Welcome back to the Oasis Springs Society. We’re back with the Evaristo’s, who left last season’s chapter with quite the cliffhanger. For you see…
Chiara had continued to work hard on growing her fame and reputation, mainly out of boredom I reckon, coupled with a want to be the centre of attention. The drone seemed to live-stream her whole existence, including the absolutely huge birthday bash that she threw for her birthday to elder and Syrah’s birthday to adulthood. Later on that same evening, Syrah and Cliff were abducted by aliens at exactly the same time and both came back with alien lifeforms implanted in to their lower intestines (if Cliff is to be believed about alien anatomy and physiology). Whilst this is bad enough that both a father and son are pregnant at the same time, it also royally screws up the family tree as both babies would have Senior PT #3 as their mothers, meaning they are both aunt and niece but also half siblings… and they also share that warped relationship with Quartz, who is due to age up to adult this week.
Quartz cannot wait to get out of this house, and Chiara also had her doubts as to how life in this loony bin would fare for her being an adoptive mother again. However, Syrah’s beloved, Agnes Joy, moved out of her household at the end of her rotation and has moved in with the Evaristo’s. I know that means I’m playing her twice… but shhh… I didn’t realise until it was too late and besides, the ages won’t be too out of sync.

Anyway, here is Cliff’s little spawn. A girl called Radium Evaristo.

And here is Syrah’s. Also a girl called Polonium Evaristo.
Cliff has taken to alien fatherhood like a duck to water, he must remember this from his days with Quartz. Syrah is also doing pretty good too, despite how much he struggled emotionally at the end of the last rotation.

Meanwhile, Agnes continues her charity work, her new living conditions have given her a central platform to protest in the city and have also inspired her to prompt difficult discussions about society’s acceptance of aliens and their bizarre family ties.

Chiara: “God this is nuts, I need a drink”
Yes, Chiara still acts like one of those famous types. She gets up when she feels like it now, showers and eats, the drone goes on and films a work out, then she hits the bar.
She then has the whole afternoon to do with what she wishes. Today for example is aging up the babies.

Here is little Radium. She rolled sensitive, and developed the quirks snuggly sleep, good appetite and messy eater.

And here is little Polonium. She rolled cautious with the quirks hates being held, gassy and self-soother. Great.
I think Polonium really looks like Syrah and in turn you can see parts of Chiara in her.
I was already very cautious about having twins again after my experience with the Coopers so lets see how this goes.

Although, so far… so good. Having many adult hands has made this parenting thing seem like light work?

It also means that the adults can get away to the fanciest restaurant in town…

Syrah: “You know, Agnes… I’ve always loved you… and I can’t help but think that something in the sim cosmos made us for each other…”
Agnes: “Oh Syrah, you’re so sweet!”

Syrah: “So would you do me the honour of becoming my wife?”

Agnes of course said yes, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Seriously, this family may not now be how I expected them to be, but these two have always been made for each other.

Back at home, more fun with infants continues. Cliff absolutely loves his little Radium.

And considering how Syrah had a continuous breakdown throughout his whole pregnancy, he actually adores being a dad to Polonium. It seems even Chiara is starting to come round to the idea.

Agnes is also getting involved with her adoptive daughter and in between work tasks enjoys some tummy time. Even though this is like having twins again, I am having such a different experience to how things went with the Coopers. The babies’ needs are met, as well as the adults… we’re even meeting milestones here! It’s like a breath of fresh air. Maybe I’m just getting in to a bit of a routine, but this is almost enjoyable?!

Quartz, however, doesn’t seem to think so. She still hates every single moment in this household.
Not long Quartz, and then you can move out with your beloved and inflict evil on the town…

Chiara carries on with her paintings and live streaming. I think it’s therapeutic for her in a way to zone out of such a ‘unique’ and busy family. I think this one is a masterpiece.
Chiara: “Yes, and it’s called ‘women’s struggle’. The message really resonates with me.”
Uh-huh…

Although I wouldn’t really say that Chiara has much of a struggle when it’s everybody else who is doing the most parenting for these babies…

Even Quartz is able to tolerate them for brief periods.

I thought that Syrah had emotionally recovered now he was no longer pregnant, but I guess I was wrong. He’s woken up a few times now either petrified from remembering a traumatic experience (the abduction) or just in a bad mood. I love Syrah, but he really is a very sensitive little soul.

Meanwhile, Agnes is invited out of the house to Geekcon by Walter. I’m terrible, I can’t even remember what relation Walter is to her, step uncle? I think… but their bond is so close and they’re so similar in age they grew up almost like siblings.

Walter does pretty well but Agnes doesn’t even place. I reckon she’s put off by yet more alien heads seemingly trolling her.

Back at home, life is pretty chill. I can’t believe how different this experience of having twins has been compared to with Summer and Luciano Cooper. Kirby still has a house key so she comes over to play some cards.

Quartz, however, remains a grumpy mess. Not long, Quartz until you grow up. And I have great plans for you…
Quartz: “That’s just great. Well I can’t wait until my life is void of all human contact! Apart from my schmoozy-poo Andres!”
And her dad, I’m sure. The only two sims she has ever loved.

Chiara has recently been growing her fame by effortlessly busting out amazing paintings. I mean look at this one?!

