Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 3 – Summer – Evaristo

Welcome back to more Oasis Springs Society. We’re back with everyone’s favourite aliens, the Evaristo’s!

Last time…

Trying to appease Quartz’s ‘soulmate’ aspiration, which is entirely out of character for her anyway, she began to date Andres Speer who is the only sim on the planet she’s met so far she doesn’t argue with. Cliff continued to write books, Syrah and Agnes continued to be cute and Chiara decided a little side venture from her usual critic stuff was called for, and she began to chase fame as a live-streamer with cooking and fitness content.

We’re due a couple of birthdays this rotation, so lets see what happens shall we!

Chiara has eased in to Sunday morning by having a run, which has really become part of her morning routine (and I find it helps keep the waistline in shape being a food critic). She is also joined by her drone as she attempts to climb the dizzying ladder that is fame – never mind that we’re about as high up as a step-stool on this metaphorical ladder!

She is also joined by Syrah, her son. But wait a minute, the Evaristo’s have moved again?!

Yes, yes they have! I was sick of the apartment which was becoming cramped for space, the neighbours were awful and I thought to complete Syrah’s aspiration of mansion baron he will probably need to go in with his parents to combine their income. The Evaristo’s are well-off, but not swimming in cash. So it has always been my long term plan that Syrah will stay at home, whilst also raising his family there.

The Old Salt House seemed like an obvious choice, still in San Myshuno, spacious and with potential to expand. It’s a bleary summer’s day today though! I forget how grey this neighbourhood can be.

But it’s time to work on Quartz for a minute and we head out on a date with Andres.

These two get on really well (I think Andres is also mean) and just seem to enjoy spending time cracking jokes.

Speaking of which…

Quartz: “This is what my mother, Pollination Technician #3 used with my father, you see the duck goes right up….”

Andres: “Oh geez Quartz, please!”

Although the *ahem* nuance of alien humour isn’t always found on human test subjects…

Although the pair do go inside to sit and chat for a bit. I don’t know why I took two teens to a bar, I’ve not been here in a while and was too lazy to then go somewhere else.. However, the pair become boyfriend and girlfriend today so that’s good!

Back at home, Syrah continues to be the delicate little flower he is. He currently has two fears, one of unfulfilled dreams, the other of failure (I think… I should take better notes)! So he heads to his dad for some life advice.

Cliff: “Son, you’re just a teen, you have so many opportunities ahead of you! I know the big world isn’t made for laid back aliens like us, just do what I do. If in doubt, nap it out”.

Which is exactly what Cliff does. That must have been some exhausting parenting, as he goes to lay down in the garden. It’s nice that these guys have some outdoor space now even though it is so grey today. I just realised that the kids have never had a garden as for the longest time the Evaristo’s have been apartment-dwellers!

Although there’s still that community spirit as locals eat fruitcake off the floor from outside the house.

That evening, Chiara and Cliff decide to try out a new restaurant I’ve built.

It’s called Jazz-Aret and is absolutely based on the nightclub from Bob’s Burgers, season 11. I’m not a good builder at all, but I seriously tried with this. Maybe I’ll show some pictures of just the lot at some point.

It looks like all the big names are here for opening night. Including some children? Sigh! I wish there was a way to make a venue adults-only.

Chiara has a great time though! I love her so much!

And the pair really enjoy their date. Eagle-eyed readers will spot Vihaan and Candice in the background.

The next morning, Chiara manages to paint a masterpiece… yes, this thing.

But it’s time to do some work and socialising all in one, as Chiara has to review three drinks for her work task. So we head to the bar in Mount Komorebi with the girls. I love the feel of this place, it’s so cosy and the time just passes so quickly when I play here.

The girls quickly settle in to playing some cards once Chiara has had a few drinks.

Which is just as well really, as the bar tender joins in to play a game! All the others look deep in thought, Chiara looks like she feels she’ll be taking home a lot of money!

Back at home, Quartz is raging about something. She’s been in an awful mood recently and has been walking around with a moodlet about how she doesn’t feel welcome in the family for quite some time now. She feels hurt around Chiara and Syrah (that’s rich considering how horrible she was to him as a child!) and so she spends her days fuming away. In fact, the only person in the family she likes is her dad.

Although just because she hates the place, doesn’t mean she has to burn it down. Thanks Quartz!

Sigh.

This only fuelled Quartz’ bad mood and by this time she was literally about to crack, so I sent her for a nice bath whilst Chiara was left to clean it all up. It’s going to be a long time for Quartz yet to be able to move out of this place, as she is only just in the middle of her teenage years.

Anyway, Chiara is just fine, thanks.

I still absolutely adore her, particularly when she does amazing, in character things like this whilst on a date with her husband.

Maybe it’s having a party animal for a mother, and a lazy author for a father, but these kids are incredibly maladjusted. Yes, I know I love Syrah, but even Syrah. We have Quartz who wants to end all sim life, starting with her family first it seems, and then you have Syrah who is gloomy and so is sad all of the time and will frequently retire to his bedroom to cry. I’m hoping when Syrah ages up and settles down with Agnes he will start being a bit happier?

Anyway, ignore Cliff in his pants… but don’t ignore him too hard, because this beautiful sim just wrote his first best seller. Good plumbob! It did almost finish me off. And we still have 2 more to write… but he has at least got one out of the way. Well done you clever little alien sim!

Cliff: “Who is the ‘lazy author’ now, right?”

Ah poop. Well, you are lazy, and you are an author… besides, part of your charm is that you’re so easy to please Cliff.

Difficult conversation over, it’s time for a birthday party. This time, it’s a joint party of Chiara finally ageing up to elder (sniff), and Syrah who ages up to young adult.

Chiara still definitely has the moves whilst live-streaming her own birthday party.

And they all look like they’re having a great time! Agnes and Syrah share a brief moment together before Syrah ages up, just to see them through the period of time where their age-gap would be highly inappropriate.

Anyway, Chiara goes first… and I wasn’t sure what to expect with this.

But she’s still gorgeous! A quick costume change is being organised to ensure Chiara’s outfits are a little more ‘age appropriate’ but still in keeping with her large personality.

And Syrah next…

…who actually has massively filled out in the shoulders! Goodness, he could give Walter a run for his money… I mean just look at him! *Ahem* anyway, as I was saying *checks notes*, Syrah rolled romantic as his final trait. I guess this is rather fitting as he and Agnes are entirely smitten for each other.

With the formalities out of the way, this lot are free to party-down!

I always forget that Johnny is a member of Partihaus, but he certainly has the moves!

And whilst Johnny is letting loose on the dance floor, the more ‘adultier’ adults all enjoy a slice of cake.

Even Cliff took a moment to dance! He still has the moves as well! I’ve not seen him dance like this for a long time!!

Kirby however showed her age ever so slightly. Oh my beautiful Kirby, I still love you loads!!

The party came to a natural finish after much dancing, joking and everyone left very happy. In fact, I really enjoyed playing that and it really entertained me. Syrah got a bit of an early night.

Meanwhile, Cliff was entirely drained from all of the social interaction and dancing so decided to play sims.

Sounds about right, my man.

Although then, Syrah just got himself out of bed to go and investigate a weird light.

No Syrah no!

Ah crud.

Although at exactly the same time Cliff also goes outside to investigate a weird light.

Kirby: “Evening again, Cliff! Nice night for it!”

Double crud.

Honestly. Father and son abducted at exactly the same time! I was in a state of shock! My husband came downstairs and I just had to tell him. But seriously?!

Kirby: “Yeah, freakin seriously! I’m trying to go to the bathroom here?!”

Syrah found that after his rude awakening he couldn’t then sleep. He took his abduction incredibly hard and so stayed up that night fixing the sink.

The next morning, usual service resumes as Chiara dances for her social media followers.

And Syrah practices his writing skill for his new career path as a salaryperson.

I was actually very unsure what I wanted Syrah to do, but I figured that this was a good solution and provided a job that didn’t require him to be outgoing and in a way, fits his ‘wanting to please’ personality.

Meanwhile, both boys have a queasy and uncertain feeling about them. I have a feeling we are in for two alien babies, which will technically belong to different generations, but also belong to the same generation due to the technicality of their mothers being Pollination Technician!! Technically! Yes, don’t think too hard about the genetics of how two babies will essentially be each others half siblings but also aunt/uncle, niece/nephew combo. In fact, no one in this house seems to think too hard anyway these days, it causes wrinkles.

Speaking of which, this random lady just invited herself in as she’s a huge fan of Chiara’s. Ummm, go home, hon! The creepy fan was in sims 1 remember! We quickly showed her to the curb as I don’t want her getting the intel on what goes on in this house.

Things like bizarre alien pregnancies…

… bizarre alien pregnancies that affect both father and son?! Which I’m sure would be quite the scoop in some of the more ‘characterful’ tabloids.

Syrah: “oh dear, what is Agnes going to think of this?!”

Syrah continues to take the violation of his insides particularly harsh bless him.

Cliff on the other hand is taking it all in his stride. Quartz only ever spends time with her dad, so gets to hear all about it.

Cliff: “oh Quartz! This new alien offspring is turning my insides in to fluorescent goo! Just like you did when you were carefully placed in to my lower intestine by the surprisingly alluring pollination technician to advance our alien race!”

Quartz: “OH MY GOD! And now dad is going to have another alien baby! No one in this house likes me anyway! My life stinks!”

As if Quartz didn’t already hate every aspect of her home life, the idea of an alien sibling coming out of her father (and her brother) seemed to psychologically perturb her even more.

So I take her to do something I think she’d enjoy. Swimming with her boyfriend!

Look, kid, I’m really trying here, understand?

Quartz comes round and gets a smile on her face when she actually goes in the water though! And what swimming class for children is still going on at 9pm over there?!

Still, she cheers up just enough to have a kiss and a grope of Andres before it’s time to call things a night.

Syrah: “oh… I don’t feel so good…”

Chiara was quite done with being in that loony bin for so long, and she figured she needed to catch up for a coffee with the OG Oasis Springs Society. They head to the cafe in Windenburg which is one of my favourite lots!

Nancy: “So let me get this straight… since we saw you at your party just a few days ago… Quartz hates living with you all, and both Cliff and Syrah got abducted and are now having babies?! Geez, that’s harsh!”

Chiara: “you can see why I just needed a coffee… still, it’s the work of the great pollination technician to advance the alien race and it must be an honour for both my husband and son to be chosen! But I can’t help but feel a bit crappy about it, like my husband having another baby?! I’m old now!!! I’m a low-level celebrity?! I can’t be a mother and a grandmother again and all at the same time!”

man next to Kirby: “umm what? This is the last time I just pick an empty chair at this place.”

