so we go to the park.

I really try and send the girls out to do things I think they would like to do. So for Nancy she often goes to parks etc with friends as she’s very outdoorsy. Chiara being a foodie – it makes sense for her to go to restaurants and festivals. Kirby likes a bit of everything so I try and do a bit of a mix.

Chiara: “Umm. I’ve never seen such a creature. What is this thing?”

Chiara honey, that’s Sam. He’s a dog.

Anyway, Chiara soon gets used to this new earth life form and realises that it’s just entirely harmless. She gives Nancy a game of chess as we are still trying to max the logic skill – and every little helps!

I realise we’ve not seen a lot of Vihaan this chapter. So we host a dinner party. Once again, I did invite Sofia, but she was a no show. I have a few suspicions as to why, but I don’t entertain the gossip.. all of my sims stories are the most factual of reporting *cough*.

And of course, with Vihaan and Johnny being great friends, the evening just develops in to them talking at the table and generally goofing around.

Well, Sofia may not have shown up, but her dad is here to rummage through our garbage. Ok Bjorn, whatever. I won’t tell Clara if you don’t.

And the next day is Harvestfest! Of course Florence is able to appease the grim reaper gnome!

Although thank the stars that she appeased him before Sam came over and peed on him.

Florence: “Ah Sam! Bad dog! This reaper gnome thought I was cool!”

Ahem, speaking of cool… Logan can’t help but flex at the breakfast table.

Logan: “I’m just getting those Harvestfest selfies! I have to send one to Rocco as he’s really liking how my progress is coming on…”

Umm.. sure.

Honestly most days this place feels overrun with teenagers. If Rocco isn’t round then Walter is. It’s becoming exhausting to have 2 sims each with boyfriends who drop by when they feel like it.

Walter comes round to see Florence for Harvestfest but only stays a couple of hours as Florence started to get sick.

She is however, finally able to build some relationship with her own dad. It’s true, the pair had next to no relationship bar at all! They were completely indifferent to each other and I think it’s from where Florence used to be mean to Johnny as a kid. They were actually able to hold a pleasant conversation!

To celebrate, Johnny took a spin on the shark slide. I know I’ve said it before, but I really love how warm Oasis Springs is to be able to do this most of the year. I get sick of rain and bleak days in other neighbourhoods.

And there we have it! Praise be to Plumbob! This may look like an inconspicuous photo of Nancy tending to her garden… but it is in fact a very special photo… because beside Camilla’s corpse, Nancy got promoted to the top of the gardening career. That’s right – she finally maxed logic. I may now feel like Camilla the cow plant. Remind me to never, ever have another gardener sim.

To celebrate, the girls go on an outing to the museum in Brindleton Bay. Look at them all discussing art and things. Squee! I love them all!

Sweetest photo ever!

Although some townie then came along and started being really mean to Sam and by the time Nancy got out there to have words she had gone.

Not that Sam minds, he is the goodest boy!

Anyway, Logan’s aspiration is the party one. Good god, after the backbreaking agony it was for me to complete that with Chiara…. anyway, you know I roll for my sims’ traits and aspirations so unfortunately I just need to get on with it…

And here I am getting on with it. Logan hosts his first party. It was a relatively small gathering of teens, Johnny was at work and Nancy stayed out of the way or in the garden.

We only had to get silver for this one which we were able to do no problem. Our lovely Walter really did have a good time, bless him!

The next day the family goes out to the dog park again. I’m determined to get Logan to improve Sam’s training. He did do better this time although I didn’t realise Sam was that filthy! How embarrassing! I even bathed him that morning!

It’s not as if anyone is watching though, as Florence has joined this chess match… which then descended in to an argument and now they hate each other. It seems like chess drama draws in all the weirdos in this hood, and they’ve all come over to see what’s going on. Bjorn Bjergsen gets everywhere doesn’t he?!

Bjorn: “It’s that or being home with the ball and chain… am I right?!”

Eesh, men. Eagle eyed readers will also spot Chiara there who cannot be away from the drama.

Back at home, Johnny is on his 4th or 5th coffee of the day. Seriously, all he does is go on the water slide or brew coffee. It’s a good job that this isn’t like sims 2 where ghosts would haunt the item they used most before their death… or I would have a forever haunted coffee pot or a water slide.