The babies are also showing off their talents and hitting milestones all over the place! Look at little Polonium sitting!

Radium also decides to give it a go!

Squee! So cute! And Agnes is such a dedicated caregiver taking pictures!
Agnes does have quite a bizarre relationship with these girls. On one hand, she’s the adoptive parent of Polonium through her relationship with Syrah, however Radium and Polonium are genetically both half-siblings and aunt/niece. Try not to think about it too much, it’s completely fried my brain.
Anyway, my point is that Agnes seems to love both girls.

And it’s time to try out some food!

Oh man I just love Polonium.

Radium however is absolutely filthy.

Case in point. Oh dear llama!

Quartz: “How many days until I can leave this hell hole full of weird babies that are vaguely genetically related to me, a mother who is chasing superstardom and an idiot brother?! Tell me, how many days until I can go to my refurbed spaceship in an undisclosed location?!”
Umm,, I don’t know Quartz, I should have kept better notes, but I’m sure your birthday is soon.

In fact, Agnes manages to take Quartz’ mind off of her hatred by playing some cards.

And Quartz seems a little bit happier after a smooch from her boyfriend.

Meanwhile, Syrah comes home exhausted from another mind-numbing day as a Salaryman. He always comes home tense from work and as a result is barely progressing up the ladder at all. Deciding that he has enough on his plate with the upcoming marriage, expanding the family and a household which already has two babies, Syrah quits his job and takes up a role in the tech career as a programmer.

We then have another abduction. Only this time, thankfully, it’s Agnes. Seriously this family has been abducted more times than I can even remember.

Syrah: “Are alien life-forms always this stinky?”
Umm, yup. The sim life-forms can be equally as filthy though.

Despite a taste of parenting which was much more premature than either of these two anticipated, they are still absolutely smitten with each other. Today is a big day, it’s time for a few birthday parties ready for the wedding at the end of the week. (I wanted the girls aged up before the wedding so they could more independently manage their needs and then I could focus on the wedding a bit more).

Anyway, time to blow out some candles!

And with their respective dads too!

Anyway, here we have little Polonium. She continues to look a lot like Syrah and is such a little cutie!
Polonium rolled: Angelic
quirks: loves wake up time, hates bed time, good appetite.

And here is little Radium. I really love the purple tone to her eyes.
Radium rolled: charmer
quirks: loves water, good appetite

It’s also time for Quartz to finally have her birthday to young adult and she was extremely happy.
For her final trait, Quartz rolled hates children. Fitting really, and in keeping with her general personality. Quartz really couldn’t wait to get out of there, and moved out quietly and almost immediately to her private, quiet and characterful home in an undisclosed location. You will see it when I play Quartz as part of a new rotation! Bye Quartz, see you soon!

The family however, and somewhat sadly, barely notice Quartz’ absence as Chiara goes back to painting…

…or playing cards.
It’s a shame really, Quartz has always been quite a difficult personality, even from her infancy. And it’s a shame she’s moved out so unceremoniously like this. I’m not sure whether she’ll even want to do things with her family when I play her next, she just isn’t really bothered by other people at all. So I’m quite interested to play her.

These two, however, are just freaking adorable.

Polonium practices stacking some cubes…

Whilst Radium and Chiara play with some dolls.

Radium: “Dolly!”
Quartz: “Oh yeah, I remember these…”
Quartz isn’t gone for very long as she comes back for the wedding. I am so excited for this party, I cannot wait.

Literally everyone is invited. I have been looking forward to this for the longest time. In fact, I could see how suited Syrah and Agnes were for each other since they were children and I can’t wait for them to celebrate today.

Hugs were had…

Even Agnes’ maternal family the Bjergsens managed to make it.
Clara: “what do I do if the alien child is trying to hug me?…”
oh hon, you are a loooong way from Windenburg…

Chiara also dutifully steps in to play bartender for the OG Oasis Springs Society, not that is any hardship for her to be in charge of the alcohol…

And then it’s time for the ceremony.

We had set up a small area in the back yard to make the most of the space.

In typical sims fashion though, no one seems to give two hoots and instead they’re all just doing their own things…

Although I care *sniff*, what a beautiful couple!

Although those classy Bjergsens are seriously lowering the tone.

The party is in full swing inside however, as everyone gathers round for something to eat.

In fact, everything is just going really well, and even Chiara is drawn in to giving Polonium a hug.

Honestly this bunch of sims are just the cutest. They all get along so well and Renee has just slotted in like a jigsaw piece, she actually gets along with everyone.

Although seeing this from these two is totally not what I needed. This party isn’t about you guys!

Anyway, our couple head outside for a couple of wedding photos in the moonlight.

Actually one of my favourite couples yet… *squee!*

The party wraps up with a little motherly advice from Sofia.
Umm, excuse me hon but I don’t think you’re in a position to dish out marital advice.

And besides, a couple who karaoke’s together, stays together.
sigh, such a beautiful wedding…

But that’s all we have time for with the Evaristos! Join us next time for a new family in the Oasis Springs Society!
How will Syrah and Agnes adapt to married life? Will Chiara continue her journey to superstardom? And how will the girls get on in toddlerhood?
Are they holding each other’s babies? I can’t tell these two girls apart. This will be a long and confusing rotation next time I’m sure.
Until next time…