I don’t know what virtues and wisdoms of family life Nancy gave to Chiara, but she came home that evening and gave her pregnant son a hug.

It was very touching.

Syrah however, responded by yelling at her. You see, his state of misery has now transformed in to fear and he walks around absolutely petrified on account of his abduction. He really is a sensitive little alien who is taking this incredibly hard.

Cliff on the other hand doesn’t seem to mind, and I think Quartz has also mellowed a little as the pair enjoy their own hug.

Another masterpiece, another absolutely bizarre painting. But that’s art, right? Are you alright there in your old age Chiara?

Chiara: “I just love the colour of this dress, and I thought I’d paint Mrs Windy-Day!”

The fact she earns money and fame from this just curdles my brain.

Anyway, Syrah is exhausted and upset, so again retreats to his bedroom to cry.

Although you can partly see why, can’t you? Honestly, I feel so stinking bad for this kid. You can imagine it now, being a boy who for his whole childhood was tormented by his sister, you want nothing more in life than to have a nice home with your long-term girlfriend who you’ve completely fallen for. And then, on the night of your birthday(!!!) you are abducted by your alien race and impregnated – in to the lower intestine if Cliff is to be believed. No wonder he feels so crappy about it.

But this is all the Oasis Springs Society that’s fit to print right now, which means that the babies will be born whilst I’m not on the lot. Hecking plumbob, if that’s not a cliffhanger I don’t know what is? So…. place your bets… Boys? Girls? Skin tone? Well, you’ll have to wait and see… And join us next time too I guess for Syrah starting his life with Agnes, Chiara becoming more famous? Will Cliff ever write another best seller? And will Quartz finally move out and be happy? These are all pertinent questions, but seem less dramatic then two tiny alien flesh bags! Until next time!

And just look at the family photo! I lol’ed so hard! Although it’s a shame they’re not stood like book ends…

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 3 – Summer – Cooper (2)

Welcome back to the Oasis Springs Society. This time, we’re back with the Coopers, Logan and Rocco’s happy little family in Brindleton Bay. What happened last time? Well, Logan got a job in the business career track to try and get some savings behind him whilst he attempted to continue hosting a range of successful parties. Rocco on the other hand, continued his stylist career track from home whilst searching for collectibles to complete his aspiration. They adopted little Meryl and got engaged at the end of the rotation.

We join the couple perfectly happy with having a relaxed morning, Logan is enjoying a cuddle with Meryl.

Meanwhile Rocco is fashion blogging to try and gain some experience.

But, the morning won’t stay very relaxed for long….

… that’s right! It’s wedding time!

God I love these two.

The guests start to filter in…

And I take that as a queue that we can start the ceremony. It seemed right to me that Logan and Rocco would be the sort of couple of marry in the city. I’ve also noticed that Rocco is wearing an entirely different suit?! But he also strikes me as the sort to do a costume change at his. own wedding.

sniff sniff, so beautiful.

I was also completely stunned to see the majority of the guests sitting in the actual chairs?! Knock me down with a feather.

The younger generation however are inside taking advantage of the bar facilities. Florence even flirted with Walter! Stop it girl! Not after the drama you gave me on your rotation!

Back at home, the couple ease in to married life. Although they decide that it isn’t just the pitter patter of Meryl’s tiny feet that they want to hear, and they’d really like a baby.

And it’s as easy as that? As Logan struts out the door to go to the clinic. I have been saving my first impressions of having a science baby particularly for these two, and I’m keen but also daunted to play infants!

So here she is, a little girl called Summer, named of course after the season of her birth (a constant reminder of her story so far)!

And then, a boy, Luciano, following with the Italian heritage that it is my headcanon that Rocco has. I’ve heard that twins were more common with science babies and sadly it has proven true for me. Don’t worry, I’m still trying to get a refund from the clinic. They shouldn’t have used everything that was in the tube if there was some going spare!

Anyway, for a brief moment, it’s like nothing has really changed as Rocco returns back to the computer to blog about this season’s hottest looks.

In fact, he steps up to father duties beautifully and is straight on it with the kids’ needs. However, I certainly think the pair will have their hands full. Summer spends most of her time crying, even when she’s perfectly happy.

Rocco: “it’s ok, she’s just a little diva like her daddy!”

I’m sure he will not be so cheerful at 3am.

Anyway, Nancy decides to come round. Not sure why but actually I’m quite surprised she didn’t organise a stay-over when the babies were born. I’ve also just realised the back on this dress which I’m not sure quite suits her now… but too late!

Rocco decides to show her some pictures of the babies even though they’re just upstairs.

And Nancy springs in to grandmother mode and starts to clean.

In fact, Rocco’s mum then comes over too which I just found hilarious and also really sweet that the new grandmothers would want to go round and help out.

As if we didn’t have enough visitors, Walter also stops by this evening. But he doesn’t stay for long.

Anyway, the boys have really got in to the swing of things. Although I am dreading what’s coming next.

Yes! It’s a birthday party!

I’ve kept it small this time by only inviting the two families; the Cooper’s and the McRae’s. Walter is also here as Logan’s best friend as I see him as more of a God father character? It would have been great if they introduced that in Growing Together, or the options for children to have ‘aunties’ and ‘uncles’ who are actually their parents’ family friends. Sigh, look at how Walter is looking at Florence…

But a good time was seemingly had by all as some dancing followed.

Anywho, this is the moment where all our lives drastically changed. Yes, Rocco, take a picture. I had mixed expectations about playing with infants, particularly twins(!!) from people’s reports online. Some comments I read and thought “pshh, how hard can it be?!” others made me dread this virtual baby experience. Part of me thought, I’m an experienced sims player (hahaha!) and have been playing since TS1 first came out, but crikey was I in for a shock. As you will soon find out.

Similarly, my in real life kid also barely ever slept and I really felt my stress levels rising playing with these two little boogers. Let’s see them shall we.

This is Luciano. He obviously has Rocco’s complexion and Logan’s hair.

Luciano thoughtfully rolled the trait wiggly infant and over time developed the quirks: snuggly sleeper, good appetite and feeding tinkler. Yes, how lucky am I.

In fact, the sims Gods must have heard me remark how fortunate I am when they blessed me with Summer’s traits.

Summer also rolled wiggly infant (you can’t make it up!) and her quirks became: loves wakeup time, good appetite, frequently sneezes.

I’m not going to lie, I was completely at sea. Two babies who defied sleep like they were in competition with each other felt back breaking. In the end Summer eventually nodded off on the living room floor, but I was so stupid with getting them to sleep that I could only let them sleep for a while as their other needs by that point were so low that I had to wake the babies to feed them. And thus, the vicious cycle continues.

In the calamity I was happy to take this cute pic of Summer and Meryl.

And Rocco has been honing his photography skill recently for his career, so here’s a cute pic of Logan!

Rocco’s brother also decides to come over, but offers no practical help whatsoever and instead decides to argue over chess. Families, right?! You can’t choose ’em!

I forget who this is, possibly Luciano? To be fair it’s all a repressed blur, but one of the kids had a nappy explosion so poor Rocco who hasn’t even emptied his own bladder yet decides to take care of the kid that is now more poop than child.

Stink crisis averted, we head to the park for Rocco to look for crystals. Shockingly there weren’t any… go figure. Although Summer was happy snuggling up indoors with daddy.

And Logan was super-dad all the way back home too. Look at that for a picture. I cracked up, “calling daddy-day-care”!

Oh gosh yes, cry Luciano, cry. I haven’t heard enough of it already! Honestly if it’s not one, it’s the other…

Although infants’ feet are HELLA CUTE!!!

We take our moments when we can get them in this house. I think for a couple of hours at least both of the babies slept. Ready to do it all again in the morning.

Speaking of which. Rocco looks a little worse for wear which is totally not becoming of the next big name in fashion. However, this is how we look here now, for the sake of the children…

Meanwhile, Logan has been working throughout all of this and then coming home and dealing with the kids. I realise he has done nothing for himself this whole time. So he gets to go on a jog and that’s about it.

Logan: “urge to kill drifting…. drifting…”

Also, when I stop looking at the kids for all of two milliseconds, I really appreciate this beautiful view!

Although these kids are just so dang cute. I almost don’t care if both Rocco and Logan are steaming flesh bags of filth, so long as the babies are ok.

And we finally seem to get in to some form of a routine of how life must go on even with these demanding tiny sims.

Meryl, on the other hand, has been severely neglected this whole rotation. I don’t think I’ve pet her, brushed her or bathed her once. Sigh, sweet Meryl. So unassuming, so forgiving. She just loves going under the table or the sofa and having some time to herself.

Still, I had done some reading on infants in between play sessions and realised that I had the glitch where milestones weren’t saving or being applied. For example, I was forever getting notifications that either Luciano or Summer was meeting a new milestone, yet it never stuck or I never saw it.

Yes, turns out it’s a glitch that wasted me *so* much time. My babies may well have been much more independent by now if the thing actually worked properly! *AHEM* Whatever, turns out the fix to this nonsense is to go back in to manage worlds and then re-enter your family. You’re welcome. So that’s what we did and finally the kids are learning things.

How cute is he?! And Meryl is also so pleased!

Later that evening, Logan finally snaps.

He has the jealous trait anyway as some of you may remember. I don’t think he’s kissed his husband or even touched him since the kids were born and everyone’s needs were low.

Logan, however, was not the only thing kicking up a stink in the kids’ room. This is how most of the house looks now.

Can you tell I’m having a really rough time?!

And then! For Plumbob’s sake Logan!! He does it again!!

It’s the kids’ birthdays. I was hoping this wouldn’t affect anyones relationships too much and that once the kids are toddlers he’ll snap out of it. Besides, we need to get ready for the party.

Although I also didn’t anticipate for the chef we paid good money for to burn the house down.

Thankfully no guests were here yet, or I wouldn’t have been able to handle the resulting chaos.

The house is evacuated, however the blaze wasn’t as bad as it could have been and was put out pretty quick.

Rocco: “When I said about reigniting the flames of our marriage this is not what I meant!!”

Still, no guests ever did show up. This rotation has just been a load of llama doody from start to finish hasn’t it?!

So I decide to proceed with the birthdays regardless. Thanks to the glitch, the kids barely know any skills. It’s caused one of my best couples to argue, no one has progressed in any careers or aspirations and we’ve neglected the dog. Here’s to a fruitful toddlerhood kids.

You all know what toddlers look like and I was too done by this point to take photos. But, so we all know, Luciano rolled Silly Toddler with top notch infant trait.

Summer rolled Inquisitive toddler, with top notch infant trait.

Based on those personalities I don’t think I’m going to have much less stress next time…

I did change their outfits, but it was straight to bed for these two. I’m not ashamed to admit I was exhausted.