I never realised that the Cooper’s had such an interesting view at night from their living room!

Saturday night means that the kids have their significant others round for some time together. Both relationships have really blossomed this rotation. I didn’t expect anything less for Logan and Rocco, but I am surprised that Florence and Walter have got so close. I’m really not sure what direction to take them in.. but I’m sure things will happen in game to shape that, like they always do!

But that’s all we have time for with the Coopers today which is partly a relief as I’m sure I will slowly go insane completing more social events for Logan’s aspiration and making enemies for Florence’s… kids these days! Whatever happened to being satisfied with the jungle gym? Our next rotation will be with the Evaristo’s, and boy is it good. Join us next time!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 2 – Fall – Morgan

Welcome back to the Oasis Springs Society. Fall has started and we are back with our first household of the rotation. The Morgans. This update feels relatively short compared to the crap I usually bang on about… ahem, I mean – weighty tomes I usually write. But it’s a bit of a sad update for reasons that will soon become clear.

Last time, Kirby carried on with her medical career (very slowly no thanks to me), Ishaan and Kirby reconciled and started rebuilding their relationship. And our lovely Walter grew up to a teenager who wants nothing more than to be a bodybuilder.

Bless Kirby, her ‘good’ trait means she wants to go and do some volunteering. Everyone else in the household had their own stuff to be getting on with, so she goes on her own.

Whilst Vihaan stops by for a chat with his brother. These two are still the closest of friends which is really nice to see. There is a definite link between the families which is really touching.

However, Vihaan coming round wasn’t part of Walter’s plans. He was actually waiting for Florence. These two are quite funny together in terms of blowing hot and cold. One minute they are very close, the next they’re wanting space or arguing, I think it’s mostly instigated by Florence. I am sure they might actually be a couple by now if she didn’t keep telling Walter to shove it. I don’t see them staying together even though Walter is smitten, but it’s nice to have this bit of a relationship in their teen years.

It also seems that the aliens reward good deeds, as they promptly abducted Kirby. Good God, we have a spaceship right there, does she need to be sucked in to the sky?

Back at work, change is afoot again as we have a new orderly. This guy seems happy in his work but I can’t help but wonder why there’s such a high turnover of staff when Kirby has been there since day 1.

The staff may change, but the patients do not and she’s back to treating Mortimer Goth, again. I’m sure there’s a joke in here somewhere about how often Kirby has had to see this guy… but I’m yet to think of it. Maybe something like:

Mortimer: “Bella always says this will be the last time! Gosh damnit, I think they’re starting to set me up a loyalty card here”

After work we blow off some steam at the gym for Walter’s aspiration. Which turns in to a bit of a reunion in itself. Nice to know that the San Myshuno lot are willing to travel to workout with friends.

As you can see, Walter is very naturally athletic and puts everyone else to shame. But I think it’s cute how lovingly Vihaan is looking over.

We are still plodding along with Ishaan as well by the way, trying to make things work as a family unit.

I think it’s going ok for now, don’t you?

These two have reconciled quite nicely considering last rotation I was sure I would break them up.

Anyway, realising that a social life is also required, the girls go to the little seafood restaurant I built. It was a bit of a weird outing to say the least.

The girls were seated by this guy, who as you can see is extremely pissy.

Then Chiara kept getting up to stretch her legs. But mainly to go outside and watch this couple argue through their whole meal.

Chiara: “Ah! The delights of human interaction! Carry on whilst I observe!”

Chiara: “Yes a delicious meal! But if you excuse me I must go outside in the thunderstorm to observe this fight for a bit longer!”

I’m sure Kirby and Nancy had a great time regardless.

Back at home it’s time for some father, son bonding. Ishaan quietly just reads these days with a drink whilst Walter tries to make conversation.

Kirby carries on plodding through her career. This time, she’s treating Agnes again.

Poor little kid, it seems like she’s always at the hospital with something although step-grandma Kirby to the rescue.

And we celebrate what we have with Harvestfest. I really thought this little guy would want a pie.

Whilst Ishaan prepares a family meal.

I was wrong about the pie. Which meant all day long we had to deal with the gnomes being little sh-1-ts.