Well, thanks all for joining me through this torture. I did it. And you know what, I feel I’ve actually learnt some bits to make my next adventure with infants a bit easier? Maybe…. I hope you’ve found my despair somewhat entertaining. Compared to this, I’m actually looking forward to playing with this family next rotation. And wasn’t it a lovely wedding? See, I’m trying to take positives!

Join us next time, what will the kids get up to? Will Meryl get any attention? Will anyone ever get promoted or move forwards in their aspirations ever again?! Well, I’m starting to wonder…

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 3 – Summer – Cooper

It’s time for more Oasis Springs Society! I can tell you’re all excited! Last time with the Coopers, Logan moved out with his partner Rocco McRae, Florence grew up to young adult and started galavanting around the Selvadoradean jungle developing her archaeology skill and selling the bits she found. Johnny carried on with his comedy gigs whilst Nancy started to feel a little empty at home with the kids having grown up. We left the Coopers last with Florence being asked out by Maximo, one of the Selvadorada natives who she seems to have taken quite a liking to… despite being in a relationship with Walter.

I am also an idiot, as I should have actually played Logan’s side of the Cooper family first. D’oh! Anyway, nothing that can’t be resolved. So unfortunately for this rotation these two branches of the family will be out of order, but don’t worry, next season I’ll play Logan first and then the original Coopers to get back in to the routine.

Sunday starts off peacefully for the Coopers, Nancy is spending some time with Sam whilst the rest of the family gets off to a slower start. Sam really is such a mucky dog and honestly needs a bath every single day!

We then head out to check out the Rec centre as I had just bought Growing Together! Florence immediately goes to beat up the children’s toys. Why am I not surprised.
The rec centre does look good for kids, but we head back home, where we have a little summer gathering.
Walter also stops by and for once Florence is quite happy to see him.

Oh, maybe that’s why. To be honest I don’t know what to do for these two. Florence has always seemed a bit hot and cold towards Walter who has always been absolutely smitten with her… and now with Maximo on the scene, well, I don’t know.

Nancy also develops the Active trait after using the water slide a few times, I found this hilarious as there will be hope for Johnny yet!

Although it’s a beautiful day, and these two decide to go and visit the romantic garden for a date.

Sigh, I love how in love they both still are!

They have a great time, and end up using the fountain to cool off.

Back at home:

Johnny: “No hey Logan, you’re not interrupting anything son, I can chat. So what’s new?”

Ugh, men and their bathroom habits.

That evening Florence invites the kids out for a homely drink at the cute little pub in Windenburg. Rocco, please stop eyeing up Don Lothario. That is a story for another save…

Don: “Heyyyyy, foxy playables!”

Keep moving Don, if I need another love-triangle story I’d invite you to get in touch. Anyway, Florence and Logan greet each other with a nice hug which is great to see.

And then it’s time to sit down for some games!

The next day Florence isn’t feeling too good.

Although this would explain it… The first baby of Generation 3 is on the way! Doesn’t Florence look thrilled?!

Walter just so happens to come over at almost the perfect time. I have no idea what is going on here, it’s like a renaissance painting. Johnny is wailing about something completely irrelevant, Florence is yelling at Walter. Walter is confused… Sam is just keeping out the way….

Florence: “As I was trying to say! I’m pregnant!”

The two head out in the hall to continue their conversation.

Walter: “Florence that’s great news! I love you so much! Where shall we move in together? Or do we look for a new house entirely?!”

Florence: “That’s sweet, but I’m not sure I’m ready for that… lets see how things go.. in the meantime, here’s a key and you can come over any time…”

Eesh, Walter looks upset doesn’t he.

Anyway, deciding not to dwell on what she would like to do with her relationships and love interests which are now complicated by this tiny sim, we decide to work on Florence’s aspiration. She has to clog 5 sinks at other sim’s homes. Of course Florence decides to hit up the Jangs.

Oh revenge! Revenge and its so sweet! That’s for being such bad neighbours to the Evaristo’s – don’t mess with me!

On another note, there’s something quite hilarious about a pregnant lady bursting in to someone’s home to maliciously clog their sink isn’t there? Anaya started protesting that Florence was being really inappropriate but funnily enough I fail to care.

We then head home to celebrate a job well done with some video games.

And some more vomiting! Seriously, Florence has been so sick this pregnancy it’s unreal.

However nothing stops Florence for very long and she decides she really wants to further her name in archeological studies before this baby comes. So it’s time for another trip to Selvadorada.

I swear Johnny and Nancy just fall more in love at this place.

Meanwhile, Florence heads straight out in to the burning sun to go and find some artefacts.

Florence seems to be doing lots of things this rotation that it is societally questionable for pregnant ladies to do, including chopping down massive thick vines with a machete.

Florence: “Oh I don’t feel so good…”

Honey, I don’t think it’s appropriate to carry on when you’ve been bitten by a scorpion…

Florence decides my advice was a load of llama doody and she makes it to the omiscan baths, which looks absolutely beautiful at this time of day with the pink sky!

Back at the lot, Johnny has a great time doing some fishing and actually really enjoys himself. Look at that beautiful view too! I actually really like Selvadorada. I wish it was a bit bigger and could have full time residential lots there. Would be great for sims who want a slower pace, ‘live off the land’ style of life.

Although it doesn’t take long for Florence to return and catch up with Maximo who is running his stall outside the cantina.

Maximo: “Florence, I’ve missed you so much! I’ve been doing some thinking..”

Florence: “I’ve been doing some thinking too! But you go first…”

Maximo: “Well, move here with me so we can be together, or I’ll move to Oasis Springs to be with you!”

The pair decide this is a great idea and Florence now knows what she has to do when she returns home. I mean Florence, if he can still love you whilst you’re covered in green circles and pregnant with your legit-boyfriend’s kid then maybe you’re meant for each other…

Back home, Florence was rolling so many wants for Maximo including a want to get engaged to him, which is really what sealed the deal for where I took this. I try and listen to my sims as much as possible to keep the game a bit more interesting, then it feels like they’ve made their own decisions on key life events.

Florence decides to pay a little visit to Walter after her sudden realisation.

Walter: “This is great! I can’t wait for this baby to be born Florence! We need to decide on names? What are you thinking? I reckon if it’s a girl then…”

Florence: “Umm, Walter.. I need to speak to you about something..”

Walter: “Well, what is it?”

Florence: “I’m really sorry, but I don’t think I want the same things from our relationship anymore, and I really want us to go our separate ways Walter. I’m sorry… I still want you in this baby’s life and at the birth, but I can’t see forever with you…”

He looked absolutely crushed, but from the surface things were resolved quite amicably… Florence wasn’t even sad. I hope she’s sure about this, as I always shipped her and Walter together but this is what she wanted. Ah butts, I just love little Walter so much.

Ironically not long after the awkwardness, Florence goes in to labour. Florence strikes me as the sort of girl who doesn’t mess around and would want this process over asap… so we head to the hospital.

Walter: “Where is she?! I got here as quick as I could!”

Poor Walter, I love you. You don’t deserve any of this.

Anyway, Dr Wren delivers the baby safely. A little baby boy, Francis Cooper.

Whilst back at home, Sam ages up to elder. How can this be?! Sam feels like he’s barely had time as part of the family!

Well, despite the relationship coming to an end, Walter is still like a second son to Nancy and Johnny and the house key means he can come and see Francis whenever he likes. I like to think he’s talking to Nancy here about the birth of his son.. Speaking of which….

Florence: “Here he is Walter! Look, I really think he looks like you!”

Oh my gosh, look at that little smile.

And the two just go to hug outside before Walter then leaves for the night.

(I actually didn’t make them do this… my heart… Walter is just so happy!)

Johnny: “Hey! Did anyone ring for a celebrity?!”

That’s right, Johnny got a chance card to be propelled to the top of his career and to gain some fame so he has come home incredibly happy tonight. And for once, it seems like everyone in the Cooper household is just perfectly happy with just the way things are.

The next morning, Johnny and Sam have some lovely snuggles on the bench. I love Sam so much!

Walter is of course already at the house and eating the birthday cake Nancy had made for the upcoming party. Sigh.

… As it’s time for Nancy and Johnny to follow Kirby’s footsteps and turn in to elders!

Johnny decides to go first. Cheered on by a small number of family and friends. I don’t think the Evaristo’s could make it for some reason?

Sigh, one elderly guy coming through! Now for Nancy.

Although, old age suits these two. Johnny looks very comfortable as the funny grandfather type character, and Nancy’s features appear soft and beautiful in her old age. They sit down together for a slice of cake, certainly a much quieter birthday party than they have previously been used to. Remember when Nancy used to streak all the time?!

Ever since the birth of Francis and starting a relationship with Maximo, Florence has said she has found a reason to be happy and has gained the cheerful trait. Which is lovely really… Maximo decides to move in, although my jaw dropped when I read his traits.

His aspiration is serial romantic and traits are creative, materialistic, family-oriented and alluring. Ok, so he’ll cheat with everyone, but at least he’ll love his kids… Oh Florence. I’m sorry but I think you made the wrong choice.

Never mind though. Florence’s hands will be kept full with Francis for a little while, who really does look like Walter. My babies never stay babies for very long, and I wanted him to become an infant before the end of the rotation…

Francis rolls the intense infant trait. Of course. Great, thank you very much dice.

Still, Maximo is off to a good start with helping to care for Francis.

And then, in the final slithers of this rotation, we fulfil Florence’s want of getting engaged to Maximo.

The Cooper’s have become a family a bit like a patchwork quilt haven’t they? I really didn’t think my game would take this direction. I didn’t expect Florence to ever have kids or want to get married, but she is so happy right now that I’m just happy to let it happen! So join us next time for more Oasis Springs Society, how will Maximo settle in? How intense will Francis be?! How will the wedding go? Will Johnny and Nancy enjoy old age? And many other questions will be answered next time!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 3 – Summer – Morgan

It’s time for more Oasis Springs Society! Welcome back! We’ve missed you! But what happened last time for the Morgan’s?

Vihaan and Agnes Joy moved in with Kirby and Walter prompting the build of a stylish basement extension (if I do say so myself!). Walter aged up to young adult and Vihaan started to become closer with one of the personal trainers at the gym he used to go to – Candice. Meanwhile, things with Agnes and Syrah and Kirby and Trevon continued beautifully.

We join the family now together for a meal which was really nice to see!

After something to eat, I get a notification about Ishaan’s spirit fading away. Yes, despite the constant mourning. After a lot of thought, we call it a day and Kirby releases his spirit. He never really came out to haunt, and Kirby used to spend so much time mourning, that in a way it’s kind of freeing to release Ishaan.

That afternoon, Agnes and Syrah go for a soak at the Onsen. I still cannot complete this part of Agnes’ aspiration, no matter how long she’s in there for! And look, she’s obviously relaxed as she’s even fallen asleep! Leaving Syrah to watch the world go by.

Kirby certainly has plans that are more fun? As she meets up with Trevon at a new restaurant.

I actually got this lot from the gallery and it’s beautiful, quite a nice sized restaurant with an indoor bar and also an outdoor bar in a nice garden. I was very eager to use this lot when I got it! I’ve popped it where most of my new lots go, in Newcrest.

And hey! Andres is also here with his family. I love seeing sims that my playables are in some way involved with out and about seemingly living life.

But, ahem, the service is a little lacking as the waitress chucks the dirty dishes in front of Kirby’s food. Funnily enough she doesn’t look happy about it!

Kirby: “Umm, hon… are you going to move that?”

Trevon: “So honey bun, as.I was saying, they had a potluck at work with the most delicious…”

Trevon doesn’t seem to notice bless him that Kirby isn’t really paying attention!

However the other couples are also here! It’s like an Oasis Springs Society reunion! And it’s super cute really. Chiara is probably reviewing the place… Nancy and Johnny are just crazily in love.

Ahem, case in point..

Kirby goes over to say hi to her friends, Trevon doesn’t seem to mind, and it was really sweet that they were all trying out the new restaurant together!
Kirby is also a brilliant grandmother and loves helping Agnes with her homework.
That evening Florence comes round to see Walter. They’re still ticking over quite nicely, although she seems in a really bad mood tonight.
Walter tries to cheer her up…
Which works ever so slightly, but Florence quickly goes home after this. I don’t think she was really feeling it this evening. Florence is often in a bad mood, and Walter is often on the end of it!
I still completely love this family. The Morgan’s do have such a really strong bond naturally that is something that seems to have completely organically developed. I know that sounds really cheesy, but they’re always showing appreciation for each other that just isn’t really mimicked in other households. A bit like how Nancy and Johnny are my most ‘loved up’ couple.
The next morning Vihaan decides to meet a girl at one of the Windenburg coffee shops. It’s a really bleak day at the moment and Vihaan’s original date stood him up, so we end up calling someone else…
That’s right, Candice accepts our invitation for coffee. This lady is really starting to grow on me and she seems to really like Vihaan. Although please ignore the absolutely filthy coffee machine, the barista has cleaned it by the next photo…
These two are really starting to hit it off. In fact, Vihaan invites Candice back home.
Vihaan: “you know, Candice, I really like you…”

Candice: “oh, that’s really sweet… in fact, I like you too..”

This pair’s relationship has completely flourished. I don’t necessarily see them together forever, but it’s nice that Vihaan has someone who genuinely seems in to him.
Meanwhile, it’s a night on the town for Kirby and Trevon who go and get a few drinks at Maison Bargiela.
Trevon also seems to make Kirby happy. Look at him, he’s actually a cutie! He’s really grown on me a lot recently too, I don’t think Trevon will ever move in or marry Kirby (I can’t keep up with all the playables I have!) but it’s nice to be able to do things with him.
Although they then decide to put on a public display of affection.

Green shirt guy: “please, carry on… I’m not staring…”

Little Agnes however is going through a rough time. She’s quite emotional at the moment and not really enjoying being around her family. Syrah is an absolute sweetheart and quickly rushes over to support her.
Although Agnes is also very tense and argumentative around Vihaan. Ugh, teens.
But it’s time for a birthday party, and everyone is here to celebrate Kirby’s birthday! Nancy actually has more luck talking to celebrities than Chiara did the other day!!
I also forgot this was Quartz’ party outfit and I LOVE it. How much does it suit her?! She stands outside talking to Walter for a little bit.
Soon it’s a gathering of the Oasis Springs Society! The usual suspects made liberal use of the bar. We even have Cassandra Goth photo bombing!

Quartz still hasn’t come inside for some reason though. She’s good friends with Agnes who goes outside to chat to her.
The other kids have somehow got past the bouncer to access the VIP area upstairs. It just goes to show that the younger you are the more confidence you have to just go and do things like this. In my head, Marcus let them through as he is the unlikely best friend of Johnny Zest, and this bunch of misfits are his friends.
You’ve got to admit though, this does look pretty cool.
However the only disadvantage of the whole group being in the private lounge upstairs is that they missed Kirby gracefully aging up downstairs.
Oh my sweet Kirby, we love you! It doesn’t seem right that these guys are growing up!
Although is it any wonder the crew didn’t come down to watch when they have their own show unfolding right in front of them! Marcus decided to break this guy’s legs for trying to get in, let this be a lesson to you kids, this could have been you!
But they do all come downstairs after for some dancing!
The next day is date day. Vihaan and Candice decide to put on a show for the other diners.
It’s a good job they’re super cute together!
Back at home the half brothers have a chat about life, friendships, relationships… they’re still really close which is one of my favourite things about the Morgans
I also figure Agnes needs more of a relationship with her mother, so Sofia comes round for dinner and it was actually a nice evening.

Followed by a little bit of skilling tutored by Kirby at the chess table.

The day was made even better with Vihaan’s promotion that night! That’s right, he’s finally got to level 8 of the chef career track, and as such has completed his aspiration. Yes, you deserve that smile Vihaan, please keep it on your face forever! This has taken me far too long but finally – it is done!
In fact, let’s go and party! I love how everyone here is doing exactly what I would expect of them, Kirby and Chiara dancing, Vihaan awkwardly dancing, Cliff just standing there….
Although why the heck has Sofia shown up again?! She certainly does still seem to like air time with this family!
Although it seems like her ex husband has completely moved on.
Meanwhile this group are having a great night, just like old times!

Lady: “umm, is it one of those clubs?!”

No, hun, you’re good. Maybe this guy just needed some fresh air. Anywho, that’s all we have time for for the Morgan’s this rotation! Join us next time for more dating, how will Vihaan and Candice progress? What will Kirby think of old age? Will Agnes start to be more of herself? What will happen with Walter and Florence? We should hopefully have Agnes’ birthday next time too as she ventures in to the adult world. How exciting!
See you next time!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 3 – Spring – Evaristo

Welcome back to more Oasis Springs Society. We’re back with the Evaristo’s… who today are enjoying a relaxing afternoon at the pool.

Last time, Chiara completed her career as a food critic, Cliff continued writing book after book in the hopes of writing best sellers… Syrah plodded along and continues dating Agnes Joy. And Quartz aged up and matured from making her brother’s life a living hell. Instead, she rolled the soulmate aspiration; which seems out of character… but maybe she wants to continue the alien race. I don’t know…

The girls are just relaxing. Gosh I love these two! And actually, swimming in ts4 has become one of my preferred pastimes.

What I also really love about this pool in Windenburg is that it’s totally more of a leisure facility than a gym so having a bar and a function room there is something I really like.

I think it also suits Chiara, for obvious reasons, who goes to chat with her husband at the poolside with a glass of wine.

Back at home that evening, Quartz actually gets talking to this guy, Andres, and gets on pretty well with him! Quartz has very limited friends, so aside from Agnes Joy she doesn’t really have a lot of kids her age to socialise with.

Syrah explores more cultural pursuits and has actually painted a beautiful piece! I didn’t realise he had such high skill, but he seemed to enjoy himself too!

Cliff however continues his writing. We are still waiting on a best seller – it just isn’t happening! And it must be so exhausting as Cliff falls asleep at the desk.

Chiara continues her drinking. There’s something that seems a bit… pointless… of having a workout and then hitting the bar.

But lo and behold, Andres decides to come and see Quartz at home.

And they bond over laughing at some selfies.

Agnes continues to be wonderful and tries to fix the rubbish chute.

Sigh.

Extra sigh. This morning is going really well!

Although it gets better for Quartz as Andres comes round to see her again. Although these two decide to head out instead of cluttering up the apartment.

So they head to the park. Teens just live on their phones don’t they?

Although it’s a beautiful location for Quartz’ first kiss, and the weather looks dreamy too!

I am happy, although conflicted for Quartz. She really likes Andres and has the soulmate aspiration… but is also evil. Although I daresay even evil people require life companions…

Obviously Quartz doesn’t feel as conflicted as I do as she decides she just wants a nap!

The gang then decide to have a night out in typical Oasis Springs Society fashion. Although I only got this one picture of Nancy thoroughly enjoying herself.

But it’s Tuesday, and time to help Quartz shape her future without her ever knowing.

You see, now Quartz does want a soulmate, I decide I need one kid to carry on the alien line. I can’t guarantee that Syrah will have alien children with his human girlfriend, Agnes Joy. And Syrah and Agnes are absolutely made for each other so I’m not splitting them up. So Chiara takes Quartz to alien night at the bar, just to meet some different people and see what happens for now… although Quartz didn’t really seem to care and was drawn towards this girl.

Chiara made some friends however, who she could always introduce Quartz to later.

Baako: “heyyyy foxy ladies! Baako is here to hang out and let his hair down!”

Umm, that’s great Baako… but you invited yourself and you’re stuck in the bathroom. *eye roll-*

That’s right, no one did invite Baako, although we did invite all the kids for a movie night! Chiara even made cupcakes for them!

Well, I say kids even though half of them are now adults, but I really mean everyone who is part of the second generation. I want them to all continue to grow up together. It was pretty sweet watching everyone enjoy the movie together!

Walter and Logan then decided to catch up afterwards.

Chiara steps in to supply the kids with alcohol.

The next morning it’s time to get back to work and to paint a mural. So we head to the arts centre.

Cliff has decided he can’t be bothered today so takes a nap. Maybe he’s living art?

It was at this point that I felt that I wanted to try something new in my gameplay. I was getting pretty bored of Chiara having the same work tasks most days and my daughter had just got Get Famous. So Chiara becomes a food vlogger!

Kirby joins her whilst she’s live streaming for a quick catch up with her bestie.

Agnes is also here, although she does basically live here as she’s always visiting Syrah or Quartz.

I love this girl.

Love was on the cards this evening as the adults try out the bar in Del Sol Valley.

Although despite her rising social media presence, Chiara isn’t well known yet. That doesn’t stop her making out with Cliff in the background of the photo of Dustin the paparazzi is taking. I’m inclined to believe Chiara has very astute business and marketing skills.

The kids are having a bit more of a relaxing date at the karaoke bar and instead decide to make out in front of this person’s performance.

How much do I love them as a couple! Perfection!

In fact, the only person not having a good time is Quartz. She was raging at the Jang’s making so much noise so decides she’s going round there. Anaya was having none of it (she’s not as nice as her weird husband, Baako) and Quartz actually develops a fear of being judged.

Considering this is Quartz Evaristo we are talking about, force of the sim earth, she decides to have a pep talk with her brother the next morning.