Although the rest of Harvestfest was really good, thanks. Look at them all, hugging and socialising. I really do like the mixed generation family style of play. We have two households here who act within the parameters of the family bonds they have been assigned. Don’t get me wrong, I loved family play in Sims 2 as well, but there was nothing worse than heart farting your married-in uncle because the game didn’t recognise him as family. In fact, I did have the same concerns about this save and wondered if Agnes would recognise Walter as family – but fear not, she does 🙂

Speaking of family, whilst I severely dislike Vihaan’s miserable wife, Sofia… I did invite her. She herself chose not to show up. There was no great loss.

Moving swiftly on, Harvestfest is drawn to a close with the happiest of traditions – leaf kicking. Ishaan was having a great time. I think Kirby was getting coffee from the stall.

Walter and Logan are absolute best friends which is really nice to see. It’s been good to have a group of kids grow up together that are able to go through the same life stages.

Logan: “You know, I’m really not bothered if you did want to date Florence… who am I to judge, my boyfriend is an alien.. so you know…”

Umm, ok then?

Awkward conversation is quickly cut short.

Ishaan: “Hey, what’s that over there?”

Kirby: “This? It’s just clay.. I was going to build something…”

Kirby: “Did you want to use it sweetie?”

Umm… Kirby… your denial is showing.

Grim: “You know, I see a lot of grief… but I’ve never seen anyone try to deflect from their emotions with clay. How flakey. Anyway, who do we have here… let me fire up the tablet and check…”

Kirby: “Oh plumbob!”

The sudden realisation that Ishaan was A, not taking a nap and B, didn’t want the clay hits Kirby hard.

Grim: “It’s ok lady, I’ve got plenty of time… this thing has decided to run updates”

This of course caused inevitable delay with Ishaan being sucked in to the afterlife. Walter did come and see what the fuss was about and he did cry.. I just didn’t take photos, because Walter is one of my faves and I don’t think my heart would have taken it.

Bella: “Umm lyk, excuse me!! How rude! I’ve been knocking on that door trying to talk to Kirby for no reason at all for the last hour. I totally thought we were lyk, BFFs… and now she has totally lyk blanked me or something. Well no one disrespects Bella Goth, no way”

Umm, Bella, we’re having a touch of a family emergency in there honey… why don’t you go home and do that thing Mortimer likes with the you-know-what.

Bella: “hmm, neat idea but he’s been cranky since coming back from the hospital for the 7th time this month and he’s told me I’m not allowed to use that any more and certainly not stick it -” *RECORD SCRATCH*

That’s nice dear but I’m stopping you there because kids might read this.

In a touching turn of events, it’s almost like the cosmos knew of Ishaan’s passing as Mimsy rang Kirby and invited her out for dinner if she wanted to talk. I thought that was really nice, and yes they did go out where in my mind Mimsy was explaining to Kirby all about what happens in the sim-afterlife to try and make her a little less sad.

Still, where he stayed in life, he now rests in death. That Ishaan just loved the juice.

Grief however does funny things to sims. For some people, grief causes actual physical symptoms… and poor little Agnes is back at the hospital.

For others, it causes violence.

Just kidding, it’s the town brawl day so everyone is fighting… I just didn’t think they would be so improper to fight in a hospital – but hey, this is the sims!

Umm, orderly, you’re about to get your arse kicked one more time if you don’t remove your hand from Wren’s cleavage.

Wren: “Take it off, before I take it off”

Kirby: “Umm.. excuse me.. I just wanted to let people know that I’ve finished my shift and I’m going home now. *sniff* I completed the medical career today and I am now Chief of Staff *sniff*… I’m going to go home and celebrate the only way I can think how”

By going to the bar of course! Noooo just kidding. Kirby went to go and talk to Ishaan and tell him all about her accomplishment.

Right, ok. Who’s chopping onions?!

Ishaan Chandran… you were a funny sim who lived to be 218 days young 🙂

You went through a bit of a blip with Kirby but deep down I still think you were the right choice for her and I’m glad you reconciled in later years. You were a top dad, you gave us brilliant Walter and even though you moved in with your surprise son, Vihaan – I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Sorry I never completed your master chef aspiration, but I’m sure you can make all the meals you want as a ghost of leisure.

Until next time.