Quartz: “and then she was just so mean to me! And I don’t know, who even am I if I don’t command her respect?! Maybe I’m not evil after all.”

Syrah: “I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but pull yourself together Quartz! You’ve always been as mean as a rattlesnake! Maybe Anaya caught you at a bad time, but I’m inclined to believe she has nothing on you! You made my existence miserable when you were only a child!”

I wasn’t expecting Quartz to have a sniff of revenge so soon, but she was revitalised by her conversation with her brother and coincidentally Anaya wanted to come and run her mouth about noise we were supposedly making?

I must say, Quartz was completely ruthless, made an enemy and I just sat back and watched.

She must have been feeling better after this as Quartz decides to hold a gathering of the kids at the Bluffs. Walter was the only one who’s made it down to the water so far.

Florence got stuck behind the rock, which is saying something considering she’s technically an archaeologist. Agnes decided she was going to sit back and do her extra credit.

Yes, the party was a little slow going.

Although things soon got moving after some dives and evil cackling.

In fact Quartz was so happy she even decided to explore this bush with Andres that was just big enough to fit 2 people inside…

How much do I love this girl… remember when I wasn’t sure I even wanted to keep her after Cliff had that unfortunate night with Pollination Technician?! I’m so glad I did!

All in all, the kids have a pretty good time.

Back at home, Quartz teases Syrah just for old times sake.

Although it’s nothing that a hug can’t resolve. These two really have developed in their relationship. But that’s it for spring with the Evaristo’s. Join us next time to see Chiara’s social media ‘career’ develop. Will Cliff ever get me that best seller?! And what will happen with Quartz and Andres?

Join us next time to find out!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 3 – Spring – Cooper

Welcome to more Oasis Springs Society! We’re back with the Coopers. But hey, nestled in to the landscape of Brindleton Bay, this doesn’t look like the normal Cooper house in the desert?

That’s right! The boys have moved out! You may remember me talking about it at the end of the last update, but Logan and Rocco have pumped their savings in to this tiny home in the marsh land of Brindleton Bay.

I’m a little miffed actually, as I thought I gave them a ton of money to pump in to a business, but no.. It was seemingly all drained by renovation to the house. As it was in quite a state anyway, but these boys have a sense of taste and style that they were not willing to compromise on..

Ahem, Logan starts off professing his undying love to Rocco and his fruit salad.

Logan continues with his job in the business career track. You may think that’s an irrelevant caption, but it totally isn’t. As he’s saving money for his business of course, so he needs a stable job to pay the bills and to pay in to the Plumbob Building Society of Simvestments and Loans.

However, he just cannot resist a dog which I find provides adequate returns of happiness and cuteness for the monetary outlays…

Squee!! This is Meryl.

I initially was looking for something like a cocker spaniel or a Labrador, but as soon as I saw Meryl I just had to get her.

She is a total cutie. Please brace yourselves for ongoing spam. Meryl is in fact my favourite breed in real life, so I think that’s why I felt extra drawn to her.

And here’s Rocco. Like, whatever…

Just kidding! Rocco is the next biggest name in fashion so for part of his work, he has to interview townies on their fashion choices. As you can imagine, I don’t think inspiration has struck him big yet. And besides, I don’t think the old masters like Dior, Chanel or Versace interviewed the people walking by their homes for help.

My heart…

When he’s not busy thinking about garments, Rocco indulges in his hobby for his aspiration which some of you may remember is ‘The Curator’. I know that the final step in this is to complete a collection and seeing as I had completed the collection of elements in my old legacy with Yaretzi Waites, I feel that this may be the easiest option to complete it again.

However the shores of Brindleton Bay don’t yield any valuable crystals and I feel we may have to look elsewhere.

Aww, Nancy remains such a great mother, dropping by to visit her son.

So cute!

Logan: ‘You know, we are alright here mum, it’s literally only been a day…”

The next morning Rocco’s hunt for fashion inspiration continues.

Although I don’t think he’s very good at this just yet. 8 year olds in scout outfits don’t immediately make me think they are the next big thing.

When Rocco is not working or collecting, all he does is scroll the internet. Honestly, if you leave him to his own devices you can guarantee you will find him doomscrolling things like bags, hats and boy bands.

I figure it’s time to get the boys out of the house and they go and explore the lighthouse together.

It made for a pretty cool and artistic shot…

And time to warm up by the fire once we’re home.

Logan loves little Meryl and tries to teach her as many skills as possible.

She is such a cute little dog.

Although has a habit of hiding under the sofa. At least she is small enough to fit.

But it’s time for a dinner party for Logan’s aspiration. Nancy is just thrilled to be invited to her son’s new home.

It was a lovely evening, we kept it small by only inviting the parents and Walter as Logan’s childhood best friend.

I also cut this one short as Logan only needed a silver rating and I didn’t want to overdo it.

The next morning Rocco is on vet duty as Meryl woke up quite sick. We choose the most expensive treatment and this is the first time I’ve had a sick animal so I didn’t want to risk anything by not getting the best option.

We go to Oasis Springs after the vet trip to look for collectables and to interview the locals regarding their fashion habits. Why on earth Rocco thinks that Victor and Bjorg are the height of fashion is truly beyond me.

Victor: “Hey! You don’t even have a notebook! How do I know this interview is legit?!”

Rocco: “Oh, trust me, I’m taking copious notes…” *Stares at hotpants*.

Thankfully, little Meryl is feeling better in no time. And it’s nice to see the landscape at the boys’ house brighten up a little bit, it has been so gloomy the past couple of days. But that view with the sea and the sunshine looks gorgeous!

Meanwhile, we have an invisible fire? Everyone was freaking out and things were burning but there was nothing to see? Anyway, weird, but we got the fire brigade out anyway.

At this point everything decided to break too. So the boys weren’t having much fun.

Old Victorian houses and their maintenance needs, am I right?

Deciding that he needed some downtime after everything fell apart, Rocco decides to watch TV whilst Logan is at work. You know what, I don’t even want to know Rocco.

Rocco: “It’s just the weather channel I swear! Apparently it’ll be hot today so time to see some abs!”

Aren’t you the lucky one!

And it did turn out to be a lovely day, so maybe Rocco was telling the truth… he heads in to Willow Creek to go hunting for crystals round by the bistro and I get to watch Kirby and Trevon have a sweet date.

That evening Logan had to tell Meryl off for something.

I don’t even remember what it was, but she was MAD. Logan was exhausted so I sent him back to bed whilst I stressed that Meryl would run away after this.

The next morning it turns out I didn’t have to worry… I was genuinely relieved to find out that Meryl still liked Logan!!

It’s a beautiful day, so we head to the park for the afternoon so Meryl can get some exercise and Rocco can look for crystals.

I just thought this all looked really sweet. And I was so happy as I thought that the love hearts meant that Meryl was having a great time. Anyway, you can imagine how stunned I was when I found out on Reddit that she’s actually in heat.

But whatever, as night fell and with Meryl by their sides, it seemed like an ideal time for Logan to pop the question.

Of course Rocco said yes! I really love these two.

The next morning Meryl gets sick, again, and this time I send Logan with her.

I’ve gone for the cheaper option as I exclaimed in the vet’s office “seriously Meryl, twice in one week?!” so you can see here that she is now sporting the cone of shame. And with perfect timing for the boys’ engagement party!

However Meryl wasn’t the worst dressed. Kirby, what the hell?!

Vihaan still loves her though, and pulls his stepmother in for a hug.

If it’s one thing the Morgan’s do well, it is family affection.

And the party is in full swing. Seriously I just love people watching at these things. I find it so fitting that the teens are chatting whilst Johnny is trying to bust a move.

Chiara remains true to form by cracking open some bottles.

Chiara: “well duh? Did you think the boys had this display behind me for decoration?”

I let Chiara do her thing and decided to watch the rest of the party. I love this bunch! I also don’t know why, but Cliff and Quartz didn’t show up… but they aren’t really social butterflies anyway.

With the party over, Logan takes time to both relax and freshen up. He’s happy with the result of his party and what a perfect way to celebrate.

Rocco’s dad: “knock knock! Son! I heard about your engagement! Can I come in to give my congratulations?!”

Umm, sir… I don’t think the boys are going to come to the door right now.

Yes, this is legit what happened. Fun times! Anywho, that’s all the Oasis Springs Society that’s fit to print for now! Join us next time to find out, will these two get married? Will Logan start his business? Will Meryl get sick again? And will Rocco ever decide to interview a townie who’s actually started off with some fashion sense?

Until next time!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 3 – Spring – Morgan

Welcome to the start of a fresh new rotation with the Oasis Springs Society! It’s rotation 3!! Let’s refresh my memory, what happened last time with the Morgans? Well, after the death of Ishaan, Kirby and Walter decided to up-sticks to the more serene Mount Komorebi to experience a slower pace of life.

They settled right in as Walter’s relationship with Florence blossomed. Kirby, perhaps moving on a little too soon started dating Trevon Patino.

However, I also have to update you on another family… the Chandran’s have moved in! That’s correct, after Vihaan divorced Sofia I didn’t really know what to do with the father, daughter duo. Agnes has the Mount Komorebi aspiration, so they moved in. I’m sure they will be one big happy family here.

Case in point as Kirby instantly pulled her step-son in for a hug. The Morgans have always done a lot of hugs in comparison to other families haven’t they?

Anyway, you may be wondering where I’m going to put Vihaan and Agnes. This is only a tiny lot and I am fresh out of bedrooms. It really did make me think for a long time of how to make use of the space. In the end, I thought I couldn’t really add on an extension as I wanted to keep the structural integrity of the house… I also thought that the family could do with some more living space anyway.

So I built down! I made a basement with spacious living and skilling area, two bedrooms and another bathroom.

Photos for those who are in to that sort of thing, otherwise please keep scrolling!

Peaceful hallway area.

Living room, trying to keep with the theme of the house.

Vihaan’s room, with some of the decor he had from San Myshuno.

A small but comfortable bedroom for Agnes, with walk in wardrobe.

Anyway, life continues. Walter is still absolutely smitten with Florence.

And the mourning continues. Good plumbbob Kirby I thought this was the end of this?!

Meanwhile, Vihaan and Agnes are settling in extremely well.

And it’s time for Agnes’ first day at the new school. I then consider if Vihaan may like to consider dating someone again and I scroll through his relationship panel.

Well, you can imagine how astounded I was to see he is good friends with one of the personal trainers and out of all the other women I think “yeah, maybe we could give her a call”. But she was already walking down the street and comes up to knock on the door!

Considering myself as a fortune teller / match maker, I invite Candice in and Vihaan greets her with a hug.

Even Johnny seems to approve.

That afternoon after school, Quartz comes home with Agnes. These two are actually pretty good friends considering Quartz seems to hate most people. Although with Agnes dating her brother, I guess it’s best to not get on Quartz’ bad side?

Anywho, I figure it’s time for the teens to let their hair down a bit and have some fun. What’s more fun than an onsen? Ha! Well, Agnes is living her best life. I’m doing this for her aspiration by the way, but figured we could turn it in to a social event. Even though everyone got pissed at Walter because he didn’t shower before getting in.

Although that isn’t the only problem as Quartz makes a few moves on Walter, and he reciprocates!

Walter Morgan you have been in love and chasing Florence since before I can remember! What are you doing!!

Florence: Urge to kill rising….

Leaving the teens to deal with their own filthy love triangle, back at home Vihaan and Kirby are enjoying some video games.

Vihaan even gets in to the sims. I used to love playing this in Sims 1. I thought the winter holiday destination was fascinating. I figure Vihaan could take up programming as a hobby, but he just gets bored and plays video games instead.

After school, Syrah comes home with Agnes. These two are so sweet together

Meanwhile Walter is going through a phase and has come home a bit irritated with absolutely everything. Pfft, tell me about it. He decides the best thing for it is a bubble bath.

As Agnes is just pulling Syrah in to her wardrobe next door.

Kirby, however, is back to mourning. Seriously, if I leave her on free will and don’t regularly check on her she would spend most of the day in front of the urn.

I decide it’s time for a night out with the girls. This time we’re at the karaoke bar, the one with the nice garden out the front. Anyway, what’s better than dancing with the entertainment?

Chiara: “Umm.. several glasses of wine of course?!”

Ah, I still absolutely love Chiara.

And Nancy… who seems to be getting absolutely trollied.

Nancy: “I’m making the most of being out tonight by whacking in the alcohol volume”

Well yes, I assumed as much…

In fact, I’m a little upset I didn’t get a nice photo of Kirby like this seeing as it was an outing on her rotation.

Whatever, the girls didn’t have a really late night as the family have plans today. But first thing’s first, Agnes develops the fear of being cheated on whilst sitting on the toilet. Yeah, that’s where I think of my relationship too, on the toilet…

But it’s Walter’s birthday to young adult today so we’re hosting a little shindig at home for everybody.

Things are going just great, in case you can’t tell.

Thankfully two kissing teens get it back on track. Enjoy, Walter because it’ll be a little bit of time before your next kiss…

It’s time to blow out the candles on the cake with seemingly no one else in the Sim Universe to care. That’s the running theme of this save apparently, and it builds character so get on with it.

Walter is now cheerful, responsible and has good manners. He kept the bodybuilder aspiration.

Agnes has more important business to take care of and decides to discuss her fear of infidelity with Syrah whilst Chiara sat and listened.

Worries quashed, these two are keen for a little private moment. Chiara has never been good at this type of thing has she…

Chiara: “Alright kids! Way to go!”

The party quickly gets back on track with video games. Everyone’s had a pretty great time.

Agnes spent the rest of the evening having some peace and quiet as she read her book.

Whilst Walter considers his young adulthood.

He goes straight in to the athletic career, you weren’t expecting any different were you?

The next day I decide to get Vihaan out of the house so we go to Willow Creek.

A bit of a let down really, as half the guys I invited didn’t show up, and those who did stood around talking about the beautiful plants you can get in the suburbs…

Johnny: “Umm.. this is a bit different to Partihaus?”

Yes, I know Johnny, I wanted to create a sort of outing group for the guys, but I messed up.

Back home, Agnes and Syrah go on a little date. They are such a wholesome couple, I really feel with them that it’s not always about the romance, but the friendship they have too… They just seem so strong and well rounded.

Agnes is having the time of her life, Syrah seems a little unsure of the strange human flying contraption. It’s a beautiful sunset too!

Back at home, Vihaan continues to see where the dating game is taking him… he’s taking things a little slower with Candice than he ever did with Sofia. Walter leaving for work in the background sets the tone perfectly.

Maybe it’s wise that Vihaan is taking his time with women now. Candice here for some reason is inconsolable as she randomly decides to mourn Ishaan, who, may I remind you all, is Vihaan’s father. I know, maybe some things in life aren’t worth knowing…

Back to a relationship that is actually working, Agnes and Syrah head out after school to one of the coffee shops in Windenberg.

I really love the look of this place. It seems so clean and contemporary. I don’t really have a lot of time to play the Sims these days, so even if something came out years ago, I’m still enjoying looking at it often for the first time (as I’m sure I’ve never properly looked at this cafe before).

Ishaan: “So this is my wife’s new lover is it?”

Ishaan spends a lot of his afterlife moping around the house these days in a state of ennui. I may release his spirit, but I also enjoy having him around..

No one else notices Ishaan’s presence anyway, Agnes is getting in to fitness with the help of Walter.

She also exchanges promise rings with Syrah as this rotation comes to an end.

Meanwhile, Kirby (who we’ve not seen a lot of this rotation) has a relaxing trip to the onsen.

And this move to Mount Komorebi seems to be doing the world of good for the whole family as Vihaan progresses to level 7 of the culinary track.

But that’s all we have time for this season! Join us next time for more fun with this lot. For once, I’ve not played ahead and I have no ideas in mind… so your guess is as good as mine for what happens next!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 3 – Spring – Cooper (2)

Welcome to more Oasis Springs Society. The rotational save that makes you go “hmm”.

And then probably shrug your shoulders in apathy. But I enjoy playing these little pixels and writing about them! So we carry on!

Last time with the Coopers…. Dates were had, Logan and Rocco moved out, Winterfest was celebrated and with the kids growing up, Nancy looked for ways to fill more of her free time.

I must admit, the start of the rotation felt a little empty without Logan in the house anymore. So the family went out to the pub in Windenburg to spend some time. As you can see, Florence is loving winning this game against her parents.

And even Sam has joined us!

It actually looks like wholesome family fun doesn’t it!

But, wholesome family fun comes to an end for a gathering of the whole crew at home!

Umm thanks Rocco. I was stunned to find that no one actually likes him. Everyone has a very minimal friendship bar with him and I’ve noticed when left to their own devices, he often argues with the rest of the crew. Oh well, there’s always one black sheep and it takes the heat off of Quartz doesn’t it.

Cliff has come prepared for the water slide. I like to think because he’s good friends with Johnny, he gave him the heads up to bring his swim trunks!

The only concern I do have with Cliff though, is that he still has an irrational fear of the dark / just being outside in general. When I played his rotation a while ago he developed a fear of the dark, and I couldn’t cure it in time so moved rotations. Ever since, the fear is no longer showing in Cliff’s simology page, but he still freaks out like it is. He’s been like this for so long now that I’m now past the point of caring. But he often goes around screaming at people.

The Morgan’s are of course being the Morgan’s.

And Florence decides to show Walter a selfie. Soon, Florence, soon. You age up tomorrow and then you can be together again.

The next day Kirby and Walter stop by. Which is convenient that they’re already here for the party!

I love these ladies so much!

And it just slays me that Walter (who is actually very respectful) always greets Florence’s father, Johnny, with a handshake.

Logan has also come back home for the party. In fact, pretty much the entire Oasis Springs Society is here.

Even though Logan would rather get cereal whilst his sister is aging up. And you will notice through the window that Johnny’s pull to the water slide is just too strong.

At least we still have Syrah to be a general sweetheart and celebrate.

After Florence ages up, Walter immediately pulls her in for a kiss. He really is smitten with her and always has been!

Florence is now self assured, mean, dastardly, happy toddler bonus trait and her aspiration remains chief of mischief.

It’s smooches all round as the party comes to an end. Everyone seems to have had a good time.

I was a little bit stuck with the direction to take Florence. I had always pictured her being the villain of this generation, but she simply isn’t mean enough. Not when compared to Quartz at least. She’s incredibly clever and quite independent, even with Walter head over heels in love with her, Florence really doesn’t seem that bothered. It was at this point, that the Jungle Adventure pack was being given away for free by Epic Games and I thought, this may be the unexpected direction I need…

So the family take a little holiday. Johnny loves the relaxed vibe of this place. Nancy immediately came in and started cleaning. I can imagine her being the sort of mum who doesn’t trust that the rental property has been cleaned to her standards after the last guests!

Sam joins us too of course! I figured he’d like the exercise. And I love this shot of Florence enjoying her first day on vacation.

The parents seem to be enjoying themselves too!

Nancy: “This place truly is beautiful isn’t it?”

We take a trip in to the village. Some of us have different motives to each other.

For Florence it is a chance to buy supplies for her to start looking for artefacts…

For the OG Oasis Springs Society, it’s a chance to try the delights of the local booze.

Hilariously, because this is the Sims and anything can happen, Vihaan was also here??

Florence: “Oh hey, Vihaan? Fancy seeing you here in the middle of the Selvadorada jungle?!”

Vihaan: “Hey Florence! Yeah, weird huh?! Well I’m just here to see the local sights, have a little vacation somewhere warm you know?”

Florence: “I see, well I’m going to be doing some exploring… have a great time Vihaan. Just one question though…”

Florence: “… why are you here with your ex wife?”

Yes, you can’t write it. Sofia Bjergsen has for some reason come to the middle of the jungle with Vihaan? Of all the other ladies Vihaan could have invited, he chooses her?! Maybe he’s trying to lure her to some of Selvadorada’s poisonous offerings?

Back in the cantina, it doesn’t take much for these two to be all over each other anyway (they are my most loved up couple!), but exotic drinks and the atmosphere of the place mean that these Florence and Johnny are giving multiple displays of affection.

In fact, they’re not even that bothered that their beloved daughter is going off galavanting in the jungle.

This place is really beautiful isn’t it?!

Anyway, please enjoy some pictures of Florence doing some cool explorer things.

And yes, it is chucking it down and she gets soaked.

So beautiful! I am actually quite impressed with this pack, so far I’m having fun. And Florence so far has actually found a fair few artefacts that she will need to validate.

Florence’s parents however have basically not moved from the cantina for the duration of the trip. Nancy is missing her friends from home it seems and decides to chat with these ladies. Her gossip just doesn’t hit the same as it does with Kirby and Chiara!

Florence opts for a different outfit the next day which may be more suited to the downpours she has experienced so far in the jungle.

Although I think it is definitely better for Florence to be out of the small vacation lot, as when these two aren’t drinking, they’re flirting.

Good boy Sam joins Florence for her exploring today.

But now our vacation is over. And it’s time for a quick swim before we head home.

Normality resumes.

Including Johnny’s definition of normality…

Johnny: “Oh water slide, I have missed you!”

Florence makes. a start examining her artefacts. It seems to be taking an age though, and I’m not sure if she’s doing it right? Maybe something to explore next rotation.

But anyway, she’s invited out for coffee by one of the Selvadorada locals she met on her trip.

They go to one of the nice coffee shops in Windenburg. And hey, he’s pretty cute! And it is love day…

We just so happen to bump in to Chiara, who completely isn’t bothered that Florence is on some form of date with this guy and not Walter…

And well, it certainly seems like she’s drawn to him….

Back at home, Florence continues her archeology whilst thinking about the options for her romantic interests… but that’s all we have time for this rotation.

Join us next time for more fun, adventure, and what will happen with Florence’s love interests? Your guess is as good as mine!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 2 – Winter – Evaristo

Good evening! It’s that time for some more Oasis Springs Society! We’re back with the Evaristo’s, our favourite family from outer space; where abouts exactly? Pfft, Quartz says somewhere far flung and remote, you wouldn’t have heard of it.

Right, let’s try and remember what happened last time. Cliff just did a lot of writing, novel after novel, got to get bestsellers for his aspiration…. Chiara carried on being a social butterfly but without the overwhelming psychological pressure of completing the party animal aspiration… Quartz demonstrated her evil trait perfectly and did nothing but argue with Syrah, causing him a whole range of complex emotional issues leading to him either having to pep talk to himself or cry in his bed almost on a rotation. And we had Syrah, who grew up with the aspiration of Mansion Baron, quite fitting really for a boy who is apparently desperate to run far away from his family. He also grew close to Agnes Joy Chandran and the two seem to compliment each other very nicely indeed!

The weather for winter in San Myshuno is always miserable. But when I send the family out places I always seem to forget that every world has awful winter weather apart from Oasis Springs. Chiara had to review some dishes for her job so we have a family outing to the bistro in Willow Creek. It’s also snowing heavy here but Chiara is able to warm herself by the fire.

The waitress has the genius idea to sit them outside, Cliff looks just thrilled, doesn’t he.

Although they do actually look here like a very nice picture of family life.

Hey who brought in the trash? Ha ha, seriously that joke just wrote itself. Get it, Sofia Chandran with some dirty dishes. Ah *wipes tear from eye*.

Sofia continues to try and get air time by popping up in various spots and acting casual about it. I’ve never seen this other woman before in my life, but see – she just wants me to be interested in her.

Anyway, back home Chiara came down with a nasty case of food poisoning. Eeek, way to go, poison the food critic – I bet they’ll get a bad review!

Anyway, we start off Monday morning with Syrah feeling gloomy. This is normally the case for him, he’s in a bad mood at least once a day.

Cliff however is loving life writing book after book. However still no best-sellers. I remember struggling with this aspiration an awful lot with my Waites legacy too. How on earth am I ever going to get 3 best-sellers?! Cliff does nothing else but write these days in the.hope of achieving it.

Anyway, we decide to hit the town in order to get away from miserable children and a husband who may as well be attached to the computer by ball and chain. The girls have not had a night out like this in a fair while and don’t they look great all dancing again!

Chiara and Kirby are really getting in to it. Meanwhile, Johnny has also turned up so Nancy goes over to flirt with her husband. Just like the old days really.

Readers will also note that Sofia Chandran is here as well. In the bottom left. *sigh*

Back at home we find Baako singing to our door for some reason.

Honestly, everyone truly believes they have weird neighbours I’m sure. But these ones really are something.

For work Chiara has to paint some graffiti. I hate this work task in the winter as all the areas to paint in the city are on the floor apart from this one on the arts centre, so it’s the only one that Chiara can use to complete this task because of the snow. Anyway, I digress.

Walter comes over for a bit that evening to socialise and also to try and get to know Quartz a little better so that all the kids are relatively decent friends.

As you can see, this perhaps isn’t going well as Quartz seems to be freaking everyone out with her story.

But whatever, it’s time for a night out and we pick the lounge so Chiara and Cliff can have a drink and Quartz can make a mess and go in the pool.

This kid still really loves swimming.

Ah yes, wholesome family fun. Kids swimming whilst the parents down cocktail after cocktail. Parenting attitudes must be a little different on Cliff and Chiara’s home planet.

Not for me to judge, Quartz decides to start another fight with her brother whilst this poor woman is left to clean up her mess.

I really love this chaotic little family, and actually I noticed that Chiara and Baako have made pretty good friends whilst I’ve not been playing their household. They’ve let bygones and little maid outfits be bygones apparently. See, neighbours can be good friends!

The next day it’s time for Winterfest. I normally serve a grand breakfast as opposed to a grand dinner as my sims are never normally too hungry for such a big meal at dinner time.

After breakfast, Quartz continues to not give a crap that Father Winter sees you when you’re sleeping, knows when you’re awake… and when you’re dropping 3 tubs of paint on the floor. Cliff also does not care apparently. But we knew already that his precious offspring from space can do no wrong.

However both kids do go to read books on free will?! Who’d have thought.

And it’s time to open the presents! Chiara didn’t actually like hers but she got a freaking karaoke machine!!! Quartz decides to throw some flour around whilst she waits for her turn.

She got something good for some reason, as she totally doesn’t deserve it…

And the family sinks in to their afternoon of fun and wholesome activities.

Quartz: *Evil cackle at her snowman army*

It’s soon time for Father Winter to make an appearance.

Quartz: “Hello and Welcome to our home Father Winter”

Father Winter: “My what a sweet little girl! Just let me go and re-stock your present pile!”

LIES! DECEIT!

Father Winter: “Ah, I love the alien houses! The hospitality is always first class”

Yes, because all Chiara does is drink!

The next morning Syrah tries his future cube before school. I asked about his love life which actually said it was blooming! This actually meant that Syrah went to school happy for once instead of completely miserable from his gloomy trait.

With both kids at school, the couple can work on their career goals. Cliff is still churning out the books. Chiara here has just topped the food critic career!

Quartz: “Now then baby McCuddles… I can hear the beat of your first heart, but what about your second heartbeat? And the song coming from your liver?! My daddy tells me every normal human has two hearts and a musical liver. You must be extremely sick! But don’t worry, I have just the medicine. Now tell me, are you allergic to poison?”

Umm, gulp.

Moving swiftly on, it’s time to introduce the girlfriend to the extended family. Even though I’m sure they all know each other already as this save is like one big family.

See, wholesome family times had by all.

Chiara: “Look Cliff! Your child can actually clean up after herself!”

It did make me laugh how genuinely happy Chiara looked that Quartz was doing something to reverse her destructive nature.

Still, coming from these two as your source of a stable upbringing I’m not sure what I expected…. Cliff is chained to the computer day and night until he gets us those 3 best sellers. And here is Chiara drinking cocktails for breakfast. You see…

Nancy still rings every day wanting another baby. Seriously, no matter what other family I’m playing this always happens. It’s quite sad really but I’m not giving the Coopers another child now! However today, Cliff also had the want for another baby! Which I really wouldn’t have expected of him.

Get your hands off of your wife, Cliff!

Well, they woohooed and that is it. You will note in Syrah’s bed too! Honestly why is the coding of this game sometimes so sick.

Still, we decide to get the whole group together for a meal at the bistro where again the server sits us right outside. Oh and look, best hide that pile of dirty plates from Chiara who is the city’s top food critic.

I must have forgotten that this is the same place that gave her food poisoning… to be honest it looks like Chiara forgot too as she’s having the best time!

Squee! It’s so nice seeing them all together!!

That night, I figure the kids also need to do something as a group. And what is a more wholesome bonding activity than underage clubbing? I mean I turned out ok…

They’re actually having the best time!

I love them all, Syrah is such a cutie!

Anyway, he goes to approach Agnes. These two still aren’t going steady and I want to try and make that happen so they don’t develop romantic relationships with anyone else when I’m playing another lot.

Anyway my plan was a success. So please enjoy the Syrah and Agnes selfies. I’ve got in to the habit of taking selfies of all my couples.

So adorable! Although Syrah’s happy aura makes him look actually bio-luminescent.

Anyway, the night came to a close when Partihaus came to show off their moves. Meaning that Johnny royally went all out with the dancing (at least Logan looks impressed), Chiara went straight to the bar. Seriously, I’m not even making this up.

That night, the Jang’s are back to their normal selves. Syrah, who is full of confidence from Agnes’ requited love is not in the mood to suffer fools tonight.

It actually works! Although I spared you a photo of Baako in his maid’s outfit again.

Finally the end of the week and it’s time to do a few chores before Quartz’ birthday. So she’s doing her homework at the art gallery.

Whilst Syrah goes to have a look around. I actually love this painting!

But this is the real reason we’re here. 2 hours of mural painting again. My least favourite work task.

As soon as we’re done though, it’s time to go to the park in Oasis Springs for Quartz’ party. Everyone is so predictable now. Of course Kirby is dancing and of course Chiara is serving drinks!

Anyway, enjoy the party spam. Everyone is having a great time.

Rocco has just slotted in to the crew seamlessly!

Meanwhile, Florence is hanging out with this group of delinquents at the jungle gym.

But it’s time to blow out the candles!

And look! Everyone came to cheer Quartz on. She is absolutely gorgeous but please excuse us 2 minutes whilst we find a mirror to give her her hair back.

So the kids got a table and decided to chat amongst themselves.

Although Rocco keeps supplying the under-aged with drinks!

And here she is! Quartz rolled art lover like her brother frustratingly. However, her rolled aspiration is… soulmate.

That’s right, Quartz who is one of my most evil sims wants to find the right person to settle down with. Although I suppose we could find someone who shares Quartz’ keen interests in sim misery.

She promptly decides to tell a story about sim death and suffering. What a delight.

Anyway, you will note that she still charges around the house like she owns the place.

Syrah quite literally just keeps his head down.

But the cocktail is suggestive that it’s time for the sim year to come to an end. Well, the cocktail might suggest that if it was anyone else but Chiara. We are already well versed in her little juice habit.

And knock me down with a feather, it is the siblings who spontaneously hug?! Syrah, the kid who used to cry every day at the thought of his sister, and Quartz who would torment him for jollies…

Have they finally let bygones be bygones? Pfft, I doubt it, but who knows. Join us next time for more Oasis Springs Society! Will Cliff ever write three best sellers? Will he ever even write one? How will things go with Syrah and Agnes? And will Quartz ever find a soulmate? Well, I dread to consider who he will be if she does!

Oasis Springs Society – Rotation 2 – Winter – Cooper

More Oasis Springs Society did you say? Welcome back. This time we’re with the Coopers in Oasis Springs.

Last time a few interesting things happened… Johnny completed his aspiration, Florence and Walter became a couple, Logan and Rocco became even closer… some outings with the Oasis Springs Society were had and we got Sam! And now I can’t imagine this family without him! It felt like a busy season last time and I guess it kind of was, as I managed caring for a dog and managing 2 teenage relationships.

Anyway, it looks like a pretty bleak start for the Coopers this morning.

Not that that stops Johnny from his favourite activity, the shark head slide! Closely followed by drinking coffee.

However, it’s a busy day considering it’s a Sunday as it’s someone’s birthday! That’s right, as I intend for him to be an established part of the family, I’ve held a birthday party for Rocco to age up to Young Adult (and then he stays slightly older than Logan too).

Of course Chiara was the first one to the bar, and Florence and Walter continued to be all over each other.

Yeah, everything seemed to be going as well as it could be, considering these types of social events always descend to chaos when you have to socialise with townies.

Speaking of which, Sofia decided to show up for some reason. Umm, you weren’t even invited hon.

Chiara: “Well she still wants her face to have some air-time”

Chiara, I think you should leave those two drinks there, you’ve had enough.

Anyway, poor little Rocco grew up pretty much on his own. Everyone apart from Florence, Syrah and this guy were all too busy drinking.

Nope, nope, not awkward at all.

Anyway, the rest of the party was spent socialising. Rocco grew up looking exactly the same (as teen to YA always do for some weird reason)… so we wrapped things swiftly up before it started to snow heavier.

Ah, it may be snowing just a couple of hours ago at the party, but in Oasis Springs it’s somehow warm enough in winter to still be able to walk your dog in a bathing suit. Go figure.

That afternoon Vihaan comes round for some video games, which you will notice throughout seasons, is something that he and Johnny like to do.

Umm, no one invited this lady though.

Florence however, was waiting outside for her young love. Walter Morgan is at this house pretty much every day.

Florence decides to show off her outfit, which is great honey, seeing as you look exactly the same as every other day *pats*.

These two take some cute relationship selfies by the front door.

Aww look!

I still don’t know how I feel about them as a couple. Walter is absolutely smitten for Florence, but I just don’t know how they suit each other… still, we’ll just see what happens.

Meanwhile, Logan has been asking for advice a lot recently, I think he’s trying to cram as much guidance in to his final teen years as possible.

And the afternoon carries on quite quietly…

Apart from Logan who goes and cries over something. I don’t know.. I think he may have even been having a mood swing at this point. I don’t remember.

At this point I remember Florence’s selfies. I think it’s pretty self explanatory which one we’ll be keeping.

Sam remains the best dog ever.

The next day, Florence comes home from school and to my delight has entered the ‘loud’ phase.

For a sim who is mean, this makes her even more obnoxious than usual and she goes to yell at Sam who looks extremely confused.

This broke my heart as I can’t stand people being mean to animals. Even pixel ones, so I do have Johnny go and discipline Florence about this.

Tired of the domestic bliss that this family brings, we decide to have an outing of the whole crew at the Oasis Springs bar. Johnny did start a comedy routine but as you can tell, no one cared.

The time was spent dancing instead.

And then the girls spotted an ice rink in the parking lot, so we went to do that for a little bit.

Considering these two have pretty good fitness skill, they spent a lot of time on their backsides. Johnny however, who absolutely hates fitness stayed on his feet the whole time.

Figuring that Nancy had significantly damaged her coccyx by now, and that the kids would be home from school, we go home.

Ah yes, home. The most comfortable place on earth. Florence now does nothing but swear and stomp around. It truly is very welcoming.

Sam also has a habit of sleeping right in the doorway leaving members of the family to magically glitch half of themselves through the wall.

But none of that really matters on a day like today. It’s Winterfest!

Nancy looks particularly happy with her cooking.

After a grand breakfast it’s time to decorate the tree. You can tell that this is one of Nancy’s favourite traditions. She’s so homely.

Johnny: “At least I still have time for the slide!”

Yes, you do, although is there any point in the umbrella? The rain is doing nothing that you’re not already doing to yourself…

Johnny then goes to his second love, to fix the coffee pot. I figured it would be quite ironic if he died of electrocution fixing this thing. Thankfully, he remained alive.

Anywho, it’s time for a Winterfest birthday. Logan is quietly growing up to young adult.

For his final trait he rolled jealous.

One of my least favourite traits of the whole game. Great. I am now going to have a lifetime of ‘where’s my partner?!’ moodlets. I used to really like you, Logan. Don’t let me down.

I have plans for Logan and Rocco to get their own home at the end of the season and to have Logan start a different career. In the mean time he takes a job in business for some quick cash and goes to work on his logic skill.

Not that he has much time to practice, as look who is literally sprinting down the street.

Rocco: “Oh Logan my love! I came as quick as I could. Those three days whilst I was an adult and you were a teen were hellish! Thank our plumbobs that we’re now the same age again and can continue our relationship!”

More soppy stuff was said, hands were held, kissing was done etc etc.

And as I said, Walter is here almost every day. No one invited him, but for some reason he has no problem whipping his clothes off to go on the slide with his girlfriend’s dad.

Walter: “Hey, I always pack my swim trunks when I come here!”

With all the chaos going on outside, it’s easy to forget that it is still Winterfest.

Father Winter only gives gifts to the kids this year as they were the only two bothered by it. Johnny and Nancy were showing their age and were in bed having a nap by 8pm!

Logan gets a good present, I don’t think Florence did.

The next morning is started with a jog. It’s felt a bit difficult this season as there isn’t a lot of winter plants in the garden to tend and with the kids growing up, Nancy hasn’t had a lot to do.

So she takes Sam out to Brindleton Bay.

But I forgot that everywhere in Winter apart from Oasis Springs is covered in snow and it seemed pointless having a drink and freezing to death, so we go home.

Bartender: “You would be surprised the lengths some sims go to for a drink. I’m out here in all weathers and I really think my employer needs to do more in terms of workplace protections!”

Umm,… join a union, is all I can say…

Florence is no longer loud, but she is incredibly overdramatic, or whatever the phase is.

For a sim who is mean, argumentative and generally standoffish, she does nothing but cry at the drop of a hat.

Here we go again. She was so over the top with this one that I really thought she was going to collapse to the floor. So I thought long and hard… what would cheer Florence up….?

Well! Working on her aspiration of course! She has to do some pranks on someone, so I peruse my list of victims… by which I mean, see who’s walking by the house.

She picks this lady, but is lacking so much confidence that she can’t even complete her prank. Good Llama Above, Florence! Get on with it.

Lady: “Aww, it’s alright dear, be as mean as you like. I’m a townie, this is the most social interaction I’m ever going to get, I’m glad of it… get it out your system”

Anyway, the next day, Florence is at school and Logan is at work. My daughter was playing my save and I only just realised that this bar has a downstairs!! So I sent Nancy and Johnny to their favourite date spot to have some drinks and try it out.

It was all going well until this lady flirted with Nancy. Johnny was absolutely raging and let this ruin the date. What is it with townies and their lack of shame?

We have a quick game on the football table and then head home.

Johnny is taking the solitary flirt a little hard. Umm, Johnny, you’re only hurting yourself by doing that because I’m going to make you pick it up and put the rubbish back in straight away…

Deciding to focus on a relationship where the couple doesn’t hate each other, Logan and Rocco go out to dinner in the middle of a blizzard.

Mortimer and Bella also decide to show their faces.

Where Bella and this guy immediately flirt. Mortimer genuinely doesn’t seem to care. I don’t understand how he feels so comfortable being ignorant to his wife across the entire sims franchise.

Mortimer: “Hey, when you’re getting as much as I am, you tend to be able to look the other way about the small stuff.”

Umm, he means as many chess matches, kids. Hmm, yes, as many chess matches. The Goths and their small, wooden pieces… am I right?!

Rocco turns up looking like a member of the Men in Black. But these two are having a nice evening.

Even Trevon and Kirby are here! He’s currently strutting out thinking of spaceship woohoo. Ok Trevon, whatever you like.

Anyway, these two are the absolute cutest of cute couples. I love them, they compliment each other so well.

Here they are complimenting each other, whilst Chiara is dining out with this guy?

I have absolutely no idea. I don’t know who this guy is, I’m not sure why he knows Chiara, I’m not sure why he’s wearing something quite casual to a fancy restaurant, I’m not sure why Chiara is with a guy who is lowering the tone so much. Anyway, the boys don’t seem to mind and only have eyes for each other.

After their meal, they go back to the house for the night. I was pretty impressed, it was the night on the town event and I was expecting some money off the bill, but they got their dinner completely free!

They decide to take some selfies in the garden, when Logan asks Rocco to move in. Rocco’s stats are as follows:

Rocco McRae: Mean, Outgoing, Vegetarian, Collector
Aspiration: The Curator

Now, I was in a bit of a dilemma, as I play a cheat free game. I moved Rocco’s family in to a large house in Oasis Springs. They are richer than the sultan. Even with buying a mansion, they still had close to 1 million in the bank. Now, I have plans for these two to buy a comfortable home and work on their respective careers (more on that when I play their rotation!) so I had to work out how much money to move Rocco in with.

I figured that 60k was pocket change, and would help set the boys up with a pretty decent home when they move out at the end of the season.

I was also robbed, as Rocco isn’t an alien at all! But we all saw what we saw when they started dating, Logan fooled around with Rocco and was pissed that he’d been deceived as Rocco was an alien. I was pretty cross about this, but it’s a good job I love these two instead of being inclined to break them up. I’m sure I’ll let Rocco off.

It was at that precise moment, with one day left of the season, that Johnny Zest goes outside ready to be picked up for his date with a probe and an alien with the initials PT.

Damnit! I know they wanted another baby but not like this!!! I was on tenterhooks for the rest of the season watching out for any signs of alien pregnancy, but thankfully the aliens decided they didn’t want to use Johnny’s genes for the purpose of alien / sim procreation.

Florence: “Brother.”

Now you may be wondering who gave the teenager that cocktail. It was Rocco! I’ll let him off because he was celebrating New Years, but he’s already absolutely hilarious.

The rest of the family then decide to have a meeting in the bathroom.

Before counting down til midnight.

Meanwhile, Johnny is throwing up. I was seriously concerned at this point. But no, thankfully no alien pregnancy, just a sickness bug.

And we finally celebrate the new year. Vihaan has joined us for the occasion, whilst Florence doesn’t seem to give two hoots.

These two see in the new year with some kisses though! I have a feeling Logan and Rocco are going to get on just great.

Join us next time for more Oasis Springs Society. Next in the rotation we’ll be with the Evaristo’s. When we join the Coopers again we should have Florence growing up and Logan and Rocco moving out and experiencing the beginning of their lives together. Find out next time if Florence’s mood swings will ever stop – will she finally be able to be mean to people?! Will Nancy and Johnny have a nice, normal, romantic date together?
